The Beginning of the Rebellion (Act One)(Invited rp)

Intro

The factions rivals of the Ottoman Empire, was about to build over into total civil war. The growing discontent with the policy of isolation, force the Ottoman Government to take a vote, on should they end the policy of isolation or keep the policy of isolation. Those who wanted to end the policy of isolation were called Doves; those who wanted to keep the policy were called Hawks. This key issue would set off the chain reaction to being of one the greatest civil wars in world history. Millions will die as a result of this civil war. This will test the loyal of men, and test the limits of what one will do for county. The Dune Jihad civil wars have begun….

At the Parliament building ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/Buildings/Menshikov_palace.jpg), the ministers were debating the issue of ending the period of isolation, They about vote on the matter. The debates were getting very heated between the ministers.

Prime Minister Uthman Bin Bashir (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/baltar.jpg) rose up as the Minster were yelling at each other. He yells out in Arabic.” The closing the arguments on this matter will be heard, after that we will vote on the matter.”

We facing a war against the Manchus-China Empire and other threats are rising in the world. We must maintain this policy for the good of the empire.”

Another Hawk minister rose up

A Dove Minister raised up to counter the Hawks

The voting began. The result was 250 vote against ending isolation, yet 350 votes for ending the isolation.

After the votes were announced, there was a massive up roar from the Ministers who were against ending isolation. They watched with key interesting on how would the House of Vizier decide on the matter…

Now, the ball was in the count of the Viziers to vote the matter of ending the Isolation for the Ottoman Empire…

The Viziers were more bitterly debating the issue of end Isolation; it was turning into a shouting match between most of the viziers. At one point, the viziers were about to get into a first fight over the matter. The Sultan and Grand Vizier who where present at the meeting, had enough of insane auguring of the viziers.

The Sultan Suleiman Al Bashir II (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/el_fadil.gif) rose ,then he pounded his walking cane on the House floor , in hopes of getting order.” Order in the House, we will vote on this heated matter.”

Then Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasa Sokollu (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/marcus.jpg) rose up to have his said.” This issue is very key to the Empire policy, we must vote and vote in hopes of fixing this dilemma that the Empire is facing right now. Now those who will vote against this vote no, those for it vote yes.”

The results of the vote were 90 against ending isolation and 110 for ending isolation, then most of the viziers who were against the ending isolation, went insane. There was a massive uproar that was coming from the defeated viziers.

Yet in his hopes were in vain. About 20 minutes later, the JAGs have made their decision not to over turn the passage of the ending isolation. This was the breaking point for the faction’s rival, the chain reaction as began. All was about to break in the Ottoman Empire.

When word hit the House of Vizier and Parliament, the Hawk Vizers and Ministers who were Turkish, Kurdish, Arab, Persian, Turkmen and other who were for the Middle Eastern areas of the empire, throw their fez on the ground, as a sign of rebellion. Then they walked over them and storm out of the Governments building, the Sultan, Grand Vizier and the Prime Minister try their best to restore order, yet it was in vain. Yet most of the Hawk General saw their chance to overthrew the government and put a hawk leadership in power. The Hawk had a plan when events like this happen, it call for a mass rebellion from troops to common man to rebel. They decide it was time to do this for the good of the empire.

As new travel the Empire of beginning the of the rebellion. Ottoman admiral by the name of Ma'ruf al-Shami al-Asadi, who was in command of the Eight Flag fleet (In the South China Sea, Base in Kota Kinabalu), saw his chance to start the rebellion. He orders his hawk officials to begin to attack the loyalist officials, the entire naval base has fall into chaos, as hawk rebel forces raid the Arm deports and began to attack loyalist strongholds in the base. On Board most of the fleet ships, loyalist sailors and rebel sailor was in heavy gunfights claim many lives, this flashpoint began the civil war with the attack of loyalist forces in the Eight Flag Fleet. Another major base thought the empire began rebel or trying to crush the rebel forces. In the cites of the empire, riots began breaking out. The Rebels in the mobs began attacking police stations and breaking in, then taking all the arms in the station. Most of the major cites were in full blow riots. Local law enforcement was unable to stop the riots, they meaning overwhelm by anger mobs and train troops. The most of the arm forces were busy fighting themselves to help the local forces. Chaos was spreading to every Province of the empire.

In the background, you can hear rebels forces and loyalist force fighting each other on the streets of Istanbul, the sounds of RPG fire were being hear and the artillery shelling of the loyalist forces counterattacking the postions of rebel forces in Istanbul, became background noise for the local people of the city. The sights of Mobs being shot down by police was becoming more common in cites of the Ottoman Empire.

“Sir, most of my commanders and generals are reporting their garrison are revolting or trying to crush the mutiny’s within army, they are reporting they cannot send support to the local loyalist forces as of now. Also the Navy is trying to stop the mutiny, which is going out of control. “Sultan the OI headquarters in Bursa, is under heavy attack from rebel forces, my agents and loyalist forces are hold them off for now. “I do believe the hawks have plan this to happen so that they can set their leadership within the empire. Also I will deal with them soon and make them pay for what they have done to the empire. Let us hope our commanders were able to crush the rebels and be able to aid the local forces to crush this rebellion. Khan order the OI agents in the field to began hurting for rebel leaders, also have the assassin to kill any suspects leaders of the rebellion. Sultan went to his meeting room, where all the governors and generals were waiting for him, all them on the Flatscreen via tel conference system. Most of them were shouting about the rebellions and other matters at each other.

“Silence!” Yell out the Sultan , “ I call upon each one of you to renew your oath of blood loyal to the state, if you do not renew your loyal, you will be put down for all time as traitor to the empire!”

All at once at least of the governess and generals disappears; they were supporter of the rebellions, because they have refused to renew their pledge of loyal. Those have stayed were still loyal the Empire. They all began renewing their oath of loyal to the empire.

