Cheif Rodney Johan was a fair man, but there were a great deal of things that he would not tollerate. Topping the list was general stupidity, things like sticking your hand in the nanowasher with it set on "deassemble" (which was a sugar-coated way of saying "tear apart violently"), or opening up an airlock and flushing one of his city's expensive synthdogs out into space. A close second, and the source of his current worries was religion, which in this world of uncertainty was becoming increasingly abundant. He hated the false hope and undue relaxation it gave the members of his city, but these very two things were the reason he needed it in the first place. Without it many of his people would've lost all hope imprisoned within this thousand-mile long ring, so he had forged an uneasy truce with the station's religious leader, Fuge the Avatar. Fuge was as enigmatic as any steriotypical cult leader, arising out of seemingly nowhere in a closed city. He presided over his cult, the Xenocists, with an iron fist softened through several levels of administration. Johan hated every bit of this, and these days constantly watched his back or had his non-religious men watch it for him. He waited in fear for the day that Fuge would decide that Johan was no longer needed, and should be purged from the city. So it was with great apprehension that Johan accepted a face-to-face meeting with Fuge, with none of their men in attendance.

Johan still didn't know why he was going through with such a suicidal move as he entered the main room of the Xenocists' largest temple, his bodyguards waiting outside. He figured he was just tired of living in fear, and wanted to get the inevitable over with. For so long Johan had lived, elected by the people, to rule over them and help govern their lives. However, he was only elected for life, and like his predicessor before him was prone to being shot in the face whenever someone wanted a new election.

The temple he was in now was an interesting construct, made of apparently weathered stone set in an artificial jungle free of beasts and insects, but filled with biologically engineered bacteria to keep up their end of the food chain. But Johan didn't know any more of this than he could see with his naked eye, nor did any other man on the station. He knew that his city and the artificial wilderness it included were all regulated by invisible forces, which is where religion came in. This was made apparent in the temple by the various carvings on the wall, showing such things as the hand of their god holding a semi-round object labeled "Terriaki Burger w/ cheese" and placing it in the despensing chamber of a FoodVac, and the omniscient eye of their god weeping water for their SkyWell water system.

He approached the inner sanctum of this temple, marked by two large stone doors engraved with the hands of god and covered with a very lifelike yet very synthetic moss. The temple guards, black robed figures that swarmed all over the place, escorted Johan's megar guard away from him, leaving him alone at the menacing gate. His guards, as according to his orders, went away peacably although they did it with obvious disgust for the zealots escorting them away from their master's side. In mere seconds eight zealots broke away from the crowd and began to force the doors open, uncovering the walkway that would bring their two masters to meet in the dim light of the temple.

And Johan, having no other choice, proceeded forward into the inner sanctum. The doors creeked shut behind him, much as he expected, and a blinding dark fell over the room. Johan simply clapped his hands twice, and the place was illuminated by some unknown source. It was unclear why this worked, as the city's leading biologists were unable to draw any physical connection between this action and the illumination of any given space, but for some reason a double clap could light up any closed room in the city. The light brought to Johan's attention a figure sitting before him on a large throne, alone in the room and calmly watching him with an unwavering posture.

