Dontgonearthere

Recently GLACORP scientists, in conjunction with DGNT military representatives compiled a list of updates required to bring the Dontgonearthere armed forces up to spec, one such update includes a new battleship to replace the aged and unreliable Millenia class battleship.
Most of DGNT's ship designs are quite old, but have shown themselves to be reliable in most circumstances, even against top-of-the-line new ships.
The Leviathan, first of its class.

The main aspect of the Leviathan class is adaptablility. Almost everything on the ship is modular. Weapons, crew compartments, and sensors. This means the ship can be changed on a conflict-to-conflict basis, outfitted to meet the current requirements, such as anti-fighter roles, anti-shipping, and fleet-support. An experimental model replaces the entire forward section with a solid ram, which proved quite effective against capitol ships and fortifications in simulations, but has yet to be tested in reality.
Another aspect unique to this ship (amougn DGNT's navy) is its ability to break itself into two to three seperate units, the forward, cargo and rear areas. The sections are fairly obvious in the above picture, the 'forward' area is the rounded section, the 'cargo' area is the boxy bit below it and the 'rear' area is the one in the back. It is believed that the cargo area will be seperated most often, since it doubles quite well as a troop-transport.
The Leviathan class' main role is as a battleship though, taking on other capitol ships in toe-to-toe slugmatches. This generaly means lots of large weapons, which the ship is quite well adapted for.
Present energy generation capabilities are well enough along that all of the ships weapon slots can be mounted with the highest-energy requirements weapons and maintain a full barrage on one side for two hours before power drops to dangerously low levels. Though this is generaly unwise.
The 'default' arrangment mounts a good deal more anti-fighter weapons than heavy guns, but is still capable of dealing with most classess of capitol ships.
