Good Idea, Bad Idea: State Visit to Mississippi [Closed RP - JRV and DA]
John Garrison (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/JRV/chancellor.jpg) shifted in his seat aboard Government Flight JRVAW 2A VIC-MS. Though he hated these long flights, it was the destination that made him uneasy. He had never been to Mississippi before and would rather have remained in Random Kingdom a little longer. At least we know where we stand with them, he thought. His wife (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/JRV/firstlady.jpg) was seated next to him, quietly reading a book of some sort. Garrison had been squeamish about her accompanying him. These people, as far as he could determine, did not treat women like they did back home. It was an entirely different culture, an entirely different world. She had insisted on being by his side and she had been quite persuasive. The Czar and Czarina were supposedly somewhat more ‘down to earth’ in private and speaking to them in person was ‘a lot different’ compared to sending communiqués back and forth, he had been told. Yeah right. Of course it would be different. They can actually put guns to our heads. He sighed.
No. She will be all right, he reassured himself. Nothing bad could possibly happen; the entire delegation had been briefed on Mississippian customs prior to leaving JRV. They had been careful on who they had selected, all of the delegates were white and mostly conservative Christian. Only one other member was female, and she had been painstakingly handpicked.
Sophia was more than aware of where they were going. And yet she is so eager!? Garrison shook his head;I’ll never understand women.
He gazed around the flight deck. Seated directly across from him was Emile Cohen, the Minister of Interior -- he wasn’t a Jew (at least not now), but there was still the danger that his name may be found offensive. They prayed.
Next to Cohen was D. Clinton, Garrison’s personal aide. A conservative man in his late fifties, Clinton had kept himself occupied throughout the flight by reading over mountains of briefing papers and other documents he had piled onboard from his office. In front of Cohen was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and (Trade) Owen Ashley, a youngish man with fair hair. Next to him was Lieutenant Commander Georgina Tevli, an attractive leggy brunette. She was a special assistant to the Chancellor’s office and an officer in the Special Forces. Garrison hoped the barbarians wouldn’t cause her any harm, but she was with them for a reason and had been an eager volunteer…
Other government officials and staff were also travelling with them; all had been handpicked and rigorously prepared for this most important of state visits.
The security contingent was made up of six Diplomatic Protection Service (DPS) special agents, armed with MP5 submachine guns and Sig Sauer P229 pistols. These weapons would likely be confiscated up on their arrival in Mississippi but were a standard requirement despite this, further weapons were also stowed onboard for use in the event of an ‘emergency’. Not that there was much they could save them from anyway, Garrison thought. Indeed, their lives would be entirely in the hands of the Fabus family from this point -- he glanced out the window, they had just officially entered Mississippian airspace. “Well, here we go.”
Some ten minutes later, the JRVian Presidential-class Airliner (a modified Airbus 318) dropped gently towards the ground. The heavy bumps on the aircraft’s main gear soon followed, as they finally touched down at Stalingrade Estate. Mississippian Federal Airforce MiG-41s shot overhead having escorted them to the runway. The pilot, Captain Jameson, hated the idea of his aircraft being guided by those White Supremacist Bastards (WSB’s … as had become a common derogatory term back home), but he also knew better than to jeopardize their lives. Let’s just get this over with.
A distinctly foreign voice came over the airwaves giving them further instructions. Jameson and his co-pilot exchanged glances, their expressions said it all. Fuckers.
The aircraft was soon towed in to the designated hangar and a stairway vehicle was fixed up to the craft for the delegates to step out.
***
Chancellor of JRV John Garrison emerged from the main hatch, his beautyqueen wife beside him. At the bottom of the stairway stood two emotionless DPS special agents, each about six foot three in height and wearing gray suits, complete with their earpieces and tinted glasses. As anticipated, the authoritites had disarmed those with weapons.
Garrison took his wife’s hand and they began stepping down. She wore a long gray skirt, high heels, and short brown jacket over a tight black top. Her blonde hair flowing. Sophie was a tall and elegant woman, much adored by the JRVian people. Not so long ago she had been crowned Miss JRV, the most beautiful girl in the country.
“Darling, thankyou for allowing me come.” The couple kissed.
“Remember - ”
“The less said, the better. I know. Please stop worrying.” Sophia smiled and squeezed his hand. She couldn’t understand her husband’s uneasiness. “I’ll just stand there and look cute.”
That was what worried him.
Commander Gardner, head of the DPS unit and Garrison’s personal protection officer, followed closely behind with the rest of the delegation.

[tag] (will reply soon, really got to get an essay done, oh by the way, she shouldn't have worn a skirt, a dress would have been much better, but if the skirt is below the knee, she'll be fine)
OOC: Yeah. That is what's meant by 'long'. Added a link to her pic.