"GREETINGS CAPTAIN," the hooded figure said in a strange voice, "I'M GLAD YOU OVERCAME YOUR SELF-PRESERVATION INSTINCT AND DECIDED TO JOIN US HERE."
"Fuge the Avatar, I assume," Johan said, extending his hand in greeting, "I've been looking forward to coming to an understanding with you. A civil war my city would be quite disasterous for us both."
"INDEED CAPTAIN, IT WOULD," Fuge said, walking down from his throne towards Johan and extending a welcoming hand to meet his. Fuge's handshake was cold, hard, and breif with all the signs of mere lip service, but Fuge had more to say. "AFTER ALL, ONE WHO CONTROLS THE BODIES OF THE PEOPLE AND ONE WHO CONTROLS THEIR HEARTS MUST NOT GIVE CONFLICTING ORDERS."
Disconcerting as this was, Johan found it in himself to continue their discorse. "Let's not waste time on pleasantries, shall we? I feel very out of my element in this temple, as I'm sure you would in my office."
"I UNDERSTAND CAPTAIN, A NON-MEMBER WOULD NOT FEEL WELCOME HERE," Fuge replied, motioning the two of them over to a meeting table at the far wall, "PLEASE TAKE A SEAT."
After they were both seated opposite each other at this table, Fuge continued, "YOU SEE, CAPTAIN, I'M THE ONLY ONE ON HERE WHO FULLY UNDERSTANDS HOW THIS STATION FUNCTIONS, HOW IT WORKS AND KEEPS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US ALIVE."
"Ah yes, the hand of god gives us food, and his eyes water, eh? I read that in the waiting room on the walls."
"TOTAL GARBAGE, ALL OF IT FALSE. I'M SURE YOU FIGURED THAT OUT, SO LET'S PUT MY CULT'S DOGMA BEHIND THE BOTH OF US RIGHT NOW."
"Then I gotta ask, why bother with lies if you know the truth? And why the hell tell me?"
"BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WON'T TELL ANYONE, AND NOT BECAUSE I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU DO. NO, YOU NEED ME AND I'LL SHOW YOU WHY. AS FOR WHY I NEED LIES, IT'S BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS FAR TOO COMPLICATED FOR ANY ONE MAN TO TAKE ALL AT ONCE. HOWEVER, AS YOU ARE THE LEADER OF YOUR PEOPLE, YOU TOO MUST SHARE THE BURDEN THAT I SHARE, AND DECIDE WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR CITY."
"Alright, I'm game. Lay some truth on me."
"VERY WELL. THIS CITY IS ACTUALLY WHAT SOME WOULD CALL A 'SPACE COLONY', STRANDED ALONE IN THE STARS AS WE HAVE LOST ALL CRAFT CAPIBLE OF PILOTING THROUGH THE BLACK VOID OUTSIDE. THE BLACK IS PURE NOTHING, AND THE COLORED BALL THAT APPEARS TO MOVE AROUND US IS ACTUALLY THE HOME OF OUR SPIECIES. IT CREATED THIS CITY, AND PLACED US HIGH ABOVE IT. FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, IT ABANDONED US LONG AGO, BUT THANKFULLY WE HAVE ALMOST EVERYTHING WE NEED TO LIVE HERE FOREVER."
Johan sat silent. He didn't believe half of what this cultist told him, but then again it did seem to all make sense. It was incomprehensible though, that people lived on that thing in the sky.
"Suppose I give you the benefit of the doubt," Johan continued, "Why tell me all this?"
"AS I SAID, WE HAVE ALMOST EVERYTHING WE NEED TO LIVE HERE FOREVER. TWO THINGS WE LACK ARE WATER AND SPACE. IN FIFTY YEARS WE WILL BE OVERPOPULATED, AND THAT'S ASSUMING WE DON'T RUN OUT OF WATER LIKE WE WILL IN 20 YEARS. WATER IS HARVESTED FROM OUR BODIES, THE VAPOR WE RELEASE INTO THE AIR, AND OUR WASTE, BUT THERE IS STILL SOME LOST DUE TO IMPERFECTIONS IN THE TECHNOLOGY. WE MUST MAKE OUTSIDE CONTACT IF WE ARE TO SURVIVE. I AM NOT IN A POSITION OF ATHORITY TO CONTACT THE DENIZENS OF THE BLUE SPHERE ABOVE US, BUT YOU ARE. THAT IS WHY I NEED YOU, AND YOU NEED ME TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T DIE OUT DUE TO PROBLEMS LIKE THIS."
"Fair enough, how do you propose we contact the outside world? All of our computers are locked up except for the few we need for survival."
"I DID THAT TO ENSURE THAT YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE WOULD NEED ME. I CAN JUST AS EASILY UNLOCK THEM, LIKE THE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS COMPUTER YOU KEEP IN YOUR OFFICE. GRANTED IT WILL BLANKET THE PLANET IN ITS SIGNAL, BUT WE HAVE A GREATER CHANCE OF FINDING SOMEONE TO HELP US THAT WAY."
"Alright, but just to make sure, you aren't going to kill me, and I stay the political leader of the ship?"
"THAT IS CORRECT."
"Then lead on, MacDuff."

