(continuation of “Operation Dragon Blaze”)
“So, what are their functions?” asked Bob.
“DRAGON BLAZE I IS STRONG AS A MAMOTH AND CAN RUN AT SPEEDS UP TO 100 MPH AT OPTIMUM EFFICIENCY! HIS REFLEXES ARE MOST LIKELY HIS BEST FEATURE SINCE HE CAN SPRING INSTANTLY WHEN HE SENSES DANGER, WHICH IS MADE EASIER WITH HIS BUILT IN RADAR SYSTEM! HE IS ALSO EXTREMLY AGILE AND ABLE TO USE ANY GUN YOU CAN GIVE HIM! HE IS ALSO EXTREMELY GOOD WITH A SWORD!”
“What about the girl?”
“ALTHOUGH I HAVEN’T FINISHED WITH BLAZE I’S FUNCTIONS, YES I’LL TELL YOU HERS! WELL, THEY ARE THE SAME AS BLAZE I’S, BUT WITH OTHER FUNCTIONS AS WELL! I NEVER FINISHED WITH BLAZE I’S FUNCTIONS, AND AS THERE ARE REALLY TO MUCH TO NAME FOR BOTH OF THEM, WE WILL LET THEM SURPRISE YOU ALONG THE WAY!”
“Fair enough. Are they operational?”
“YES YES! WHY DO YOU ASK?!”
“I would like to ask them a few things. They are still capable of human thought?”
“YES, ASK AWAY!”
Bob walked to the first Blaze and stared at him. The Blaze made eye contact. A good sign. “State your name and function.”
“Blaze I, code name ‘Chugo’. My function is to serve you Bob.” Chugo was immediately confused. How did he know to say that? I was never trained for that, he thought, was I? He would have to think on this later.
Bob then walked over to Blaze II. “State your name and function.”
“Blaze II, code name ‘Vengeance’. I serve you Bob.”
Chugo was confused once again. She seemed to have no trouble with saying it, mabey I was trained for it. Then again, wasn’t she a kill-aller? Mabey it’s a cultural thing. How did he end up in this tube anyway? All he remembered was something about becoming a better soldier.
“CHUGO, ARE YOU FEELING WELL?!”
Chugo? Is that my name?
“CHUGO?!”
“Yes sir, fine sir.”
“YOU SEEM TROUBLED! DON’T WORRY! IT WILL ALL BE MADE CLEAR IN TIME!”
“Yes sir!” Chugo stood and saluted.
“When can we have them in the field?” Asked Bob.
“ANY TIME YOU WANT!”
“Good. Show them to their quarters.”
Cozy, thought Chugo, I wonder if Vengence thinks the same? Doubtful. I don’t even think she has thoughts. True, Vengence has been silent as a corpse. Perhaps that’s because she’s a kill-aller? They always kind of freaked him out, at least, he thought so.
“YOU WILL STAY HERE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, USE THE CALL BUTTON ON THE WALL!”
“Yes sir.” Answered Chugo.
“VENGENCE, GOT IT!”
“Yes.”
“GOOD, HAVE A GOOD NIGHT THEN!”
Well, looks like I’m alone… pretty much. Thought Chugo. Vengence wasn’t much company. Well, better get some shut-eye.
