OOC: If you wish to participate in this BUT you don't have any land in Earth II, you have to be some sort of Third-party(I.E. Pirates, a corporation, mercenaries, revolutionaries, etc...) At least, that what Layarteb(long be his reign) says.

Carthage

The sun rose over the gleaming metropolis of Carthage at 6:00. The "White City", or so it was called, shone brightly in the sun-light. Although sections of the cities were damaged or even destroyed, most of the city still retained its splendor. Inside the Grand Citadel of Baal(although the Lightning Star is Muslim, the people are very strongly tied to their heritage), The young Emperor of 25, Hannibal VII, awoke. He then quickly put on his finest white suit, combed his hair, and then walked onto the balcony to survey the grand city. He constantly feared that, like only few months before, the city would revolt against him and he would meet the same un-timely end as his father. To his absolute horror, masses of people had appeared outside the Inner-city gates.

Tens of thousands of people, all of them wearing red, had amassed to protest the government. The Flags of The Peoples Republic of The Lightning Star, which hadn't flown for over 100 years, were raised by the protesters. "I...Ik...Ikbal!" he called to his manservent. "I want this protest crushed immediatly! Remember what happened last time there was a protest."
Ikbal, who had fought to Re-claim Carthage from the Seperatist Rebels 3 months ago during the Lilybaeum War, knew first-hand the horrors these protests could cause. After picking up his Radio and making a call, he quickly jumped onto a helicopter which was waiting on the roof, put on his helmet, and flew.

Outside the Inner-city gates

The Protestors yelled derogatory remarks at the Imperial Guards, who stood un-affected by the comments made towards them. For 6 hours they had endured the suffering, but now they had recieved a radio message. At around 6:10, they all pointed their rifles(or, in some cases, Gattling Guns or RPG-9's) towards the protesters. The protestors, thinking that this was just a bluff, continued to chant. At exactly 6:11, Imperial Guards opened fire on the protesters. From the gates came massive tanks which just ran people over. Helicopters strafed the crowd as Infantry surrounded and exterminated the protesters with extreme prejudice.

Mind if I join in later? Perhaps a little rebellion against the Cottish soldiers flying POWs home?

OOC: Sure, but this is basically going to be a Socialist revolution in my country.

Airspace between Greater Carthage and Sicily

The C-141B Starlifter cruised over the waves of the Mediterranian, holding a steady flightlevel of Angles 37 (37 000 feet). In addition to the crew of 4, 100 Carthagian POWs and 50 Cottish soldiers were aboard.

The soldiers were all armed with XM-8A2 Personal Defence Weapons, a shortened version of the trusty XM-8A1 assault rifle used by the Cottish military, and a Colt M1911 .45 sidearm. Their mission was to escort the POWs back to Carthage after their failed invasion of Sicily. Soon, they would be landing outside Carthage itself, and the prisoners would be offloaded. This was the last batch, and the soldiers and crew looked forward to a little R&R.

The prisoners, they were still prisoners, started to get exited when they were told that the plane was entering Carthaginian airspace. That was rewarded with a slap over the head from the soldiers, but it wasn't enough. Soon, the prisoners were being held calm only by gunpoint. If they didn't land soon, all hell would brake loose. This was relayed to the cockpit, who immediately radioed in to the airport.

C-141: We have to land. We don't have enough fuel. We'll just drop off the prisoners and get the hell out of there. The only other option is to drop the prisoners off the plane now. It's your call Haniball.

Hannibal Military Airport:"If I were in your situation, i'd go home and bring the people back. However, if you wish to land you have about 20 minutes to do so. Our outposts have detected a large crowd of un-known hostiles coming this way. If you try to leave when they reach here, you'll die."

C-141: Roger.

The Starlifter slowed to 160 knots and decended to 1000 feet. They would be on the ground within a minute. The tarmac came closer and closer. A slight thump, and the airplane's massive brakes started to do their magic. Once the plane stopped, the soldiers ushered the prisoners out of the plane, right into the hands of the waiting Lightning Starian soldiers. The plane was cleared within 6 minutes.

The Cottish transport plane needed to refuel, something that took 15 minutes at best. They didn't have enough time. The pilots therefor grabbed their weapons, locked down the plane, and ran with the 50 Cottish soldiers to find good defencive positions, while radioing for Cottish air support.

ooc: Tell me if you want me to send a few F-22s armed with bombs.

"We heard about what is happening in your country. We cannot commit any soldiers to assist in the quelling of this rebellion at the present time. Perhaps in the near future, we will be able to dedicate a small peacekeeping force. However, for the time being, our forces are tied-up in Europe.

But we are wiring to a bank account of your choosing $350 billion to aid your soldiers and people in this time of conflict.

OK. The Cottish soldiers survived, but the C-130 became a casualty of war...