Ooc- Sorry for the delay in the reply, I've had some things going on (I'll explain in TG or IM)

Sixteen BMP-3s were waiting in formation near where the plane had come to a halt at. It was basically an entire mechanized infantry unit of the SRG, over one hundred infantrymen quickly disembarked their vehicles and fell into formation near where the stairs would be brought up so the Garrisons could get off the plane.
The soldiers weren't there for security, they were an SRG honor guard, being sent to welcome the Garrisons to Mississippi.
"It is a pleasure to be in your fair country." Chancellor Garrison saluted the honor guard. None of them had seen anything like this before.

One of the officers, a captain, returned the salute, as all the men snapped to attention and the band struck up the JRVian national anthem.
As the Garrisons were walking forward, the captain moved forward as well, so that he was now walking by the side of Mr. Garrison. His emotionless face slowly cracked into a wide smile as he said, "Welcome to Mississippi. I trust your flight was pleasant? If there is anything I can do for you, anything at all, just ask. Now if you'd please follow me, we'll be heading to the mansion right away."
Garrison nodded to the captain as they followed. "Yes, thankyou. Our flight was very pleasant."
"How far to the mansion?" Clinton asked, announcing his presence behind them.

27-01-2005, 07:11
The captain shook his head, pointing forward, "Not far, see, just up there..." The 1.2 million square foot mansion he had just pointed to, the imposing castle of the structure, was actually about three miles away.
But then he pointed to a fast approaching limousine, "But we will be there in no time..." he was quick to say.
They piled into the limousine. Garrison was seated next to his wife, with Clinton and Cohen across from them. The others would presumably be taken via another car.
"Nice weather," Cohen remarked as he glanced out of his window as the car began moving.
Chancellor Garrison nodded in agreement, "Indeed. Lovely weather you are having, captain. Does it ever rain?"
Decisive Action
27-01-2005, 16:35
The captain shuddered at the word, "rain", he had been one who suffered the loss of his estate in the Great Flood of 1998, when the Mississippi River rose 48 feet. His estate had later been replaced by money given to the nation by the Fabus Family (Mostly by Curtis). There had been 40,000,000 people made homeless, but Curtis paid for them all to have their houses rebuilt, with money from his own pocket.
After a few seconds pause, he nodded his head, saying only, "Yes... Lots..."
Garrison nodded, but did not say anything further. He had sensed his question might have caused emotion, but too late. Dumbass.
"So... captain... what is your name?" Sophia asked.

Garrison nodded, but did not say anything further. He had sensed his question might have caused emotion, but too late. Dumbass.
"So... captain... what is your name?" Sophia asked.
He shook his head, "No offense, but in my profession, we don't always like to be open about our identity, so I hope you understand my having to decline to tell you."
She smiled courteously. “I understand, captain.”

The limousine pulled up to the mansion, and the captain immediately stepped out and held the door for Mr. and Mrs. Garrison.
He whispered to Mr. Garrison, "You've a very lovely wife, and so well-mannered, you're a lucky man, sir. Well, just through that door, you two have a wonderful time here."
That said, he saluted them and then a doorman opened the door to the mansion for them.
Chancellor Garrison smiled and returned the salute. "Thankyou."
He took his wife’s hand and they made their way into the mansion.
"Nice place." Uttered Cohen. The Mississippians were personally too much for him. Their grand hospitality didn't make up for the fact that they were just a bunch of arrogant pricks. He smirked and nodded to the doorman. White trash.
He suddenly felt a hand grab him from behind. It was Georgina Tevli. Her grip of his arm tightened. "I am watching you, Cohen."

30-01-2005, 02:12
One of the Department of Thought Police scanners started going off, it was detecting an arrogant and smug thought of superiority in Cohen's mind. He was probably calling the Czar a redneck or something.
One of them immediately left the command post near the mansion and walked fast up towards Cohen, his eyes burning with hatred...
But, Roger was already inside the mansion, near the door where Mrs. and Mr. Garrison has just entered. He ushered them on inside and waved his hand dismissively at the fast approaching secret police. Garrison saw what was going on, and he noticed the secret police immediately turned and left.
Roger extended his hand to shake, first with Mr. Garrison, and then with Mrs. Garrison.
He smiled as he invited them to follow him to a nearby room and have a seat. As they were walking to the room, he made some light talk, "So tell me, how are you and the wife doing? Did you have a good flight in?"
"We are very well, thankyou. Our flight was long, but enjoyable. Some great scenery." The Chancellor said as they followed. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Czar."
He waited for Sophia to take a seat before sitting down beside her. The others were not far behind.
Decisive Action
30-01-2005, 02:37
Roger shook his head, not wanting them to call him "Czar", so he said, "No, no, please, call me Roger... I insist..."
After a few seconds, he spoke again, asking, "So, what exactly brings you to Mississippi?"
“OK, Roger.” He smiled. “You can call me John. What brings us to Mississippi? Well, we decided to make use of your wife's invitation, to try and improve on the relationship between our two - very different - countries. I've always wanted to see your country first hand, rather than just on television or in books.”
Sophia nodded in agreement.