After his loyal officers and governors renew their pledge of loyal, The Sultan and his staff began ploting for the future of the empire.

The Rebellion was growing and cause completely chaos for most of the empire, no one was sure how this rebellion will change the empire….time would tell what would happen to the Ottoman Empire. As the rebellion kept getting worse , the sultan was force to declare martial law throughout the empire.

Intro
The Ottoman Arm forces were spilt in two camps, one for the loyalist camp and one for the rebel camp. The Army went 50 percent to the rebellion and 50 percent to the loyalist, the navy went 80 percent to the loyalist and 20 percent for the rebellion, then came the air force which went 60 percent to the loyalist and 40 percent to the rebellion camp. In all the cites of the empires massive riots were breaking out , that were overwhelming the local police forces. Chaos was spreading most of the empire. Street fighting between loyalist and rebel become a common sight in all the cites of the empire. Soon other ban parties of the empire, saw their chance to rise up against the empire , and from their own rebellions against the government forces. These were the Union and Progressive parties in Turkey and Southern Ottoman Balkans, then the Communist parties that led a full blow rebellion in Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Georiga, Armeia, Azerbajian, Dagestan, Chechnya, Alania.Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea, Krasnodar, Stavropol, Kalmykia, Astrakhan, Croatia, Hungary, and Romania Provinces. The situation kept getting worse for the loyalist forces, new travel that the rebel progresses, loyalist provincial government are overthrew and rebel government are sit up to run the rebel held lands. In some key regions became flashpoints between the rebels and the loyalist forces.

We are not able to crush the rebellions in some areas, do to the fact that our arms to are busy trying to purge themselves of loyalists or rebels depending whom the majority are loyal to…also the civil war is causing the collapse of exports throughout the empire. The most hardest hit export is oil…its been 14 days since the start of the civil war. The Ottoman Joint Stock Oil Companies are all collapsing to do the lost of most the oil production regions or being cut off by the rebels. Also our other companies nearly on verse of collapse, we are being force to use the gold and silver reserves to maintain the companies afloat. “Sir, I have more to add to this …. The Eight Flag Fleet as completely joins the rebellion; they are in the position to attack any of our loyalist bases in Ottoman Southeast Asia. In the Libyan desert regions, 10,000 Berbers and Arabs amass in middle of no where at night to discuss what is to be done, with rebel take over of most the coastal areas of Ottoman Libya, the inland areas were still in the hands of the loyalist forces. Most of these men were nomads or army corp. officials who fled the rebel take over of Libya. They were in meeting on how should they counter the rebel’s forces, which outnumber them by ten to one. Yet their leader reassures them that they must win in the name of loyal to the state. He give his speech to his men

He was a loyalist minister from Parliament, who went back to his homeland of Libya. As soon as the civil war began.. to get support of his people in the war against the rebellion.

“Oh people of the Ottoman North Africa, we must kept on fighting the traitors of the empire. We must raid their supply lines and arms deports for the good of the empire. Then the viceroy ended the meeting and began to plan a massive counter attack on know rebel positions…

Similar meeting were taking place thought loyalist areas of the Ottoman Empire on what is to be done for the empire. As meeting began, the rebel and loyalist fighting kept on getting bloodier by day. Well over 40,000 had died thanks to this civil war…and it was growing in ever increase numbers.

Today the Ottoman Government as began to expel all foreign envoy in Ottoman land, for their well begin do this the unrest that is going on within the Ottoman Empire. Also the Ottoman Government as order the shutdown of exports, do the unrest, the Ottoman Joint Stock Oil Company as release this statement relating to this matter.....

We regret to inform the nations that import Ottoman Oil, that we are no longer be exporting the oil . Do the unrest in the Ottoman Empire; we do not know when we will export the oil. Please bear with us, as we try to restore to the empire.

Act III

After much debating the Ottoman Government agree to ask Ottoman Empire allies for advisers to help the loyalist in the civil war. A letter was send to all the allies that could send aid to the Ottoman Empire.

The Ottoman Government request that your nations please send advisers to help the loyalist in the civil war, we are in need of your help. We ask that you send us fact sheet on the advisers you’re planning to send us. This will aid to us, to assign the adviser to what area, that he or she is best at.

The Democratic Imperium of Praetonia shall, of course, assist her old allies. We
cannot, however, pledge military support as we are deeply involved with two
wars currently, and any further deployments would dangerously overstretch our
military forces to the point of causing a detremental effect on performance on
other fronts. We are willing to offer you two advisors, an ambassador and a
General, who will do their best to help you fight this war.

General Sir Marcus Lupindus

General Luindus joined the army at the age of 17, entering as a Lieutenant. He quickly rose through the ranks to become a Lieutenant Colonel in command of the 76th Battalion deployed to --Hong--Kong--, where his troops performed admirably and he was promoted to Lieutenant-General. He was then given the command of the occupation force sent to The Upper Congo following said nation's surrender to Praetonian forces. He was briefly Governor-General of The Upper Congo before sovereignty was restored and he was placed in command of the 4th and 7th Armoured Battalions currently stationed there as a Major General. Now a full General at the age of 57, he serves on the General Horseguards High Command Council and is awaiting shipment to Ottoman Khaif where he will be tasked with advising the Government and Loyalist forces on military tactics.

Sir Julius Thrax, OPI

Sir Julius Thrax started his career as a Local Councillor, before moving on to gain a seat in Parliament. After serving on the Liberal-Imperialist back-benches for many years, Thrax retired from politics and entered the Diplomatic Service. Starting out as the Deputy-Ambassador to Momanguise, he quickly rose through the ranks and spent 3 years as Praetonian Ambassador to Sarzonia. His career reached its high-point when he was awarded the Order of the Praetonian Imperium, and he has now been reassigned away from Sarzonia to advise the Ottoman Khaif government during the looming Civil War.

