ooc: this is a RPin game me & my friends created about our school... since we have a seperation of classes, (i.e. Preps, Nerds, etc.) we made a game to poke around at it. So, I made a thread. this is an intro to the book we're making for the game... and it will be an intro to the thread too. enjoy.)

THE BEGINNING

Along time ago, in a middle school not so far away…

Once, in a time not so far back from now, there were 850 normal students, all striving towards excellence of scholastics. They were the elite of students and a perfect role model for all youth. The children were incredibly smart and each marking period a report card went home to the children all having an A+ average. The children were very strong and athletic as well as being intelligent, and the sports teams profited.

The students worked together like a machine, despite their racial and intellectual differences. And, they were proud of their achievements; as they had every right to be.

The children grew and matured. As they grew older and progressed through the grades, they felt a strange presence drift over the school, an abnormal entity. They felt like they were drifting apart from each other, as if their friendships were deteriorating. The Aura of love that was previously so abundant was slowly dying.

The students chose friendships with peers that shared the same likes and interests as their own. They separated, and soon the aura of friendship was reversed. Although the effects of this happening were slow to occur, the outcomes were noticeable almost immediately. Rumors spread throughout the school of horrible things that other fellowships had done.

The rumors kindled the fire of hatred.

Fights broke out. Brawls and riots were a daily occurrence. Cliques turned into factions, and soon the once peaceful atmosphere of FMS was riddled with chaos.

The dogs of combat were aroused

The factions went to war. Armies were summoned and created. Arms were crafted. Alliances were formed, and broken. Great battles were fought. The factions paid for every inch of territory in blood.

Too many died in the great campaign.

Soon the factions became weary of war. They longed for the days when the sun shined peacefully on the flower-dusted glen. Instead, the meadow was dug out for trenches to be built, and was soon covered with suffering bodies and sprinkled with appendages. The blood that collected at the ground was many inches thick. There was a need for armistice.

The dogs of war negotiate

The agreement for peace was appealed by all, and thusly was quickly passed, and the fires of hatred were slowly extinguished. Racism and rumors were looked down upon, and slowly but noticeably the wounds caused by war were slowly starting to heal.

The sun began to shine

Soon children were playing in the peaceful field again. The mixed cultures and laughed because they had no cares or worries. They knew that war and suffering were only fictitious and would never affect them. They had high hopes for the new generation. They didn’t know that the blood of their forefathers watered the pretty yellow flowers that were so numerous.

And thus a new page was turned, and a new day was born.

Many peaceful years passed. Slowly, the same deadly presence was detected, and resulted into the separation of cliques. The cliques promised not to bring rumors outside of the fellowships as this was agreed upon in the armistice. But the cliques began to dislike each other for various reasons. The dislikes were minor, usually about brand of clothes, the way their hair fell, but nonetheless they were dislikes. And minor dislikes soon grew into major dislikes. The major dislikes evolved into extreme dislikes, resulting into minor quarrels between groups. The cliques moved away from each other and migrated to the territory gained in the great war. Rumors of hatred were spread from the elders to the youth. And soon alliances were formed…

And that’s where we leave you, in a period of unrest where we are on the brink of an inevitable war. What fellowship will you belong to? Who will ally you in battle? Will you be preemptive? Or will you wait until chaos breaks loose?

That my friend, is entirely up to you…
Post for what clique u want. then once all are taken we will start.

i don't know, i'm pretty tough but also pretty smart, so which one do i take(also take into consideration both of those terms are like some other language to me, i go to a private school)

im goign to bust out the six sided die and my level 12 caster spells :p

How about the SPED people? Special Education? That would be interesting to RP with.

football.... ah crap, and then comes the problem that i really really hate football. Can it include Basketball and Soccer players as well though? and maybe even a class paintball team! yipee!!!!

Wait...paintball team? Jocks go for Soccar, Football, anything rough. Paintball falls under Punks really (starts looking around innocently). Seriously, I have onyl seen oen QB on a PB field in my life so....and most of my friends (who are rockers, skaters, or someones) do the same as me, play it 24/7.