30-01-2005, 02:53
Roger nodded his head, smiling slightly, "Yes, I see... Well, Alice should be around here somewhere, I think she's lying down and resting, you know how women can be when they're pregnant... Needing lots of rest and such..."
He waited for a seconds and then asked, "So, John, do you have any children?"
“No we don’t have any children as of yet.” He grinned to his wife. “But soon perhaps.”
Decisive Action
30-01-2005, 03:01
Roger covered up his mouth as he yawned, not from boredom, but more from exhaustion, he just didn't want to appear rude. He was quick to say something, "Ah yes, well best of luck in your attempts to have children... Hmmm, I must ask though, out of curiosity, what is the typical number of children the average woman in your nation has?"
“Uh…” Garrison glanced over to Cohen.
“About three.” The Interior Minister replied quickly. “Yes, three is the average.”
“What about here?” Sophia asked.
Decisive Action
30-01-2005, 03:12
Roger grinned, very pleased with his answer, "About twelve, at the least, and thirty at the most..."
Sophia nodded. She was impressed. “I don't think I could bear that many.”
John chuckled.

30-01-2005, 03:33
Roger stifled a slight laugh and instead stood up and walked to the door, excusing himself to go find Alice. As he left, he said, "Excuse me for just a few minutes, terribly sorry about this, but I really ought to have Alice here with me, for this discussion, yes?"
“Oh certainly.” John waved him on.
Decisive Action
30-01-2005, 03:53
About six minutes had gone by, still Roger wasn't back yet, he was looking for Alice, he wasn't quite sure where she was.
After about twenty minutes, Roger returned to the room the Garrison's were in, they immediately noticed Alice was by his side.
He quickly sat down on a couch, she sat right next him, leaning a bit on him.
He smiled as he explained, "The little lady was shooting... She's really taken to guns since she's been here..."
Alice stood up, curtsied, and then extended her hand to shake with John and then Sophia.
John and Sophia both rose to shake hands with Alice. The others quietly stood to bow respectfully.
"A truly great pleasure to meet you, Czarina." Sophia said, seating herself back down on the sofa.
The Chancellor smiled, "What type of firearm do you train with, ma'am?"
Decisive Action
30-01-2005, 06:42
Alice grinned as she said, "Well, I was using an MP-5 today, it's a great gun..."
The Garrisons chuckled.
"Ah. Sophia has a SIG-Sauer P226 at home. But you never really touch the thing do you honey?"
She smiled sweetly. "Oh, I can't stand guns."
Decisive Action
30-01-2005, 23:39
Alice smiled politely and said, "Ah, that's a shame, guns are really so great... I guess it's just you like them or you don't, no real medium, eh?"
"Yes, indeed." John nodded.
Sophia smiled at Alice. "I understand you are pregnant again? Congratulations. Looking foward?"
Decisive Action
31-01-2005, 09:07
Alice smiled and nodded her head, "Yes, twins this time.. That means in a while, Roger and I will have a total of three kids. Children really are a joy you know?"
Roger smiled as well, adding, "Yes, yes they are."
"Yes. I want to have children." She grinned at John. He leaned over to give his wife a gentle kiss on the cheek.
"So, Roger. How is Charles Hayden? I have not met with him in quite sometime." The Chancellor asked.
Decisive Action
31-01-2005, 09:30
Roger smiled, happy to answer, "Well, you know what, he and I just spoke a while ago, about Sevaris... He is doing great, are you two friends?"
He nodded. "We know each other quite well. I've visited Der Vaterland several times. Ah yes, the Sevaris incident..."