Unfortunately, I am afraid we will be unable to commit soldiers at this time, for our relations with Kahta, Decisive Action, and the Dracun Imperium are at this time less than good. Dossier #1: Major Hannover, John Ryan
Major Hannover (http://www.uaf.edu/journal/extreme/Patriot/images/mike.jpg) serves in the Intelligence branch of the Malkyer Home Guards. He graduated third in his class at the Malkyeri War College and has seen action in both Zanziik and Pushka. At the relatively young age of 35, he has already distinguished himself as one of the best interrogators in the Army. He has impressive language skills, being fluent in French, German, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese.

Dossier #2: Captain Henfield, Lewis
Captain Lewis (http://www.ngcsu.edu/Univ_Rel/Digests/Burkett2.jpg) is the junior of the pair, at 27 years. He formally holds a commission in the Royal Army, though his work is actually done for the RIA (Royal Intelligence Agency), specifically in the field; he observes enemy tactics and records them for further study by both the Army and RIA. Despite his lack of signifcant battlefield experience (He saw minor action in the "New Crusade"), he is considered an expert by many in the RIA on guerrilla warfare, its execution, and countermeasures. He finished first in his class at the Royal University. It is best not to give him too many tasks, as he has a tendency to forget some details.

Major Hannover walked down the steps, blinking in the sunlight. He and Henfield's plane had just touched down, slightly behind schedule due to the chaos concerning the Dracun Imperium. Once he reached the bottom, he checked his service automatic, and turned to face Captain Henfield. "Well, Lewis, I hope our guide is here. Hmm, I hope we get sent somewhere like Europe. I'm afraid I'm not a huge fan of heat," he said, grinning. Neither man was, both of them from northern Malkyer. To them, twenty-five degrees Celcius was sweltering. Spending a long time in a place like North Africa...would be less than pleasant.

Here is a overview of the factions of the Civil War
The civil war as a take in faces and many forms, we have found there are at least three major rebel factions working against the Government. Each faction has his or her own goals for the empire. One of the key factions of the civil war is the Hawk faction, its goal is speared the empire to every corner of world, they are an insane faction, that will led to the death of the empire. The Hawks are found everywhere; in most of the empire rebels are Hawks. Next up is Union and Progressive faction, they are nationalist factions, which their goals are to gain control of the empire and start many wars against the foes of the empire, so that the empire will grow in power and also to crush anyone in their way. They mostly base in Asia Minor region of the empire. Last but not least is the Communist faction, its goal, is to turn the empire into a communist state, and spread Communism to throughout the world. They are base in the Balkans, and Ottoman Ukraine-Russia.

And Now for Battle reports

Heavy fighting is being report in Keiv, Ottoman Ukraine. Loyalist forces are doing their best to crush the communist forces in the city, the death as been reported to be around 40,000 for both sides

More reports of fighting breaking out in Belgrade, Ottoman Serbia. The Hawk faction as gain the upper hand in the battle and forcing loyalist forces out of the city area. Yet we getting reports of Ottoman Dragoon Second Corp is getting ready to support a counterattack to regain the city in the name of the empire.

Reports are coming from Libya, that loyalist forces are forcing rebel troops to retreat, after cutting off the supply lines.

The Ottoman Government send a car to pick up the two officials from Malkyer,their packages and other items were put in the car. They were taken to Ottoman High Command Building, which was just outside of Istanbul, there thousands of Ottoman Loyalist troop keeping watch over the area around High Command. Then the defense minister told them to get on the next plane to Ottoman Serbia….

It was alot of flying for the past two days, and neither man was enjoying it. Hannover was at least glad that the plane was air conditioned. Henfield looked over to him. "So, we're heading to Serbia?"

"Yeah, that's what Minister Koruturk said. We'll be with the Second Dragoon Corp, based out of a place called Pristina."

"At least Serbia isn't so hot," Henfield joked. The Balkans meant mountain fighting, a prospect neither looked forward to.

The flight from Istanbul to Pristina was a short one, and they soon arrived at the base...

The Ottomans pick up the two Malkyer officials and took them to the base where the Second Dragoon Corp was station. They got out of car, and were escorted to the command center. "They lack artillery and air support? Unless I'm missing something big here, that's where we'll want to hit them," Major Hannover responded. "Artillery is the teeth of any army; air superiority is crucial. Now, the way I see it, there are three ways we could go about this. One, a battle of attrition, using our advantage in artillery to wear them down over time. Two, a hard and fast attack on the city itself using infantry, clearing it street by street, et cetera. Finally, we could try to draw them out and defeat them in a set piece battle. There are advantages and disadvantages to all of these plans, though. Attrition conserves our troops, but it ties us down. Urban fighting is quick, but costly. A set battle, that makes me nervous because they have a distinct advantage in numbers. Quantity has a quality all it's own, I'm afraid. But," he continued, "I'm not the most experienced in matters such as these. Do you have any suggestions, Captain?"

Henfield shook his head. He had little concrete experience in the field.

“These rebels are not to be easy fooled, they know their best chance is to stay inside the city at all cost. A massive artillery attack must do to weaken the rebel’s force. We will do massive air raids on key positions on the rebel forces. I’ll call in the B-52s and A-10s to began their runs on the city. Then will storm the city with the support of our amour crops.” Reply Commander Ramiz Alia

“The last item on the agenda is a bit more difficult,” Vice Premier Coyotepec Xoxoctic said, somewhat displeased. “Our intelligence has shown the Ottoman Empire is in a state of civil war and virtual collapse. Now, we know there is a strong communist movement in the Empire. Some in the AIA have suggested sending in a team to see what there status is and possibly help out the rebels.”