Still, how about the Sped idea?

Jocks are all sports players.

w/ the weapons... me & my friends actuilly play as we bring weapons into school... but at the most modern 9mm pistol w/ silencer. U can bring a like M-16... but u'd have to be a master RP'er to get it past school security.

i could probably smuggle an MP-5 into my school, but i wouldn't

maybe i could bring in an MP-5 or p-90, both of them are small and accurate, but with a large punch

can we start the thread now and when the preps join they can just jump onto the thread

also, prep weapons could include:
Knife stiletos
pom pom bombs
pom pom hidden knives
hair ribbon plastic explosives
hair ribbon - extra strong and able to be set to clear for triplines and chocking people

yes, that is my imagination at work, you should here me at school, with my threats of what i'm going to do to people... including ripping out, baking, feeding to dogs, and lots of other things to people organs...

Are they really that strickt in the US? In norway where I'm sitting, there's no problem bringing a rifle to school. I know, cuz' I did last year.

(it was for a film project. We had three MP5s, two rifles and a few pistols in the classroom. Softguns, naturally).

Please please please can I be the Borderlanders? (kids at my school who aren't really popular but aren't really outsiders are Borderlanders. I'm one of them and would really like to be in this. Plus I can use my real friend personas)

hmm, i'd probably be a borderlander in high school...

but as for now, my class is too small to have very many different classes

We have so many kids in our High School that we had to move the ninth grade back into Middle School. Though they are still counted as high schoolers.

i could also RP the teachers and staff, but i won't be on much during the weekdays so i probably couldnt...

Well, I am leaving too. I have posted my stats so....yeah. Interesting if you ask me.

Also, we could have this like a RL nation. Different sects (like Punks have Rockers, Surfers, and Skaters) could prove to have internal problems.

An other example could be Jocks. They could have Soccar Players, Football, Hockey, anything.

Would be interesting too. Form alliances in treehouses and in the back of the school you plot everyone's demise. This is a good RP idea. If you like, I could make a map of a school and give land plots for everyone. Very nice idea. Classroom by classroom, you shall all dominate.....


And still, what abou the Sped kids? I know a few people that would like to RP with them.

Start ur threads of wars and such... and u may need to give me a link to ur nation so i can tg u.

and Truitt... like i said b4... Goths and Punks are differant.

also, everyone post the link to your nation at teh bottom of the page, okay! we need to have EL send us who we hate and such, but can i start the home RP, like the base
IE- "It was a bright and sunny day at school, perfect for everything. although no one knew it..." people can RP against each other, but the yet to be chosen factions are just non-existent until they join, okay?

I have a great idea! lets just let all factions start out as neutral, and then we work up relations from their. Like if one faction helps another, they could become friends, and then backstab each other and become enemies

well how about this

in the beginning, all factions are neutral

ranking system is something like this, with extremes on each end:
-popular kids <top
-middling kids <neutral
-outcasts <bottom

now, the top and bottom always have stressed relations. They get in fights very easily
the tops are usually more freindly to each other, and the bottoms are the same
neutrals are in their own group and will usually do whatever they want to each other, no one messes with them, as they usually give indirect aid to both sides, and an attack on neutrals could result in a massive attack on the offending faction
the neutrals tend to stay out of fight unless one faction has obviously attacked them. At this point, they join in destroying teh offender

Well I control the Neutrals and that's how I was thinking of playing them as well. So yeah.

I like the idea of the rankings, but which groups go where? I mean, for some its really easy to tell where they go (such as jocks at the upper end, geeks at the lower), but I'd prefer a more clear-cut picture...

I'd say Preps drift between upper and neutral.

Upper, in as far as they're concerned, they're popular. Neutral, in that they really don't care about "outsiders".

My leaders are up under the other thread (the stats, etc. one); but there are a few we're waiting for.
