Borman Empire

OOC: This is a closed war between the Oblivions and me. I’m helping to teach him to RP and show him that I can beat him. If any one wants to tag or give him some help with his RP-ing your welcome to.

IC:
“Sire I have more news on the Oblivions conflict.”

Emperor Bhalk looked up from his work at the slave.

“What is it?”

“They persist with their insults. The Oblivions ruler continues to claim that they could take us with their eyes closed.”

“WHAT! THEY SAID WHAT!”

“They uh…they said that they could beat us with their eyes closed.”

“Sons of a...god damn…alright. Here’s what you do…”

Official Imperial Communiqué:

To: Whom it may concern in the Oblivions
From: Chancellor Licinius

Your pathetic disgusting excuse for a nation is becoming more troublesome. You continue to challenge us and claim that you are better. Well we would like to show you that you are not better. Our military is being mobilized as we speak and we will send as much as we can to colonize the pile of crap you called the Oblivions. This will be most painful unless our demands are met. We demand and WILL receive the following.

-25% of your nations land
-All of your colonies and foreign positions
-$20 Trillion dollars
-Half of all weapons and military vehicles in your nation
-$2.5 Trillion annually
-You will decrease your military to .2% of your population

If these demands are not met within 1 week you will face immediate annexation.

Ok now what? Should i do the same thing you did?

OOC: Well first I'm going to tell you what OOC and IC is. OOC is Out Of Character, use that when it is you, the RPer, not the nation speaking; like now. IC is In Character, that's for when your nation is speaking or you are RPing. If you are making an only IC post you dont need to write IC.

Now you have several options. I just made my demands for you and as I see it you can
-Meet the demands
-Tell me you aren't going to meet them
-Ignore it

You could also do a number of other things tied into that. You could ignore it and then launch ICBMs at me, but so you know, most of the international community frowns on nukes.

You could Say you will meet them, and then not meet them.

If you need more help TG me.

Also, I'm not sure if I told you, but you should read the stickies.

I will not meet the demands and will fight to the end.

Very well. Your blatant disregard of respect for your superiors and betters is what brought this. As of this moment we are at war.

Back at Borman the call went out, war was on. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers were already ready for war and more could be readied very quickly.

The industry mobilized for war as the last commercial goods rolled off the belts.

The following ships had left port and would arrive at the Oblivions in only a short time:
20xTrailBlazer class Cruiser
20xAttila class destroyer
20xJufedkg class AEGIS cruiser
20xVercetti class frigate
20xUpdated Iowa
20xBorman show aircraft carrier
600xAPG-14 transports

In the transports were 300,000 Imperial soldiers, almost half of them Dinosaurs, the elite.

OOC: Now you RP what your nation does, it’s somewhat like turn by turn.

OOC: You know, Oblivions, when doing IC messages it sometimes helps to conjure up a name and title, even if it's "John Doe, Grand Cheese Eater", and you could have him express outrage, as in - "We shall not accept these completely outrageous terms! We shall fight to the bitter end, and no less!" attendum from clerk "I have taken the liberty of neglecting the various obsceneties the Grand Cheese Eater spouted during his tantrum.

Back at The Oblivions, a call to all soilders that a crusade has been announced aganist the pagan filth called the Borman Empire. Inspired by the speach of our great leader Chancellor Ansem hundreds of thousands of ground troops are at the ready.

The Factory workers are being forced to triple the number of tanks and mech infantry they produce regularly.

The following tanks and ships have fortified the boarders awaiting the Borman's attack.

200xMech infantry
200xMobile SAM units
20xHelicopters w/ paratroopers
20xBunkers of Marines
20xAegis Battlecruisers
10xSumbmarines

3 satlilites are pointed at the Oblivion's major citys to prevent cruise missle's and ICBM strikes.

In each bunker 200,000 marines are stationed, 2/3 were bred from birth to kill, also know as elite class.

OOC: Since BE said we could help with the old RPing, I'm going to do what I do best and number nit pick (in a small but helpful way).

200,000 Marines in a bunker: Calm the numbers down say you've got X bunkers on your border manned by Y personnel apiece. Also try and describe your defences to Borman so he RP against it, like 'I have a triple belt high density minefield on my border, covered from protected positions by anti-tank guns and machine gun nests.' That sort of thing is good to help your opponent understand what he is RP against so he can incorporate into his posts.

Try not to do the 'Bred from Birth to Kill' thing, it isn't generally liked by the RPing community, try saying something like 'because of the high funding rate in [Insert name] Military, the troops were highly trained in Z type of Warfare.'

Again it helps tell your opponent about you with having to refer to factbooks or previous posts or causing needless OOC junk.

Now, I suggust you re-look at your military. Give it support troops, tanks, infantry, engineers, artillery, Medical etc.

Also, give a fair indication of the general units you will be using in your RP, since everybody uses different size units. E.g. My Legion is 50,000 troops and my Air Legion is 500 Combat Aircraft.

Just some helpful hints and tips...

OOC: Thanks Merchant Guilds

Expanding on a point of his, you should say how many soldiers are where. Otherwise it is easy for you to god-mode, which isn't good.
EX: "X men are at Y point on map with possible reinforcements of Z in A days."

Bad EX: "I have my men where Borman may attack." During battle you cna use nay number and say every soldier in your nation is where I'm attacking and you can say this many reinforcements have just arrived.

IC post soon.