Decisive Action
31-01-2005, 09:35
Roger tried to stay calm, "Yes, it did greatly anger me that you seem to support Sevaris... But it is your right I guess..."
He patted Alice on the back as he said, "And to think, Alice here thought we should invade you and raze your land to the ground... She's reconsidered though..."
Alice smiled, nodding her head as she said, "Yes indeed, I think you two are such nice people, your country is probably a very nice place."
Garrison could almost have killed himself for bringing that one up, but it was inevitable.
“Yes. We would have stayed neutral though, I assure.” John said, forcing a smile.
“We think you are such lovely people too,” His wife quickly added. “And glad you did not invade us.” She chuckled.
The Chancellor somewhat less amused and still forcing a smile. He had come to power promising that the protection of JRV from foreign powers would be paramount. This didn’t mean so much maintaining a strong military force as it did maintaining good diplomacy and foreign policy. Especially when the Fabus Family was involved, he thought... "Yes. Neutral would have been our stance. I hope you did not see us leaning too closely towards Sevaris."
Decisive Action
01-02-2005, 03:24
Roger shook his head, "No, no, your position on the matter, we respect it entirely... And as for your nation, we have no real plans to invade, provided you don't attack us first or anything like that."
Alice smiled and said, "Ah, yes, of course, you're most welcome for our not invading you, but we never had any plans to do so... You see, we want to try to be a peaceful regime, at least foreign policy wise... Roger and I... We don't want to be as feared and hated as the previous government was, we want to be sort of the friendly neighborhood Fabusists."
John smiled easier. "We fully understand and respect that. Might I also say that you are good people yourselves."
Decisive Action
01-02-2005, 06:55
Roger smiled, as did Alice, both saying at the same time, "Yes you may..."
Then after that, Roger chuckled a bit and Alice giggled, then Roger gave her a quick kiss on the lips and said, "Ah, dear, wasn't that cute, we both said the same thing, hehehehe..."
Alice blushed, a bit embarrassed at his kissing her with others around, whispering, "Roger... We have company..."
Roger frowned, whispering back, "I know, but we'll be alone later..."
He then turned back to the Garrisons and smiled before saying, "Ah, so tell me, would you both like to get a non-aggression pact going?"
He was delighted at the Czar’s question and could not help but grin. “Most certainly.”
Decisive Action
01-02-2005, 07:18
Roger took out a paper and a quill pen and started to write in beautiful script. The title, centered on the page at the top, "Mutual Non-Aggression Pact of the Mississippian Federation and the Republic of JRV."
He started to write out the terms, asking Mr. Garrison each step of the way if he was okay with the terms.
One term read, "Neither power will sponsor paramilitary factions in the other's lands that are operating outside the laws of said power."
Another term read, "Neither power will interfere in the sea trade of the other power."
The Chancellor thought carefully about each term being read out, consulting with his officials before agreeing to them.
Cohen was quick to dismiss the term referring to 'paramilitary operations'.
"How about we change that to say neither power will sponsor any paramilitary factions operating in the other's land?" Owen Ashley suggested.
Garrison turned back to Roger for a response. "Sound good?"