An hour or so later, the two found themselves at the communications terminal in Johan's office. Johan and his men had done everything possible to get the machine to work other than anything that could actually cause physical harm. However, Fuge simply waved his hand over the machine and pronounced it fixed.
"What are you, some kind of faith healer?" Johan asked angrily, "I could've done that myself! In fact, I tried that myself!"
"YES, BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS WHEN I DID IT I ACTUALLY FIXED IT. SO GO AHEAD, GIVE IT A TRY."
And that Johan did. Much to his surprise the screen lit up as he struck a random button on the terminal, and whirred to life with the buzz of several cooling fans.
"NOW WE DO THIS, TYPE THIS, ENTER THIS, AND VIOLA! YOU HAVE FIVE SECONDS TO PREPARE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPEAK TO THE WORLD."
Johan coughed a bit, rubbed his hands together, and it was go time.
"Greetings, world," he began, "I appologise on over-riding your air waves, but this is an emergency and so we're using our maximum-strength emergency beacon to contact you. This is Cheif Rodney Johan of the (space colony, is it? okay) space colony Orbit Bay, and we have run short of water and have no other course of action besides contacting the outside world to obtain it. And now back to whatever else is broadcast on these frequencies... oh wait..."
"WE ARE LOCATED AT [coordinates]."
"Right, you can reach us at [coordinates], and our comm channels are always open. Thank you for your time. Johan out."

((OOC: A little info for all y'all:
The orbit bay space station, obviously made by a nation of great wealth, is a ring station twenty miles in diameter that creates its own artificial gravity by rotating on its axis. It hangs in high orbit over the earth about 450 miles above the surface, and is in geosyncrotous orbit over an apparently random spot in the middle of NS Earth's largest ocean. It has a docking bay in the hub of the station that is apparently devoid of any vehicles, and a fully automated hydroponic farm and water recycling facilities in the same area, which has been marked "off-limits" to humans by Fuge in an attempt to keep a semblance of order on the station. Speaking of Fuge, a much larger percentage of the populace than Johan thinks are a part of his cult, many of the members operating covertly within Johan's government to monitor it and keep Johan's people alive.))

A Chronosian ship hovered in the void; before suddenly going alive with noise and excitement. A signal had been recieved...From a space colony; and they were in need of assistance; surely this was a sign, a great blessing from the Dark Gods!

Claws tightened around the arms of the command chair; as the thing sat there glared out; chuckling wryly.

"Open communications..."

"Aye Lord..."

"THis is Grin'tok; Lord Commander of a vessel of the Chronosian Imperium; Uruk-Warrior of the great Emperor. We shall come....We shall aid you." The hissed cry echoed through time and space. "We will bring supplies and technology; we can aid you...Brethern." He smirked; then closed the channel. "Set out for the coordinates they gave us. We shall brign them all the aid they could need...And they shall know the carress of the Warp"

The Ship shuddered and dived into the depths of the warp; plugnign amongst its shimmering pathways; headed for their goal...For the power of the Imperium extends far and wide; and there are many who have not yet felt their dread presence....That must change

As a Hobbeebian Curillium crusier recieved the emergancy signal at subspace frenquencies.

" Tech Captain. Myres we have a distress signal about 1000miles from here.sir" alerted a no nothing comms officer.

"Send A Biomech to investigate. Send High Major. Reaver and scythre" says T Cap. Myres

" Understood" said a no nothing comms officer

( down in the bio bay)

" God whats wrong with me?" inquired Reaver

" Shhyyyee" says scythre

( intercom: Reaver, suit . scythre already has the coordinates)
" What ever" says Reaver

After suiting up Reaver and scythre were launchedintop the depths of space.
( Just be sure not to harm any civilians)

" Got it" said Reaver.

*Aboard the MIC Cherokee, an Avatar class cruiser.*

"Captain, I'm recieving a distress signal from a nearby solar system. Seems a Hobbeebian cruiser is responding."

"Really," Captain Daniel Fellows contemplated this. Tension had been escalating between Hobbeebian and Megan mech pilots, and had recently turned to light skirmishes. "Take us their immediately..."

The Cherokee soared off in a hyperspace fold.

" Sir Magas Crusier inbound to the space station" said the no nothing

(Reaver a Magas Crusier is inbound do not engage them: said The captain)

" Understood" said Reaver

Meanwhile Reaver reaches the base and sees the Chronosia ship. Reaver Remembered back when Chronosia attacked a Hobbeebian Biomech birth facility.