A general for the AIA stood up and proudly said, “The AIA believes this is our time to act. With the rise of anti-communist forces across the world, this is our opportunity to take a valuable asset and use it.”

“I don’t know.” Said Vice-Premier Coyotepec. The Aztec Union and the Ottoman Empire has had pretty stable relations. “The people already are suffering enough, current estimates place casualties above 700,000. I don’t feel we have a right to do this. I would like to see the expansion of our system, but the price for this scenario is too high.”

The General, Lt. General Javier Rodriguez, stood up angrily and said, “Vice-Premier, this will be a simple operation, we won’t have much to worry about.”

“Simple?” Asked Premier Quetzalcoatl, “I don’t believe this will be simple, in fact, I believe this will be quite a disaster. Even if we were to be successful, does it make it right?”

“But our system is at stake!” Once of the congressmen in the 5 person Intelligence board yelled out.

“However, when we are dealing with human life, we shouldn’t put political priorities first.”

The debate continued for 15 minutes. They began to vote on the issue.

Vice Premier Coyotepec, chair of the Intelligence Board, started, “No.”

Next was Lt. General Javier Rodriguez, “Yes.”

The fourth member, Congressman John Kirkland, “Yes.”

It all came down to the last member, Intelligence Minister Tonahuac. Both sides had made good arguments, and he knew the possible repercussions for this mission would be high, possibly war – a very grim possibility. However, the trade off would be great for the ANL. He looked at the 5 member board, and said calmly, “Yes.”

Under his breath, Premier Quetzalcoatl cursed. “Well, then let it be known, aside from our objections, the council has decided to proceed with this mission. Finance Minister John Carter will be notified of this and funds will be appropriated to help its completion.”

Without showing anger, Vice Premier Coyotepec then said, “This meeting is adjourned.”

All the Ottoman officials got and when to their units, the march to Belgrade had began….

Captain Henfield smiled to himself. This was the way things were done. He'd seen counter-insurgency action in Malkyer, during a brief civil uprising in a southern province. People like this, you can't negociate with them, he thought. You could a nice and as generous as possible, and they'd end up stabbing you in the back. But these Ottomans, they knew what was what. None of this New Age "hearts and minds" crap, just good old-fashioned justice. He wanted to be out there with the front-line troops. Yeah, he thought, I could really get to like these guys.

Major Hannover was more sedate in his thoughts as he prepared to move out along with Commander Alia. There was something about this man he didn't like, something he couldn't pin down. He didn't know, or even have an idea of what the future held. That made him nervous, because he was an intelligence officer, and knowing things was his business. He hoped Alia wouldn't do anything...rash.

Approximately 20 minutes after the council voted for the mission in the Ottoman Empire, the AIA sent out a telegram to 4 agents.

Dmitri Korolev sat on the patio of his Veracruz home. He gazed at the ocean, lapping up, as the sun sat behind him. Despite the restful, peaceful scene, Korolev felt nervous, very nervous. Something didn’t feel right at all. Hell, last time he felt like this was right before the first ANL civil war, about 10 years ago, and that happened to be one bloody war. He decided he needed a drink.

He left the patio and went into his house, going for the refrigerator. Opening it quickly, he grabbed a glass of tequila, grabbed a small shot glass and poured some of the potent alcohol into the glass.

“What the hell?” Korolev asked aloud.

He walked over to a fax machine and pulled out the paper being printed out. Putting down the shot glass, he began to read it. His heart sunk, and, in nervousness, grabbed the shot glass and downed the tequila. He then moved to his room to pack his bags.

“DAMN IT!” An enraged Miguel Herrera asked. “I’m supposed to be retired! I shouldn’t be pulled out of retirement like this!” Angrily, he paced back a forward in his apartment. He hadn’t been retired for three months and the AIA pulls an Article 29 on him, “Reactivation of Retired Agents.” Yet, there was nothing, absolutely nothing he could do. Angry, frustrated and severely irritated, Miguel sat down in his chair and read over the fax. “Great, well, I guess I have to start packing.” He got up and walked towards his room, cursing in Spanish the whole way there.

Dmitri Korolev, Jasmine Hernandez and Sergio Garcia met together in Veracruz International Airport. They were in a private section of the airport, reserved for AIA Agents.

Miguel Herrera walked into the room, still upset about this backdoor draft. “Alright, what’s the plan?”

Jasmine Hernandez looked up and was stunned, “Miguel, I thought you were retired.”

Miguel, although annoyed, replied, “I was retired, they Article 29’ed me.”

Not wanting to add insult to injury, Jasmine quietly said “Oh.”

Dmitri stood up, “Alright, everyone. As you know, we will be in different sectors, so this will be the last time we meet before we get back to the ANL. I will be the sole agent in Ottoman Russia and Miguel, Jasmine and Sergio will be in Ottoman Al-Andalus. Miguel is the veteran officer of the group, so he is in charge. I believe we all know what our goals are, correct?”

They nodded.

“Alright, then, I guess we can begin. We will all fly to the Ottoman Empire and have a stop over in another country and transfer to a different flight. Hopefully, that effort will prevent the ANL from being implicated if we are caught.” Finished Dmitri.

They all then got up, walked over to their respective airport gates, and waited for their plane to come to the gate. Nervously, they waited. They all knew this would be a dangerous mission. Ottoman Khaif was known in the spy world as being almost impossible to escape. Miguel Herrera really was nervous, not only was his retirement deferred, he was being put in harm’s way and possibly lose his life. The other people seemed calm and content, but inside, they were extremely nervous inside too.

The jet rolled up to the gateway and the doors were open. Nervously, the group got up and walked solemnly into the jet. They had bad vibes, this could be the last time they would be in the ANL, and this could be the last hours of their lives. The poignant reality was, however, they had no choice.