01-02-2005, 15:18
Roger nodded his head and then turned to Alice, asking her, "What do you think, dear?"
Alice smiled and took the paper in her right hand, looking it over for a few seconds before setting it down on the table and making a few additions.
She then handed it back to Roger who eagerly read over her additions, smiling as he did so.
Garrison smiled and waited to see the final draft. He placed an arm gently around his wife’s shoulder and sat back comfortably on the couch. This trip was going well, extremely so. He had not expected to get a non-aggression pact this early.
Decisive Action
02-02-2005, 03:08
Roger snapped his fingers at a nearby servant who was quick to offer John a glass of brandy. Roger would have taken a glass as well, but Alice nagged him about drinking early in the day, drinking in front of company, heck, she nagged him about drinking all together, since he had a history of drinking problems amounting to what basically in other countries would be classed as "alcoholism".
John accepted the glass of brandy, though he usually didn’t drink during the day himself. He and Sophia would often drink wine in the evening.
"Ah thankyou. Tastes splendid. Will you not have a drink, Roger?"

02-02-2005, 03:52
Roger looked at his watch and then said, "Hmmm, almost time for lunch, would you all like to take a break for a bit and join us for lunch?"
"Certainly. That would be lovely," Sophia said smiling, before her husband could respond.
Decisive Action
02-02-2005, 04:17
Alice looked over to the Garrisons and then said, "Very well then, I'll go make sure the servants have lunch going so we don't have to wait too long... Perhaps, you, Sophia, would like to join me, so the men can talk business more relaxed?"
She looked at her husband who was smiling and then turned back to Alice. “Certainly.”
Decisive Action
02-02-2005, 04:38
Alice led Sophia out of the room and to the main kitchen, asking, "So, what would you like for lunch?"
In the room, Roger asked John, "So, do you want a cigar?"
He took out a silver cigar holder and removed one for himself, cutting it, placing it in his mouth and then lighting it. After he started to smoke it, he extended the holder towards John, saying, "Go on, take one..."
Sophia rose from the sofa. John stood up next to his wife and gave her a kiss.
As she walked off he sat back down, mesmerized for a few moments by the swaying of those sexy hips beneath the long skirt. He wasn’t used to not seeing her long legs; she generally wore slightly more revealing stuff. Their flight home would be very pleasant indeed though, he thought to himself, as he turned back to the Czar, smiling. “Ok, I’ll have one.”
Sophia followed Alice into the kitchen, admiring the magnificent home. “What do Mississippians have for lunch?”
Decisive Action
02-02-2005, 04:44
Roger lit John's cigar after he cut it for him. He tucked the lighter away and then said, "So, John, tell me, how is married life working for you? I personally love it, Alice is a great woman, and kids make it even better, you really ought to have some kids of your own, you know?"
Alice smiled and said to Sophia, "Well you see it varies, peasants, middle class, and nobles, all eat different things... Of course, you're with the highest noble family in the nation, so you'll be eating well... We really don't have a set lunch, so whatever you'd like to eat, we can arrange it."
"It’s great. We love each other very much so. She’s adorable." He chuckled. "I couldn’t imagine where I’d be without my dear wife."
John paused, smiling. He was lucky.
"Pheasant would be quite nice." Sophia said.
Decisive Action
02-02-2005, 07:58
Roger nodded his head, he knew exactly what John meant. He smiled before saying, "Yes, and without Alice, well... I really don't know, well I just wouldn't know anything... You know, I mean, without Alice, I really can't see myself anywhere meaningful, probably I'd have been killed off in some war, war was always my thing, you know what I mean... Something I fought because I had nothing else to do, nothing really to live for, so might as well go off to any war that comes along..."
Alice was quite happy with the choice Sophia made, she replied, "Yes, pheasant will be great, I'll see they get right on that."
"Yes. I look foward to having children too, Sophia does." He chuckled.
"You have a lovely home, Alice." Sophia finally said.
Decisive Action
03-02-2005, 00:51
Roger smiled a bit at that, "Well, I'm sure you and your wife will have wonderful children... I'm still looking forward to having a lot more children with Alice, we've got one here, two on the way, and we're not nearly done yet..." He grinned a bit as he finished the last part of his last sentence.
Alice blushed at the compliment, and replied in a very reserved and modest tone, not trying to play up the fact her home was likely much larger and nicer than the Garrisons, she knew they weren't nearly as wealthy as Roger and her were. She smiled before saying, "Oh, why thank you, that's so kind of you to say that." And she was quick to add, "I'm sure you have a lovely home as well..."
"Thankyou and best wishes to you both too."
He puffed on his cigar and chuckled lightly. "I've never smoked one of these before."
"Our official residence is Government House in Victoria. Some 70 rooms and well furbished. We own a lovely home in the south, though it is somewhat smaller." She smiled. “We have a holiday home on the East Coast as well, unfortunately we haven’t spent time there in quite a while..."
Decisive Action
03-02-2005, 06:38
Roger smiled as he continued to smoke his own cigar. After a few minutes he said, "So tell me, what's your daily routine like? I mean what is it like in JRV for you?"
Alice was impressed, she didn't think so many world leaders had such estates, theirs sounded almost as large as some of the vacation estates she and Roger had. Alice nodded her head and said, "Hmmm, perhaps we'll have to see it sometime, eh?"