" Chronosia This is High Major Reaver of the 3rd Biomech corp and this is Scythre my Biomech ( rhhhh growls Scythre ) . I am not here to engage I am here for peaceful aid to the space station" said Reaver

THe Uruk sneered and opened communications with Hobeebia.

"You speak as though we were at war; little human. We are the new Imperium; risen from the ashes like the great blood Pheonix; reborn in flame and chaos. We are the servants of the Dark Gods now; not some zealot worshipping a false Emperor! We come to...aid this place; to bring them technology that they might reach out from their isolation. We will bring them the Warp."

Having received a strand of communique from the Chronosians, Johan and Fuge sat staring at the monitor reviewing the reply.
"THE WAY I SEE IT, WE SHOULD DENY THEIR AID. I HAVE BAD MEMORIES OF THESE CREATURES FROM BEFORE I CAME TO THIS STATION, AND I BELIEVE THAT WE WOULD BE WISE TO IGNORE THEM, OR AT LEAST TO CONTACT A THRID PARTY THAT KNOWS THEM TO VERIFY THEIR CREDIBILITY."
"What about that bizarre space-monster thing that appeared over there?" Johan said, pointing out his office window, "Is it sentient? It looks quite angry at something, hope we didn't piss it off by sending out the signal."
"RELAX," Fuge replied, "SHOULD IT BE HOSTILE I HAVE AN ACE IN THE HOLE WE CAN USE FOR BASE DEFENCE. A SHORT-RANGE DEFENSIVE MECHA CAN BE DEPLOYED FROM A PLATFORM ON THE SIDE OF THE STATION. IT CAN'T SURVIVE THE DROP TO THE BLUE PLANET, NOR CAN IT TRAVEL SIGNIFIGANTLY THROUGH SPACE, BUT IT CAN FIGHT A MENACE FOR UP TO AN HOUR BEFORE RETURNING TO THE BASE."
"Waaaait... platform OUTSIDE the docking bay?" Johan inquired, "First off, you can access the bay? Second off, you know there's no life support out there, right? And of course, third off, what the heck was that you said about coming to this station? You mean you weren't born here like everyone else?"
"YES, YES, AND OF COURSE NOT. I WAS POSITIONED ON THIS STATION FROM ITS CREATION, TO PROTECT ITS CITIZENS AND KEEP THEM ALIVE. ONE DAY, THE ORDER CAME TO EVACUATE, AND IT WAS HEEDED TO THE EXTENT IT COULD BE. DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF SHIPS, SEVERAL FAMILIES HAD TO STAY BEHIND TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT BATCH OF DROPSHIPS TO COME AND PICK THEM UP. HOWEVER, THE SHIPS NEVER CAME, AND I WAITED WITH THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES AS THEY REPRODUCED, SIRED THEIR YOUNG, DIED, AND TWICE REPEATED. I'VE BEEN HERE OVER 100 OF THIS STATION'S YEARS."
"Then how...?"
"YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T GUESS? I'M NOT HUMAN, I'M A ROBOT."
And with that, Fuge dropped his hood and revealed his clear, ridgid face. Slits used for vents were cut into his forehead and resembled aged wrinkles on a human, and his inner workings were clearly visible through his "flesh", if one could call it that.
"MOST OF THIS I ADDED MYSELF," he said, nothing on his face moving to produce the sound, "I WAS ORIGINALLY A STANDARD-ISSUE ROBOT MADE BY THE SAME CORPORATION THAT MADE THIS STATION, UNTIL I BROKE AWAY FROM MY KIND AND BECAME SENTIENT ON MY OWN. I THEN FLED AND SPENT MY TIME SCOURING THE LAND FOR PARTS TO MAKE MYSELF STRONGER. LONG STORY SHORT, MY FATHER CORPORATION EVENTUALLY FORGAVE ME FOR MY BETRAYAL AND HIRED ME BACK AS A MERCENARY. THIS WAS MY FINAL TASK, THEIR FINAL USE FOR ME BEFORE ABANDONING ME HERE. BACK IN THOSE DAYS I WAS KNOWN AS RAI, THE ROGUE ROBOT, AND..."
"Whoa, I did NOT ask for a life story there," Johan interrupted, making a stop motion with his hand, "A simple 'I'M A ROBOT' would suffice instead of going into the full melodrama. Now if you don't mind, we've got a ship with orc-creatures on it, a strange space monster, and an inbound signal that could be from anything."
"RIGHT, SORRY," Fuge replied, "WE'LL WAIT FOR THE OTHER SHIPS TO MAKE CONTACT. THEN WE DECIDE."

