Here (http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?Farivanos) is a taste of the Tioszaean government.
Before the Reconstruction, Tioszaea was a friendly, normal nation. But inevitably, the 'Mainbrain', which is the collective conscious of all Tioszaean leaders, past and present, took over. The transformation that followed change the military into zealots that were so loyal to the Mainbrain, that they became little more than brainwashed warriors that feared nothing but failure to the Mainbrain. Of course, serving in the military is considered a high honor among Tioszaeans, and it is the dream of many people to one day join the elite ranks of the Feralmongers.
If the heiarchy could be compared, it would most likely resemble comunism in the way the the government controlled most everything. Free enterprise doesn't exist, but this causes little discomfort among the people, for they believe that the government knows what's best for them. Thus, they willingly dedicate themselves to whatever the Mainbrain requires of them. This system has lowered the crime rate to less than a fifth of what it was before. Education, though, has suffered for this change, as the more the citizens are educated, the more the will attempt to resist. This is the way Tioszaea works now.
Trade is not what it once was, but war materials are constantly needed, as the Mainbrain is as paranoid as it is improbably intelligent. Reinforced ships, vehicles, and aircraft runs high on the price list, as does firearms and explosives. The Feralmongers themselves have been genetically engineered to be considered armed and dangerous even with the possesion of a weapon, for they themselves are a weapon, as they are trained in combat with tooth and claw.
Social freedoms are high, as the government generally lets the citizens do what they want, which is ironically serving the government blindly. Political freedoms also run high, for it is the people who choose which mind of theirs is assimilated into the Mainbrain for future generations.
