-Persepolis, Parthia
A crowd of 25,000 filled Ardeshir XI Stadium waving flags of Parthia and shouting in one massive chorus of voice, "Long live the Shah, Long live the Shah." Before them, execution and torture devices of every sort were laid out in preparation for another bloody execution of those who disagreed with the Shah's perfect rule. Before them, they could witness great iron gates opening and then giving way to flatbed trucks with cages full of people mounted in back. The condemned were those in favor of replacing monarchy with democracy. They desired the end to a 2000 year old tradition and a begining of a evil populist demagouge producing system. That is why, Shah Khosru had ordered the execution of 5,000 of the top members and their families, a total of 7,000 (5,000 dissidents plus 2000 family members considered implicated some way) people were sentinced to die before the cheering crowds over the next three days. The first group of 1000 were being driven around the stadium with a cheering crowd laughing as the trucks came to a stop near a central platform and next to it, a pole held 3 meters above the ground on wooden supports. In groups of 300, the people were divided up, with the final 100 being chained in a line and brought to a central platform, where a man sat with a scimitar and another with a cauterizing iron. The first group of 300 were each tied around the neck with a bit of rope and then it was thrown over the pole and tied there. They were each placed upon a barrel and then, when the Shah gave a prearranged signal, the barrels were kicked out from under them and the 300 men, women and children writhed in the air as they were slowly suffocated. The crowds erupted into cheers as the peoples' movements came to an end and their lifeless corpses were cut down and loaded onto carts. Following them, the next two groups were set up on the gallows and hanged in a similar manner with the crowd's cheers getting louder and louder. Then, the most brutal portion came, as the prisoners were brought onto the platform where ten recieving blocks had been set up. Each one had a headsman and a cauterizer in attendance and the show was going to be very brutal. The first man was set upon the block and then, with a swift cut of the sword, decapitated the man at the ankles and then at the wrists before a cauterizer moved in to stop the bleeding. Only after several minutes of agony did the headsman remove the man's head. As executions continued, blood poured from the stage onto the grass below. The black clothes of the headsmen were stained red with blood. The crowds cheered wildly, for the next excutions would be far more entertaining, and brutal.