"I'm usually woken at 5 am, catch the early news and read the paper over breakfast. By eight I’m meeting with senior officials and advisors, cabinet several times a week. I spend my day in and out of meetings and seeing to various engagements around Victoria and often the country. Oh, and who can forget the paper work?" He laughed. "Evenings I catch up with my wife for a few hours, I don't think we've ever missed dinner together. Thankfully the weekends are a lot freer, in which case it’s time with Sophia and often entertaining guests at Government House."
The first lady was delighted that Alice had expressed interest in visiting JRV. "Yes. That would be lovely." She smiled sweetly. "So how do you find it being the wife of a powerful world leader?"
Decisive Action
03-02-2005, 07:42
Roger nodded his head, "Yes, I often miss meals, Alice doesn't like that, but I have work to tend to, you know? For instance, once I was up for seventy-two hours straight, doing economic reviews that needed to be done right away."
Alice smiled, happy to answer such a question, "Hmmm, well, it's wonderful, but I'd love Roger even if he wasn't the Czar. You know, he's basically the only man who has ever been nice to me. And he tells me I'm the only woman who has ever shown interest in him that wasn't a sinner or just interested in sex, you know what I mean? Roger tells me he was always offered sex from loose women in his youth. I'm glad he turned it all down though."
She paused for a few seconds, realizing she was sort of going off on a tangent. After the pause, she continued, "You know though, it's really great, being Roger's wife, I wouldn't want to be anything else other than his wife and his Czarina."
She whispered to Sophia, "Just between you and I, Roger let's me make a lot of decisions in military matters, since he knows I am really interested to learn, and he is helping me get experience by added involvement in military matters..."
“Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.” Garrison continued to puff on the cigar. “Please tell me – what do you think of the Democratic Colonies?” He said finally after a few moments silence.
Sophia smiled. “Yes I know exactly what you mean. I feel the exact same way about John.” She sighed dreamily. “I also help him make decisions, he likes my input on a lot of issues.”
Decisive Action
04-02-2005, 01:49
Roger frowned and shuddered at the mention of the name, "Democratic Colonies", he shook his head before saying, "I'll be honest, I'm considering invading, for Alice's sake mostly. She's still enraged about what they did with the spy operations and such..."
Alice nodded her head, she agree with Sophia about what she was implying, "Yes, it's very nice to be trusted and given responsibility, isn't it?"
He felt his stomach turn at the mention of the word invasion. "Well JRV is a close ally to Democratic Colonies, though we can understand your feelings... we'd strongly urge you to reconsider invasion."
"Yes." She nodded.
Decisive Action
04-02-2005, 04:01
Roger sighed, "Yeah, I know you and DC are allies, but still, they ought to make some serious apologies, I mean make reparations, declassify documents so we can see all they know and think about us, you know what I mean? Hell, Alice was telling me just the other day, when she got done saying why I ought to join her church, about why I ought to invade DC..."
Alice looked at a nearby calendar with key events marked on it, she then turned back to Sophia, and said, "Say, what are you and John doing in July? Perhaps Roger and I could visit JRV if you'd be willing to have us as guests?"
John nodded, not sure exactly what to say. “What church does she belong to?” He said suddenly.
...
Sophia was overjoyed. “Oh certainly! We would love to have you.”
Decisive Action
04-02-2005, 14:06
Roger was quick to answer, "Oh, Alice, she's a member of the Reformed Church. I myself am Russian Orthodox."
Alice smiled, quite excited by the prospect of seeing JRV firsthand, but she was curious about one thing. After a quick pause, she asked, "So tell me, is it true that JRV is well..." she hesitated for a few seconds, "Well... You know, somewhat mixed in the racial composition of society?"
"Oh I see. Sophia is a Presbyterian; I’m a Catholic. Interesting combination eh?" He chuckled.
She paused for a moment, well aware of the differences between their two countries. "Well, yes..."
Decisive Action
04-02-2005, 14:19
Roger chuckled back a bit, "Yeah, interesting I'd say... Anyway, I'm probably going to join Alice's church, the preacher there, he's very passionate and moving... Besides, this Russian Orthodox church, it's a bit too liberal and too close to Roman Catholic, you know what I mean? All of our popes since 1984 have been jokes, it's just really crappy..."
Alice frowned, unsure what to say, so she just quickly smiled and said, "Well, we'll certainly be allowed a security detail, yes?"
John nodded lightly. "Yes. I know what you mean..."
Sophia smiled. "I should think so. Security would be tight and high priority."
Decisive Action
04-02-2005, 15:00
Roger yawned a bit, checked his watch, and then said, "Hmmm, maybe we ought to go see how the women are doing, eh?"
Alice was pleased at that statement, it made her anxiety and fear at the idea of visiting JRV subside somewhat. But she still would insist, "We would be able to bring at least a company or two of SRG with us, yes?"
"Indeed." He rose to follow Roger.
"Oh certainly." Sophia smiled. "We will make every effort to be as good hosts as you have been."
Decisive Action
05-02-2005, 12:08
Roger led John down to the first floor dinning room, where Alice and Sophia had since moved to, awaiting the pheasant to be brought in.
Roger walked over and gave Alice a kiss on the cheek, asking, "How are you, dear? Is the food coming?"
She nodded her head, replying, "Yes, it is, oh and I'm fine..."
Sophia rushed forward to greet her husband with open arms and the couple kissed.
"Wonderful news! Alice says her and Roger may visit us in July." She said ecstatically.
John was pleasantly surprised with what his wife had just told him. "That's marvelous." He grinned at her and then turned to Roger. "We shall look forward to having you."