Ten minutes after their plane landed, the two Praetonian advisors were already making their way through the streets of Istanbul towards the Ottoman Khaif military headquarters.

General Lupindus spoke first, "I am of the belief that one the rebel navy is destroyed and certain key strategic positions are taken, mainly those closest to Istanbul, the rebels will be as good as beaten. With no way to ship in ammunition and supplies from the outside world and being surrounded on all sides, they will have to admit defeat."

At which point Ambassador Thrax took over, saying, "And at that point we hope you can end all further bloodshed by negotiating a peace agreement. Arresting or killing all the rebels would be brutal and impractical, so we suggest that you offer the leaders immunity from prosecution on condition of exile. When they are in exile they can be... taken care of... as you see fit. I must, however, advise that you do not badly harm the rebel 'footsoldiers' - they are a large group, and killing or arresting them all would cause wide spread resentment. It would be better simply to disperse them throughout the Empire so they can cause little threat. Possible deport them overseas."

The Ottoman Dragoon Second Corp made it to Belgrade, it took well over six hours of slowly moving to Belgrade, do the fact they were busy crushing remaining rebel forces in the area around Belgrade. The Ottoman force reach the city limits, they began to dig themselves in the area. All was quiet in the city, as the First and Second corp. began getting really for a attack on the city. The artillery emplacements were being set up around the city. The rebels decide it would be best to wait for the loyalist to enter, then they will began the real fighting for the city. Yet the Loyalist had something else in mind for the rebels. Well over 40 G5: 155mm towed gun Howitzer and 80 The PzH 2000 155mm self-propelled howitzer began a massive artillery attack on Belgrade. It lasted well over four hours of nonstop artillery fire their cannons at know rebel areas, soon the attack on the city itself will began…..

As the artillery bombardment began, Captain Lewis Henfield went searching for the Ottoman officer in charge, Commander Alia. He found him, as expected, at the Second Dragoon Corps CP.

"Commander," he began, "I have a request. It has long been my dream to take up arms in the fight for justice, and never before have I had such an opportunity. If you will let me, I would be honored to fight alongside your men, sir." He waited for the reply.

As the artillery bombardment began, Captain Lewis Henfield went searching for the Ottoman officer in charge, Commander Alia. He found him, as expected, at the Second Dragoon Corps CP.

"Commander," he began, "I have a request. It has long been my dream to take up arms in the fight for justice, and never before have I had such an opportunity. If you will let me, I would be honored to fight alongside your men, sir." He waited for the reply.
"Well, Captain..I belive we can do that. I will assign you to the first wave of troops that are going to attack the city." reply Commander Alia, he was reading the his battle reports.

A jetliner touched down in Kiev International Airport. On it was one sole AIA spy, Dmitri Korolev. Although not showing any nervousness, Korolev felt as if he was sick. This was ludicrous, damn those bureaucrats that sent him on this mission. He and many others in the Aztec spy community felt they had no right to do this, but, he had no choice – he knew Premier Quetzalcoatl and Vice Premier Coyotepec were not the ones to blame. Of course, if Korolev never joined the AIA in the first place all those years ago and the ISD before the ANL was formed, then he wouldn’t be in this situation. The plane rolled to a halt and the passengers stood up and began to disembark. Korolev made his way to the aisle and walked down the center. Sighing, he looked out into the blue Ukrainian sky and could help but feel for these people. If he were successful, he would make their lives and the lives of all the others in the Ottoman Empire sheer hell.

He ducked as he exited the plan and walked down the stairwell of the plane. He then proceeded to the main building in the airport and sat at a bench and began to read a file from his briefcase. It was nothing incriminating, no AIA labels, and no secret information, just information about the Empire.

Miguel Herrera read from a file, reviewing the mission objectives and other information. Nothing to major. He had finally started getting over his anger about being pulled from retirement. Hell, he knew he would get a commendation for it, anyway. As he looked over the Al-Andalus land from the window, he couldn’t help but think about the potential for trouble. As an old veteran in the AIA, he knew the Ottoman Empire was famous for it’s ability to sniff out spies and snuff them. The potential for death was high, but, well, as the AIA policy put it, “It’s an occupation hazard.” He felt the plane preparing to land and then knew there was absolutely no way back. He leaned over and got the attention of Sergio and Jasmine and said in an low but affirmative voice, “Remember, you’re supposed to be newlyweds, it’s you’re cover.”

Jasmine looked at Miguel and asked, “Well, what’s yours?”

Miguel laughed and said, “Well, I’m just a retiree on an trip who happens to be your friend.”

“Great…”

The plane abruptly jolted as it landed and slowed down. Within a couple of seconds, they were ready to get onto the terminal.

Miguel said to them before getting off, “Remember, AIA’s policy of truth is in full effect, only tell what you can and lie when you have to lie.”

“Yes, we know. You didn’t have to state the obvious.” They both said, somewhat sarcastically.

They disembarked and walked into the terminal, eventually finding their way out and getting an taxi cab, taking them to their hotel.

Well over four hours pass, the artillery cease firing at their target as planned… they got word that the Ottoman Dragoon First Corp as began its attack north of the city, it was time for the Second Corp to began her own attack. The troops were readily for war.
Commander Ramiz Alia walk up to Captain Lewis Henfield and said the following “ Good Captain, your group is about to go in city, good hunting offical!” then the Commander saluted

In Captain Lewis Henfield assign group there was about 40 men in the team, They were from the following areas of the empire, 10 were Serbs, 10 Russians,10 Romanians,10 Albanians, 4 Greeks, 2 Turks, and 2 Arabs, He was walk to his men, he was them arm up with RPGs and XM8 Lightweight Assault Rifles, all them spoke Arabic and English. They waited for 2 BMP-4(Troop transport) to them up, as they got in the transports one of them made a comment to the Captain..

