Buechoria

It was a cold day in Vogelsang. The Buechorian flag hung limply on the tall flagpole outside the parliament. “A drab scene, eh Schultz?” said Buechorian Premierminister Eric Rechnitz as he gazed out the window.
“Yes sir.” replied Kai Schultz, the minister of national economics who had just sat down in a leather chair in front of the premierminister’s desk. He watched Rechnitz slowly stroll over and sit down in his swivel chair and look at him a moment. “So, Kai, what’s the problem?” he asked as he toyed with a small ball that he found in a drawer,
“Well,” Kai began, “We have fallen into uhm… Economic recession.” Rechnitz stopped moving, the ball falling out his hand and hitting the carpeted floor with a light thud. “So, we’re broke, correct?” he responded with a cynical tone in his voice. “Not exactly, we’re just very low on funds. We’ll have to cut back on spending – we’re the nicest Socialist government the world has ever seen. We provide every possible thing for the common citizen. Frankly sir, I don’t think they need so much pampering. The same goes for the military.”
Rechnitz sighed and got up. He returned to his position in front of the window and said softly, “We’re holding an emergency meeting; get me all the ministers in my office as soon as possible.” Kai nodded quickly and dashed out of the room.