Roger took a seat as he said, "Yes, I look forward to it as well... Please, take a seat, relax a bit, dinner will be soon."
John and Sophia sat down beside each other and waited for the meal to be brought out.
"Do you travel outside of the commonwealth often, Roger?" John asked.

Roger shook his head, "Not recently, since Alice and I were married, I've really not traveled much outside of our territories, for safety reasons... She doesn't want me to be in danger, you know?"
Alice blushed and said, "Well, Roger, you know, I worry about you so, you know?"
Roger smiled at her, "Yeah, I know, and I'm glad you care so much."
Alice then turned to John, asking, "What about you and Sophia? Do you travel much?"
"Well we’ve never traveled outside of our region before. I know exactly what you mean." John said, the couple smiled at each other. He took her hand underneath the table and squeezed it.

Roger yawned a bit, covering his mouth as he looked at a nearby clock, he was wondering where the pheasant was, he was getting hungry.
After John mentioned that he'd never been outside of his region, Roger just had to offer, "So, perhaps you'd like to go on a vacation to Western Sahara or Mississippian Egypt someday? You could see all sorts of wonderful sights across our Commonwealth, eh?"
Oh certainly, that might be interesting. Eh darling?" He chuckled and turned to his wife.
"Only I wouldn't want to get sand in my hair." She smiled.

Alice nearly laughed, but instead it was a light giggle, as she said, "Oh now, Sophia, you must not have known, there is hardly any sand in Mississippian Egypt or Western Sahara, really just on the beaches..."
Roger interjected at that point, adding, "Yes, that is true, massive irrigation took care of all the deserts and the dunes, there are millions of farms now in our territories in Africa."
"Oh." She giggled slightly. "Forgive my ignorance."
John smiled and patted her on the back. To be fair, he didn't know too much about the Mississippian colonies either...

Roger nodded his head, saying, "Very good point, dear."

Roger nodded his head and pointed to the door, saying, "Yes, a servant shall take you to the communications room..."
A butler was standing by the door and said to John, "Follow me, sir."

OOC: Actually, forget that. It doesn't make sense. We'll confront Mississippi about the National Front funding when Roger and Alice are in JRV... Sorry for the hold up too, been extremely busy IRL. I'll delete that last post of mine.

Ooc- You already told me over MSN it was just a fake group, but oh well. I'm not worried, if anything happens to Roger and Alice, the one deemed to extreme/crazy by his father (George) likely takes over, and that probably means a nuclear holocaust.

The servant continued to show the way to the communications room, for John, leading him into the room and helping him make the call. He stood back to give him a degree of privacy to speak, it was all being monitored so it really didn't matter.
OOC: It's not fake, but I'll tell you about that later. And forget the communications room thing, that's what I was talking about :p

Roger covered his mouth before he yawned and then went back to eating, nearly finished now. He looked at his watch and then over to John, asking, "So, since we're nearly done here, what would you care to do next?"
John smiled. "Well, Sophia and I would be most interested in seeing more of your fair country. Admittedly we know very little about the geography - but from what I've seen, I must say it is a delight to be here."
His wife nodded in agreement. "Please show us around."

Roger nodded his head, looking uneasily back and forth across the room. He suddenly then asked, "I don't think I asked... You're not Catholic are you? I'm okay with it if you are, but I'm just asking for reasons of your safety..."
John and Sophia exchanged surprised glances.
"Yes. I am Catholic. Sophia is Presbyterian…"

Roger nodded his head at that, and was quick to say, "Well then, just stick close to me when we're in public, nobody would dare harm one of my guests, somebody who is here in this nation under my guarantee of safety."
Despite feeling his stomach turn, Chancellor Garrison forced a polite smile. "Why thankyou. And might I add, what a brilliant meal this has been." He took the last bite out of his dish.
"Yes, it was lovely, Alice." Sophia said.
John looked to the Czarina and grinned. "Do you cook, Alice?"

Alice smiled as she turned to face John to answer him, "Yes, I do cook..." she said.
Roger was quick to add, "And rather well, dear..."
He chuckled. "Nice. And yes, we have full confidence in our safety here."

Roger smiled at that remark, immediately replying, "Great, I'm glad that you do... And I'm confident that when Alice and I visit your nation later in the year, we'll be totally safe."
"Oh indeed. Security will be extremely tight and I assure you that all will be good. We've never had a foreign head of state assassinated whilst under our care... unless perhaps in the colonies, but the colonials are queer and we have little to do with them." John laughed lightly. Everywhere they went would have to be cleared of blacks and Asians, he made a mental note to himself. Security personnel and staff who didn’t meet the ‘requirements’ would have to be stationed elsewhere.

Roger nodded his head, smiling before suggesting, "If you're a bit nervous about your folks assuring our security, no offense, but I've detected from your tone that you might be... Well the SRG could handle security."
John smiled, but shook his head. "No. We can handle it. The Diplomatic Protection Service and Federal Police Department have extensive experience in this area. We had Czar Hayden visit last year, though his stay was brief and low-key. The media did not report on it." He cleared his throat. "You may bring up to 10 SRG. Though I must stress that any weapons may have to be confiscated."