At Kiev, Ottoman Russia-Ukraine
Kiev was one of the jewels of the Ottoman Empire, now to do the civil war. The City was left in ruins, there well over 100,000 loyalist troops station in the city alone to maintain order and crush remaining rebels forces in the area. Most of the main fighting in the area was at Rostov ,Donets’k, Kharkiv, Odessa, Sevastopol, L’viv and Kherson. During the times of Civil war, it was rare to see tourist in any area of the Ottoman Empire, if tourist came during this time of hardship, they were easily notice by everyone.

Two OI Agent were station at Airport, watching everything in a video room, which watch every aspect of the airport. They notice something that didn’t fit in the group. A old man, who passport said he was from ANL, it was very odd for anyone outside of the empire to come to Kiev at this time of war.

Al-Andalus, was one area less hit by the civil war, the Hawk Factions impacted only a few cities. Yet in Madrid, everything was peaceful for now, there was about 30,000 troops station in the city to prevent rebels from attacking the city. Yet in Al-Andalus, there was only the Hawk Factions, there was no communist faction in the region. If someone started asking about any communist faction in the area, people would get thinking something about these people is fishily…

Ottoman-Russia-Ukraine

Dmitri Korolev left the relative facade of protection in the airport and looked at what was originally the grand city of Kiev. His heart sank even lower. This was the unhappiest of tasks. Dmitri didn't want to cause these people even more suffering. All these years of being in the AIA and what used to be the ISD, he had been responsible for sabotages, even some deaths; yet, never had he felt sad for it. Quietly, he sad to himself, "It must be my conscience catching up to me."

He walked to the sidewalk and waited for a taxi, waiting to be picked up. In his mind, over and over again, he went over his cover. If he were to be caught, the AIA already has a cover in store; it had to jive up perfectly with his.

Meanwhile, Ottoman Al-Andalus

Sergio and Jasmine began to feel silence was their best tool at this point of time. At this point, they began to feel they were being too inquisitive...they were blowing their cover.

However, in the seat next to them, Miguel began to feel the AIA had messed up. The taxi driver seemed not to have any good information. That seemed unusual, if not alarming. With all his years in the AIA and ISD, he could tell when something wasn't right, and this felt uneasy, at best.

Finally, they stopped at their hotel and got out of the taxi. Quickly, they took out their baggage and checked in. Miguel Herrera went to his room while Sergio and Jasmine went to their own. Communication was going to be minimal, in case if the rooms were bugged. Although they had no reason to suspect it, it was be reasonable to assume.

The Ottoman Loyalist began moving thought the streets of Belgrade, all was quiet in the massive city… then all are well train ex Ottoman Troops who join the rebellion, began lay down RGP fire on the tanks and troop transports.. All at once the loyalist troop jump out of their transports They began laying cover fire for the troops who going into the building to clear them of rebel troops. As the battle began to many BMP lay heavily damage from the attack, yet the troops were still using them as cover from the gun fire. Captain Lewis Henfield group was lucky so far; RPGs did not hit them yet. The head commander for the group that Henfield was assign to was Captain Ali Pasha, a Turkish officer.

“Alright men, our goal to take that position in that office building over their, The Rebels are using it as key point to prevent our forces taking this part of the city.” Said Captain Ali

Ten troops in the group began laying the cover fire, as the troops began to make a run for the building, which right across the street ….

Henfield sprinted across the street toward the building. About halfway across, he dove and rolled behind a burnt out BMP on the street. He started shooting at the rebels, in order to cover his comrades' advance on the office building. Yes, he thought, this is what being a soldier truly is! He smiled unconciously as he continued to fire on the rebels. He then got up and ran the rest of the way to the office building. Once there, he took cover behind a stone bench, and continued to shoot at the rebel positions as more Ottoman troops came across.

Major Hannover walked around the Second Dragoon Corp, looking for Henfield. Where the hell has he gotten to now?

40 more troops join Captain Ali forces, Captain sign for his men to began to storm the building, 10 men into the first story and clear it out. About 4 loyalist troops were killed in the fight, more troop storm the building and attack it , they took the second story of the building. Then when Captain Ali got to third story of the building, they a saw a bomb that was about to go off within the next 10 seconds…it was to late for them, at lease 60 troops died in the building as the massive explosion when off. The remaining troops (about ten solders) who where in Henfield group, regroup behind a BMP, and one of them asked. Captain Henfield ”Sir, you are ranking officer what are our orders?”

At base Command

One of the Ottoman Officer saw Major Hannover walking around the camp. He decides to ask what was wrong.
“Sir, Are you looking for something?” ask the Ottoman Officer

"Alright, then," replied Henfield. "See that building down the street. We head for it, then use it as a strongpoint to advance further into the city center. From there, I suggest we find a place to hunker down and wait for reinforcements." With that, he led the men down the street.

Hannover nodded. "Yes, I'm looking for Captain Henfield. Have you seen him?"

The Communist faction leaders have meet in secretly with loyalist leadership, they have agree to lay down their arms and stop the rebellion. Throughout the northern provinces communist rebels have been laying down their arms to Loyalist forces, OI CORP is arresting many leaders of the communist faction, to prevent these rebellions from happening again. Thought Ottoman Russia-Ukraine rebels troop surrender to the loyalist officers and were sent by train to Ottoman Turkistan, where they will be held in till the Government can decide what could they do to them…

With the fall of the Northern rebellions, the civil war after three months is drawing to near end. All that is left of the rebellion is in the Southern Balkans and a small area of Ottoman Southeast Asia. God willing the Rebellion will crush for the good of the empire.

