Praetonia

"Where are we?" the young Lieutenant in command of the PWS Gregorian, a supply ship carrying several thousand anti-ship missiles.
"Not a clue, sir," an Ensign replied in answer to the Lieutenant's rhetorical question. The Lieutenant looked at the man briefly, but said nothing. He was too tired.
"Well at least we have satellite communication... for all the good it does us."
"We should have GPS back online in a few days, sir," said the Ensign cheerfully, "That's got to be some consolation."
For the past month they had been using outdated maps charting territory everyone on board strongly suspected they had passed through some days ago.
"Land sighted!" shouted someone outside, "Land! Land! We're saved!"
"That's enough, Midshipman," said the Lieutenant, getting up from his seat. He rubbed away some of the condensation which had formed on the windows at the fore of the ship, and pushed his binoculars to his face. He saw it fainly. Land. Green and grassy. 'Praetonia?' he thought skeptically, 'Sarzonia?' he continued with his wishful thinking.
-------------------------
Seven days later, the ship had come alongside the island, landed and, when the GPS system was back online, they radioed back the co-ordinates to Praetonia. Colonists flooded in. Any oppurtunity to expand the Empire was always jumped upon, and this seemed too good to be true. The first two ships landed marines and tanks, escorted by an entire Imperial Fleet of 60 ships. Later colonists came in massive transports along with millions of tonnes of building supplies and resources necessary for setting up the new colony.