Roger whispered something to Alice and Alice nodded her head. John probably couldn't hear it, but Roger had just told her, "Don't count on your going there, I'll go, but you're not going...Not both of us, with unarmed guards, no..."
Alice nodded her head again and then sat back down, smiling as she did so, suggesting, "Perhaps disarming the guards isn't a good idea, Mississippian men take it as an insult when their guns are taken. Indeed their wives would laugh at them if they knew they had allowed their guns to be confiscated."
Roger quickly interjected, saying, "Yes, you know that here a gun is seen as a sign you're a man, if you let it be taken, it's like you're no longer a man, or less than a man, and you have to have your gun back to regain your standing, you know what I mean?"
John maintained a forced smile. "Yes. I know. But my own security contingent had their weapons confiscated upon arrival in Mississippi. Does this not seem... erh, fair?"

Roger shook his head, replying politely, "To be quite honest, more people in JRV probably want me dead, than people in our nation want you dead, eh?"
"We come from very different nations, very different cultures. I support gay rights, I support abortion rights, my wife used to pose in swimwear for all to see, I have blacks in my government … I'm a Catholic, is that not enough reason for some Mississippians to perhaps want me dead?" He paused, wondering whether he had gone too far.

Roger chuckled, a bit amused, but still remaining polite, "My good sir, you're mistaken, my father is a Roman Catholics... Alice here has, how shall we say, posed for a well-known officer's magazine..."
He shook his head before continuing with, "The only things you'd have to worry about would be if you made public speeches here in support of abortion, or tried to get into a debate with the wrong guy over the topic..."
I think you're rather safe here, don't you feel safe?" He asked.
"Yes. I feel safe, and you will feel safe in JRV. We are more than happy for your security personnel to arrive ahead of time and oversee our security preparations." He sighed. "Perhaps, if you really felt it essential, then we could allow your men to retain their weapons. Though there'd be paperwork involved, and I'd ask that in future our own security contingent be allowed to remain armed whilst in your territories." John turned to Sophia and smiled, she smiled back weakly... appearing a little concerned.

Alice quietly sighed, a bit worried that Roger's hardline attitudes might cost them something in diplomatic opportunities. Granted she didn't want to be around them, but if it was a matter of diplomacy there might have to be exceptions.
"Ok. That can be arranged..." Sophia said before her husband could speak. John nodded.

OOC: Warning. The following post contains sex and reference to sex.
…
IC: "Oh, oh!" Sophia moaned and groaned with intense pleasure as the bed shook and the bedsprings squeaked. It was 2 am and they had been going at it for sometime, pleased to finally have this opportunity again. There was no real reason they’d selected this particular guestroom to stay in, there were so many to choose from and all practically identical.
They finally came to a halt. John collapsed next to his wife on top of the bed, both of them gasping for breath. For a husband some fourteen years older, Garrison was fairly good at pleasuring his wife. He kissed her on the cheek. "That was great."
"That was even better than last time." The first lady said, still panting.
John smiled. "I’ve been dying to 'service' you again since we got off that plane."
"Service me?" Sophia giggled.
"Yes…"
"Darling! I’m not a robot."
"You go like one." He grinned.
She threw her arms around him, burying her head into his chest. He began to stroke her beautiful blonde hair. "I love you." Garrison said softly.
"And I you."

Sophia arrived at the dinning table in a pair of blue jeans and a white top. John was skimming through a copy of a Mississippian newspaper; she bent down and the couple kissed passionately.
"What did you decide to order then, hun?" The Chancellor asked.
"Bacon and eggs." His wife replied, seating herself beside him.
"Ah good. The others are dining by themselves then?"
"Yes." She smirked and placed an arm around him. "We need some more time to ourselves." He began rubbing her back softly, gradually getting lower. "Jeans look so sexy on you."
Sophia blushed. "Pity I can’t wear a tank top."
John smiled. "You can wear anything you like in our room."
"I should have brought some sexier lingerie – oh!" She shrieked playfully as his hand squeezed her buttocks.
One of the servants suddenly arrived with their breakfast. The first lady blushed, hoping he had not caught too much.
"Thankyou." John said courteously. The man bowed before them and left. Garrison turned to his wife and smirked. "Well let’s eat."

“That was rather nice.” John said, pushing his empty plate aside. The servant returned to clear the dishes away.
His cellphone suddenly began to ring and he moved to answer it. “Roger! Yes everything is fine, thankyou. We’ve just had breakfast. Wonderful service I might add…”
