"This is...Never mind.I am the administrator of the Black Mesa Research Facility in New Mexico. We have run into some...Problems in one of our experiments, resulting in a resonance cascade.For those of you who do not know what it is...It's bad. It seems to have spawned a small army of monster-like creatures who have overrun the Anomalous Materials Laboratory, and killed all but three of the scientists there. DO NOT LET ANYTHING LEAVE NEW MEXICO. IT IS IMPERATIVE NOTHING LEAVES NEW MEXICO. We could be harbouring some kind of plague for all we know. Please send help to New Mexico. Don't try to find us, we'll find you."

The G-Man sat back in his chair, nervously biting his lip. He knew this could get bad. If Freeman hadn't locked the door on the anomalous materials lab they could have all been killed.
"Mr. Freeman, we owe all our lives to you. If you hadn't shut those...things in we would almost certainly be dead by now."
"No problem. But they'll get out eventually. Those things had worse than claws. They singed a hole in my HEV with some kind of beam."
"Ah.Go get that patched up. If things go as badly as they could, we'll need all the suits we can get."