Alright this Writers notes on why the Communist factions give up
Well the Communist factions realize that it could no longer put with the war against the Loyalist forces, after a few meeting, they decided what was best for the Socialist Party of the Ottoman Empire. Was lay down their arms and turn over those high ranking party members to the Government to face their crimes… Now with the Communist out of the civil war, there is only the Hawk faction, who has lost most of their forces and what’s left of them is in Belgrade and Novi Sad, Ottoman Serbia where they are making their last stand against the Loyalist. Do to the heavy fighting of the loyalist, and their will to crush the rebellion, they near their goal of destroying the rebellion… Yet there is still a rebel fleet in Southeast Asia, Waiting to be destroy…

OOC: Many of you are wondering why I am rushing this civil war…well to answer it, I do not have the time to make this a long rp. So I am rushing some parts of the rp and not rushing some parts of the rp.

All over the city, all the rebels were surrendering to the loyalist forces, do to the fact that they gave hope to keep on fighting the war . Orders came from Commander Alia for Captain Henfield to return base camp. Yet around the captain troops were yell out” The Empire as crush the rebellion!” But something very dark about Commander Alia was going to come to light….

What was left of the Rebellion was a major fleet in the Southeast Asia, soon that will be destroy…

General Chang came to report about the readiness of the Manchu forces for the coming war… He enters the throne room of the Emperor and begins debriefing the emperor on his report.

Dmitri Korolev woke up to meet the brand new day of work. He looked out of his hotel window and accessed the damage of the city; quite terrible. Up until then, he had begun to feel better about his mission. He decided to get a move on with his day. After all, it would be a busy day.

Dressed up in warm clothing, Dmitri walked down to the elevator and waited for it to appear. When it did, he walked in and descended into the main lobby. Although AIA agents usually didn’t trust local newspapers as a credible source, several headlines caught the eye of the veteran agent:

Immediately, two waves of relief came over Dmitri. Not only was his mission canceled because of this event, he could now actually enjoy his time and look at the land where he once came from. In gladness, he closed the door of his room and plopped down on the bed and read the article. Although he was disappointed by the communist’s loss, he was glad his mission was over.

In Ottoman Al-Andalus:

“Who is it?” Asked Jasmine.

“It’s Miguel.”

Jasmine went over to the door and opened it. Miguel walked in, holding a newspaper. He looked at her and said to her, “Jasmine, it’s over. We have nothing to worry about.” Clearly, he was enthused about some news.

He leaned over and whispered, just incase the room was bugged.

“Ah, I see.” She opened up the newspaper and read the article. “So what does this mean?”

“Well, obviously, there is no pressure. I don’t know about you, but I want to head back home.”

Sergio walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. He was surprised to see Miguel there and asked, “Oh, how are you? What brought you over here?”

“I’m doing great…Read this.” With that, he gave the paper to Sergio.

The OI was not going to allow a few agents from ANL, run around their empire. Unchecked, it was time for the OI to go after everyone of them for the good of the empire…

At Al-Andalus,

The OI found out where the agent was staying at in the Madrid, now the OI was about take them in for questioning. Some would wonder how did the OI find out about the ANL ,well all these questions were going to be answer.. About 20 Ottomans troops supported Agent Hawk and K plan to capture these agents. Hawk and K went alone to the hotel room, four more soldiers where behind them as they made their move to the room. At the count of three, Hawk kick open the door with his draw out, He yell out

“Oh God no! Damn I wish I had those cyanide pills.” Miguel Herrera thought to himself. Instinctively, Miguel put up his arms and knew not to give any resistance. Immediately, he recalled his AIA training, the scenarios, and the guns pointed at his head…of course, those were all training missions; nothing compared to the situation he was faced with now. Slowly, he turned around and looked at the multitudes of guns trained on him.

Behind Miguel, Jasmine went into a state of shock. Although not screaming and having arms flailing, inside her mind reeled over the possibilities. She had heard of the horror stories one female AIA agent had to deal with in Mississippi and in the unincorporated areas of the ANL where there was a Mississippian backed coup. Terrible stories of torture and degradation. Of course, this was irrational, the AIA knows the Ottoman Empire is forbidden to do extreme things by cultural mandate, but still, the possibility was there, for one thing was certain, she will be arrested and probably never see her home again.

Sergio, still wrapped in a bath towel, also became nervous, much more so then Jasmine or Miguel. This was more then serious. How badly he wanted to say something to defend he, yet he thought any defense would be fired back at him. He wanted to fight his way out of it, but he had no weapons and was outnumbered. A scared anger burned in his mind, as he knew this could be it. Before they would take him in, he made one vow to himself – if they were going to “extract” information out of him, he would give them as much of a fight as he could.

Quietly, Miguel said, “All right, you arrest us, fine. But we are not spies, just visitors. However, we shall come with you willingly.”

Ottoman Russia-Ukraine

Dmitri stopped dead as he heard the demand from the agents. Clearly, he had no chance. Yet, despite the AKs pointing at him, Dmitri simply turned around, newspaper still bundled up under his arm, and offered his surrender. “May I ask the reason for this arrest and your proof that I committed a crime?”

At Commander Alia Base command tent. A encode message was sent to him, from Ottoman High Command. In the message, all loyalist commanders were order to kill all high-ranking rebel officials and officers by any means. After reading the message, Commander order his men to began rounding up all high ranking officers of the rebellion, to face their sentence for turning their backs on the empire.

About 20 mins later

10 high ranking hawk faction officer, were facing a wall. A firing squad was about to fire upon them. Commander Alia himself joins the squad, and gives the order to fire on the rebels. The gun fired killed all ten officers instantly.

Yet in the others area of the base, any rebel officer at the rank of Captain or higher, were being shot, hanged or behead. By loyalist officers, who wanted paid back for them rebelling against the empire. This was being repeated throughout the empire. A eye for a eye as most Ottoman officers would reply to why they are doing this backpay..

