Alright. Who's interested in the following plotline? Leave comments, questions, and concerns.
The Shadow Society (a bit of a cliche, I know, but I'm using it anyways) is a super-secret super-spy organization bent on taking over the world. (We can't have something called 'The Shadow Society' not want to do something so dramatic, can we?).
Now, the RP is an idea based on Robert Ludlum's books The Acquitaine Progression and The Prometheus Deception. Basically, a group of high military, political, and business officials across the NS World are secretly banded together to slowly achieve one goal: World domination, without complete open war. They'll do so by secretly and carefully taking control of various parts of government, through terrorist acts, through exchanges of money, and other little plots. Heads of state, military generals and admirals, commanders-in-chief, Parliament/Congress/Council members, CEOs, intelligence agency officials, and others of the sort can be involved, with a lot of mindless little soldier drones at their disposal, of course. They don't differentiate between religions or government types. They are made up of people who are fanatically loyal to the cause and who crave power above all else.
Now, the Shadow Society will be ruled by something called the Circulate of Seven. It's a little council that controls the society; people whom others would never guess would get together for such a task. The founding member of the Society will be Lord Richard Gaius Zorag, a member of the Parliament of Imperial Risban and the owner of a very large corporation known as the Zorag Company.
The Shadow Society is, as stated above, is quite skilled at both espionage and diplomacy. Things won't stay hidden from it for long, and it always covers its tracks.
Mission: To gather power across the world and slowly gain control over various parts of national and international governments. They will slowly and covertly seize control of their nations. Then, when the time comes, mass terrorist attacks combined with the assasinations of world leaders will lead to mass chaos and the placing of troops to "protect the people of the world." These troops will be pawns of the generals and leaders of the Shadow Society, merely enforcing a new world order in which they will reign supreme with no opposition. (Well, of course there'll be opposition).
Now, this is just the basic idea. Not very advanced or completely explained as of yet; I just want to see who says what about it and who would be interested in being involved.
If you are interested in being involved, the before-mentioned types of people would be the best to put into this society. But, also, add in people who will be shocked to learn at the end that they were involved.
Now, if you are interested in joining later on, you may post some of who's involved, because you'll need to RP with those characters, but leave some nameless on the boards; you can tell others involved via TG or something.
Also, everything done will be in secret, without the knowledge of the rest of the world. These leaders will get together and form their large omnipresent society. However, later on and once things are put into motion, information will be slipped to several "good" people who will learn of what is going on and try to stop it. These people can't just go about shouting that such men are planning on conquering the world because people would think it both ridiculous and impossible.
The Society of Shadows has already begun practicing certain weapons and scenarios through terrorist attacks on the Empire of Risban and the Republic of Green Sun.
