OOC: I'm Losing My Touch....

Present Day Comatica

*Sigh* As much as I like NationStates, I'm afraid that I am losing my RP touch. I have not gotten any ideas for any Roleplay what so ever, yet when I do, it's usually crap and no one acknowleges it. I am posting less and less, and I am on NS less frequently. I am losing my NS touch, and I may leave.

Eventually, my nation will wither and die, and no one will remember that Present Day Comatica, and all that I did...*sigh*

Just thought you should know....

My presence isn't that well known, is it?

If you want to become better known, so really whacky and extravagant things, like kill people for not liking certain foods, or whatnot.

Or you could do what I did and go on a war rampage for a few months taking and killing everything in your path.

Don't leave, I enjoyed your RPs, always!

Alright, now since my butt-kissing is done, here is how I got active on NS agian:

Join an Earth and go imperialist. Try to claim a continent as a whole. Trust me, I am close to that (South America on Earth 3, just have one more nation in the way mainly).

Or, go FT, although I am both MT and FT, it is a great experiance to start from stratch as a new race with new techs.

*Sigh*, I barely have any RP skills, it any at all. My topics almost always die within 2 minutes, and some probably feel that I am one of the biggest noobs ever to hit NS. My most popular thread was a storefront, and the majority who bought were people with ony 1-10 posts, and typically had less than 10 million people. My first Earth died within a day, and its first RP had only three posts, and on top of that, the other guy hasn't responded in about two days. The first RP I ever took part in was in defense of Blacktower's "Dark Angel Industries", and a few weeks later, he disappered from the forums. I have a pitiful military, and I've only ever used it once. An organization someone passed on to me lost about 90% of its members within three days, and gained only two. The list of things can go on, and on...

So if you think that you have it bad, and want to leave because you're "losing your touch" please reconsider, because NS is filled with far more sad failures than you can't count in your lifetime. please, believe me, because your probably reading a post from one of them.

But in the end, I'm still here, because I still find some way to have fun here.

Note: Some of the above may have been exagerated...slighty... ;)

You're not losing your touch, you've just hit a rough patch. It'll come back, maybe sooner then you'd expect.

Everyone has down periods. You'll get past it soon enough. Besides, some of us (like me) have never found our touch in the first place. If you want, our two nations could have a war or something [shrugs].

*laughs evilly* I mean, sure, a war would be perfect to get my NS self-esteem back up. *looks from side to side*

Well, my terms for RPing would be the usual. I'd have to be the one defending. Preferably little or no allied involvement, otherwise it would get big and complicated and probably kind of ugly. And we don't want that.

No offense, RB, but I'd rather not see another of my strongest allies kill people for hating egg nog. ;)

Comatica, dude, you're one of the best I know for being an August nation. You can't quit - we're a team and always be. Beating down the ALM will only be half as fun if you're not around.

Sure, why not? I just want some RP involvement [/desperation]

That's why I wasn't quick to take to RB's idea. That may be well and good for one nation, but I like to keep my nation as a fair and benevolent nation, with a non-incriminating reputation as far as federal executions go.

And as for the ALM, the several RP's I (And we) did with him were when he was younger. Now, as one of the great new RPers, he's off to bigger and better things now. *sniff* They grow up so fast...

And quitting will be a last resort..and if this continues (My deadbeat ideas), then I will most likely threaten to leave in the future.

You just need a good enemy. Hell, if it's that desperate, betray an ally (probably best if pre-planned) and BAM, instant awesome RP. Hell, I'd read it and enjoy it too. So do that.

Now.

Or else.

Are you kidding? Comatica, you're the reason I'm a Pimp!I've seen your material and you willingness and it only adds to my excess. You're just having writer's block. Watch some Anime, that always works for me. Playing video games also helps.

I find when I'm getting close to what I think is a dry spell, there are storylines that can have evolve from an "ending point." You can always spin things off, do a heel turn or a face turn or do some character RPs.

Or you can do what GE suggested. Perhaps the person you plan things with will stoke some ideas that will get your creative juices flowing. GE's done that in our war thread and he and I have come up with many, many possibilities of where to take the postwar ramifications. Now I'm bursting with ideas.

Or he could not, since we're part of the anti-anime, anti-ALM coalition.

Or use something similar to the events in the day's headlines. That's usually fodder for a RP.

Well, I could always do another act of terror in your land, get htings going again. Anyway, I've hit a slow period myself, behind the scenes backroom dealings are nice, but I miss a good explosion now and then.

And Pacitalia, I was just a little confused by your statement, this is an IC rivalry, you know.

OOC: Hang in there man, times get hard for all of us. Lord knows my interest in NS has been steadily declining, but NationStates is like the mafia.....just when you think you're out, you get sucked right back in. ;)

Don't leave, it would suck to lose another familiar face around the forum.