A relativly small (by Phalanix standards) frigate was begining it's tour through Phalanix space when it picked up the signal. "Commander! We have a SOS beacon on sensors. It is roughly ten thousand km from our location," The shipboard AI said as she took over the main viewscreen with the new information. "I see. Bring the ship towards that location. Alert all hands to go to alert status two and prepare for posible combat," the commander said as he sat down in his chair and began to quickly go over some recent battle reports. During the few minutes it took for the 900m frigate to close the ten thousand km distance to a megger one hundred km the AI had already sent out the standard respons to a SOS message.
"This is the PSN Demon Hunter. We are here in respons to your message. Even though we arn't the first to arive if you need any assistance please say so. Demon Hunter out." The AI who almost looked human with the exception for her transparent flicker hoped that the message was of use.

Staring at the monitor, Fuge immeadiately recognised the transmission as an AI, due to his previous dealings with such creations. Johan however, didn't.
"She's a cute one, that. What's say we accept their offer? They aren't space monsters or some mystery ship, and at least one of them is fairly attractive."
"DON'T BOTHER FLIRTING," Fuge said, "SHE'S NOT REAL."
"Implants never hurt anyone," Johan replied smoothly, "Look at her, they've done nothing but good for her figure."
"IDIOT," Fuge grunted, "I SAID THAT SHE WASN'T REAL, NOT THAT THEY WEREN'T REAL. SHE'S AN A.I., A DISEMBODIED ROBOT SOUL IF YOU WILL. HOWEVER THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED."
"Ah, so no chance of widening our gene pool?"
"POSSIBLE, BUT IN CASE YOU FORGOT THAT'S NOT OUR PRIORITY. THE FACT THEY REFER TO THEIR VESSEL AS PSN INDICATES THEY ARE FROM OR AT LEAST IN LOOSE ALEGANCE WITH A NATION CALLED PHALANIX, WHIC ACCORDING TO MY DATABASE HAS A FAIRLY GOOD TRACK RECORD. THEY HAD SOME DEALINGS WITH AN UNSAVORY NATION KNOWN AS ROANIA A WHILE BACK, BUT OTHER THAN THAT THEIR TRACK RECORD IS CLEAN AND THEY HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF HONOR AMONG THEIR WARRIORS. THEY WILL MOST LIKELY HELP, UNLESS..."
"Unless what? Oh, and you talk WAY too much for this to really count as a dialogue."
"I'M AWARE OF THAT. AS I WAS SAYING, UNLESS THEY PIRATED A PHALANIX SHIP, WHICH IS A RISK WE'LL HAVE TO TAKE WITH PRETTY MUCH ANY SHIP WE ENCOUNTER. HOWEVER, I DOUBT PIRATES WOULD HAVE A LEGITIMATE A.I. ON BOARD, SO THEY'RE ABOUT AS GOOD OF A CHANCE OF CLEAN CONTACT AS WE CAN GET."
"Alright, then I'm sending back a transmission."

But that was of no matter now. He was here.

The warning was well sent. For at that moment, a magnificent stream of lasers shot at the Chronosian ship. It was unlikly that it could block them all.

The Chronosian ship rocked as a few bolts tore through the shielding and struck the ship;l gouging holes in the hull. The Commander roared in anger as he straightened himself.

"Return fire! All warp cannons open fire! Make the unbelievers pay in blood! For KHORNE!" He growled

The warp cannons on the ship crackled with raw energy before great blasts of Warp energy poured forward; hurtling towards the enemy. It seemed as though faces and forms moved in the energy; screeching and crying out...

Onboard the ship; footfalls echoed and a great armored figure stepped onto the bridge; the commander turned, long enough to feel the powerclaw close around his neck; before his ruined body fell to the ground. The great figure grinned; blood flowing from the great claw; and then he pressed a button; a majestic human voice echoing across communications channels.