Henfield shouted happily along with the Ottoman soldiers when the heard the news that the war was over. The best part was, he'd been able to play a part in it. A small part, true, but he'd been there nonetheless. He was estactic. Major Hannover would probably be furious that he'd left without permission, but that was a small price to pay, wasn't it?

Royal Intelligence Agency, Vancouver
Henry Marx rushed into the Director's office. "Sir," we have a report from one of our officers in the Ottoman Khaif."

Director Jacobs looked up from his paperwork. "Hmm, do you mean the observers we sent?"

"Yes, sir. Captain Henfield. Lewis Henfield."

"Ah, yes, I remember. What's the good captain have to say?"

"He says that while he was in Belgrade fighting along with Ottoman troops, officers informed them they the war was over and that they had won. The Hawks are surrendering, and apparently some of the communists as well. There are still significant areas of rebel-held territory, though the OK government says most are of no importance."

"They're just worried about that fleet in South-east Asia..."

"Yes."

"Well, this is excellent news. I'll draft a report for the various Ministers as soon as I can -- wait, you said 'while Henfield was fighting,' didn't you?"

"Um, yes I did, sir."

"What the hell was he doing that for? He and Hannover had strict orders to not to take part in combat!"

"Well, evidently," Marx started, reading through the report, "He went without Hannover's permission. The Army won't be happy."

"Damn it. Well, it looks like I'm going to be making some phone calls for the next few hours. Have Rita cancel my appointments for the afternoon."

"Of course, sir."

Major Hannover frowned as he watched the bodies of the traitors slump forward after being shot. A little harsh, by some standards. Not by Malkyeri, though. Hannover wasn't frowning because the traitors were dying. No, he was just disappointed that resoectable soldiers of the Ottoman Khaif were having to do something as demoralizing as executing rebels.

At Al-Andalus

The OI agents drag the ANL agents and threw them into Black vans and dove back to regional headquarters. They pull in a room that was all black out, where there was only one light sauce. Which was not to bright, just barely enough to make out there two OI agents in the room. Each one of them was tired to chairs; they were search of anything that could aid them break out of the chairs.
“Now, we know your going to use your cover stories. Which were poorly thought out in my opinion…well you have two choices, one get killed. Or just let us the truth that you are spies and live. “Said Agent K

Then three more figure enter the room. Arm with shotguns, they pointed their weapon at each of the three agents heads.

“You have 10 seconds to think your answer, Starting now.” said Agent K

The Attack of the Shadow Fleet

50 miles (in the sea) away from the Rebel Eight Flag fleet (In the South China Sea, Base in Kota Kinabalu), A fleet of 20 Typhoon-II SSBN began to surface their orders to finish off the last stronghold of the Rebellion, and end this civil war for good of the Empire. Luckily for the loyalist the rebel fleet unable to leave dock, do the fact they were unable to get the needed supplies to fuel the ships, because of the loyalist forces manger to destroy most of the supply deports, just preventing the rebels from using the fleet. Yet even with the civil war over, these rebels refuse to surrender and Government had enough of this…so they decide to bomb and destroy the entire fleet, to end the fleet for the good of the empire.

Within 20 minutes a wave of 100 B-52 bombers cover the skies overhead the base, they opened their hanger bays and let lose the dogs of war. Most of the ships in the massive base were unable to get out. Do to the fact that they out of fuel and the loyalist manger to destroy the fueling stations on the base, therefore the rebel fleet was a sitting duck for the loyalist forces. The Bombs destroy well over half the fleet of 50 ships. Then the typhoons class subs came in to finish the job on the remaining the ships. They fired the their cruise missiles at the ships, blowing them to bits. The last of the rebellion was crush with 120,000 rebel sailors dead. The navy was able to rebuild the Eight Flag Fleet with easy, do to the fact they had enough ships in moth balled to make up for the different. New teams began reporting of the attack, showing picture of burning hulls and floating bodies of dead sailors. The Civil war as finally declares over after this attack.

Although the gun looked real enough, the reality was regardless of what they said; they would never be able to go back to their homeland. Miguel Herrera spoke up first,

"I was an AIA agent, I've been retired for eight months now. That is no cover story, and, if you kill me, then you'll be killing a non-hostile citizen of the ANL. And them, well, they can speak for themselves."

Sergio then said, "I am a civilian employee for the ANL's Red Guard. I work in the Bureau of Investigations, which investigates domestic problems within the ANL military. I have no affiliations with the AIA or ISPA."

Jasmine then finished, "Me, I work with the Internal Security and Protection Agency. Particularly with nuclear power plant security. However, my job, like the ISPA, is entirely domestic."

Miguel said with ease "We are all agents, however, I'm retired, and their interests are wholly domestic."

Miguel thought in his head, 'All of that was true. Indeed, it wasn't what the agents told them to do. Miguel was indeed retired, Sergio was indeed part of the Bureau of Investigations in the Red Guard, and Jasmine used to work in the ISPA. However, they were all "drafted" into AIA service for the duration of that mission.' Regardless, they had told a truth of sorts, and if they die, they die. He began to wonder how Dmitri was doing.


Dmitri looked straight into the barrel of the shotgun. He was in his usual, calm, quiet and collected demeanor. Even on the inside, he was calm. Without raising his voice or getting hot tempered, Dmitri said, "If you feel like killing a pacifist college professor, then be my guest."

Agent K calls off his men and orders them to exit the room.

Jasmine looked around at the building. It was indeed rather cold - she would heed her hosts' adivce to keep the coat on. The temperature wasn't all that much lower than the ISPA HQ's. After reading the letter the Sultan was now worry, with the new of the gap between his forces and the Chinese was a big shock to his system.
