"Greetings, this is Joseph Mladic and it's my pleasure to inform you all that our website is finally up. Check back here often for additional laws and reforms we'll be announcing."
Ooc- Basically I got tired of having dozens of different threads of each law and reform, and since I do alot, I'm sure folks will have an easier time with them all in one thread.

2003 Law, that failed to be registered with the legal authority for reasons of a clerical error.
Individual Morality Act of 2003- Outlawed "Self-abuse" (masturbation) and banned the sale, importation, use, or possession of tampons. The only exception being if the woman obtained written permission from her husband or father to get the products in question.
At the time, the Minister of Health, Dr. Baldur Von Schacht, stated, "We have clear evidence that not only don't they work, but also that women are supposed to be paying for the sins of their ancestor, Eve, tell me, how are they paying for their sins if we give them artificially comfortable lifes? Hey, who helps me out, nobody has ever done anything to help me out. Anyway, women shouldn't be putting things into their body, it's just sick and unhealthy. This law will help our entire nation."
(The law was suggested and written by Dr. Schacht, and only passed after he basically spent twelve hours arguing and debating about the merits of the law.)

In the event you're wondering about the tampon laws. 94% of men and 100% of women polled (out of 100,000,000) said they were against it. Over 200 million people signed a petition to get it repealed. There were over 80 million male workers in the coal mining, steel, iron, railroads, and docks, who went on strike for about 4 months (they thought the law was unfair to their wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters)
The law would have been repealed, but Baldur Von Schacht, the key lobbiest for the law (you'll find out why he hates women in a while, it'll be covered in 1976), was and still is, a great friend of Curtis, and Curtis refused to repeal it and thus make Baldur look bad.
But the law was written in such a way, that for 3 weeks after it passed, there was a loophole where current stock tampons and foreign tampons, could still be bought and sold. So men just went to Louisiana and Alabama to stock up for their wives and other female relatives. Also companies turned out over 50 times regular production for those 3 weeks, and most people stocked up. So it wasn't really even an issue, although most folks stocks will be running out in the early summer of 2005, so it'll likely be an issue then.
Also, there is a large black market, since most men, and all women, don't see a problem with the items, and they don't care to hassle people over them. Furthermore, only the Public Morality Police even bother enforcing the laws, the regular police could care less. Basically it won't become an issue until mid 2005 (probably June)

Or if the lord so chooses, he may elect to have first rights with the woman in question, and waive the fee. The law was dusted off the books, it was rather old. It had been originally signed into law by Arthur Frick.