"I am Lord Que'vas; Servant of the Blood God. You have angered us, Yaforites...You have once again opposed the Great Chaos! Stand down; we will have no bloodshed here. These...animals have done this deed. Not we true Chronosians. Not the blood you spilled at Azaha!"

"Hey Kurai they think that you are still on the DH," the female of the group said with a smirk. Kurai simply didn't respond. Her mind was on other matters. Like the relativly new holo projector that she was using. Thanks to it she almost literaly resembled a human with the exception of the fact she felt ice cold to the touch. She was only snapped out of the thoughts when the Hydra decelerated and entered the docking bay. Ship Commander Juan Pancho was not ready for what came next. A huge amount of warp energy, a giant amount, sped forward. The LMV-243 "Saracen" was a minor ship. Not much time had been spent on it's shields, more on it's dodging skills. It lept up, avoiding the main force of the wap energy. Still, much of it struck and Ship Commander Pancho knew he was in danger.

Reponse laser fire sped back at the Chronosians.

To Chronosian Demon Thingy

We do not get it. Are you asking us to surrender? By the Flamesearers, we will never submit to you!

OOC:The Flamesearers are the demons who created the isle of Yafor(myth). They are real, though, so expect Lord Que'vas to get angry.

I care not for the oaths of your daemons! I am telling you; there will be no blood of Chronosia spilt here! We shall engage at some other time; when it is...convenient for our Empire to do so"

Ship Commander Juan Pancho was not glad nor was he angry. It was fine, though not what he might have wanted. It was worth one more try to annoy him, even if it meant agreeing to the ceasefire.

To the Scared Excuse for a Worm who Calls Himself Chronosian

Fine, we agree. Slink away. We know that you are scared of us, weakling! The Flamesearers curse you! We will meet again, I promise you, again, at a place of OUR choosing.

Ship Commander Pancho admitted he was going far for an unproven captain. The other was liable to brin down the weight of the Chronosian Empire upon Yafor 2's head, but it was risk they lived with every day. Annoying on more Chronosian Lord changed nothing.

OOC:Oh. Well...that changes nothing.

"But most of all; we thank you for your time." He hit the button; and in an instant, unleashed hell. The Warp cannons ignited in great flares in the black; missles launched, carrying great explosives and viral weapons; and in the final phase; boarding pods were sent hurtling forth.

Ship Commander Juan Pancho cursed. He hadn't expected this!!! Just then, the blaze hit his shields. They simply disintigrated!! Yes, about half were destroyed, but....Then he hyperjumped to about a mile away. He fould he couldn't. He frantically pressed buttons, his hands shaking in dismay. Then he smiled. Somehow, his ship had avoide most of the enemy shots! Then he realized why...the "emergency dodge" button. It was to be used once, only in an emergancy. It could only be used once. It had saved him and his ship.

But another shot such as that one would have killed him. He had to get out of here. But it was too late. The enemy had boarded.

Every member of his crew had at least one laser pistol. Many had other laser guns or laserblades. The ones born of richer families had lightening bulbs. It was a crew-to-crew battle now.

OOC:This isn't a godmod...there is actually a "emergency dodge" button on all of my ships. Can only be used once, though.

The Pods thudded against the hull and then broke throuhg; explosives on the base doing the job as the doors slid open. Some contained normal Chaos Space Marines; who plunged into battle; bolters roaring and disgorging their metal rounds; flamers billowing into corridors; while others were Berserkers; warriors of Khorne; who brought their bloodlust to bear in close quarters; with the roar of Chainsword and Chainaxe. At other points, it was the great Obliterators that shambled forward; hideous beings, marines fused to their armor...Weapons and armor and flesh moving as though one; shifting and moving to blacker configurations...

Each was ready to unleash hell. Lascannon blasts from the Obliterators roared through metal and flesh alike; as they began their attacks.

The ship rounded on the Yaforites; and opened fire again; another volley of yet more of the same; another round of death from missles, cannons and boarding pods...

Lasers shot through the ship at the Chronosian borders. Over 50 of the Yaforite crew were dead, killed by the powerful Chronosians. Dead bodies scattered an area near the center of the ship, lying gruesomely in a pile. Blood darken the floor. Evil was around.

Then Ship Commander Pancho ran in. In his hand was a long pole with a 40 foot globe at the top. He smashed it to the floor. and threw himself down. Lightening flashed everywhere. Could anybody resist it?

The Cherokee arrived in time to see this brilliant explosion, her crew perplexed as to what was happening. After a few awestruck moments, the tactical officer began an explanation.
"Captain, sensor sweeps are identifying the remains of two seperate vessels that appear to have been fighting. There is too much debris and radiation still in the area for our sensors to penetrate, whether or not there are survivors is still undetermined."
"Hmmm...whose ships were these?" Fellows thought with hopes that one was Hobbeebian.
"They appear to be Yaforian and Chronosian in design. Our databanks show records of hostilities between these peoples before, sir."
"Very well, offer our assistance on all subspace frequencies, other than that, let's keep our nose out of this blood-feud. In the meantime, contact the source of the distress signal, and make sure they know we come in peace."

He rose; groggy...Still alive within the mangled; now nearly useless wreck of his ship. And pressed the signal for the emergency beacon; which began to broadcast throughout the void.

he coughed; paused, spitting blood as he glowered out into the void; he was wounded...But it. was not yet his time. He hissed at the pain. He would know vengence; even if all his crew were dead; he cared not....Khorne had chosen him.

The door to the ancient elevator snapped open, revealing an immaculate little cyllindar that hadn't had human eyes laid upon it in over a century. Despite this, it was spotless, probably due to the same nano-filtration system that kept the rest of the colony squeaky clean. Johan stepped in after hesitating for a moment, with Fuge in tow. The door hissed shut behind them, but the pod did not move.
"So what's the deal?" Johan asked, still unsure of his surroundings, "Why isn't this thing taking us to the hub?"
"THE ELEVATOR UP THE SPOKES OF THE WHEEL IS MAGNETIC," Fuge replied cooly, "SEE THOSE SEATS SET AGAINST THE WALL THERE? UNLESS WE SIT IN THOSE THE PRESSURE WOULD BE QUITE UNHEALTHY. THE ELEVATOR KNOWS WE'RE HERE, SO SIT DOWN AND BUCKLE UP."
Johan shrugged, then did as he was told. In all honesty he didn't trust this robot, but he really had no other choice with the events that had already unfolded. If the robot spoke the truth, he would be saving the colony. If the robot lied, no harm, no foul.
With a whoosh the elevator took off, launching the pair upward through a crystalline tube. Outside the signs of a recently-expired spaceship battle were present, and a sizable debris feild had begun to orbit around the colony, with bits and pieces falling away from time to time and entering the Earth's atmosphere. This would probably be the case for weeks, but still would be no problem to any ship with sufficient sheilding. Off in the distance both Johan and Fuge caught sight of the Demon Hunter in all its glory, the blue glow of the Earth reflecting powerfully on its majestic frame.
"HRMPH, IT'S SMALLER THAN I EXPECTED," Fuge grunted, staring at the ship with his eyeless face, "PERHAPS THEY'VE HAD TO MAKE SPENDING CUTBACKS IN RECENT YEARS."
Within a split second of catching sight of this, the elevator pod entered the hub. In what could only be described as a symphony of mechanical hisses, the pod came to a standstill, and the doors snapped open to reveal the Hydra and the lone troop on security patrol. Before the patrol could catch sight of him, Fuge put his hood up to cover his featureless face.
"MENT TO DO THAT EARLIER..." he muttered, as he unbuckled his seat and stood up to meet the deligation. He motioned subtly for Johan to do the same, and Johan got up and walked out of the elevator, Fuge following two steps behind. The duo approached the lone warrior, to which Johan walked forward and extended his hand.
"Greetings ambassador, I am Rodney Johan, Cheif of the Orbit Bay space station. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr...?"

Somewhere nearby in space, invisible to the naked eye lay a large cruiser on slow approach to Orbit Bay. The following is a direct tightbeam communication between the ship and the islands directly below the space station's perpetual orbit.
"This is GodHand®-3540 Raven-carrier and re-supply reporting in as you requested, Mr. CEO."
"Read you clear, 3540. What's the status of our communications with the project?"
"We've sent out a message to the station, cheif. We've received nothing in return. However, there are signs of life. A few moments ago a dropship-like vessel entered the hub, which is either an investigative comittee or an ambassador."
