A warm breeze wafted over a seemingly endless mass of rolling water. Suddenly, the tranquility was shattered as an a dark metallic object pierced the surface of the ocean. The smooth and rounded object grew larger and larger, and it appeared to have no end. After an indeterminate period of time passed, the other edge of the metallic vessel became visible. Symbols could be seen on the metallic surface, cold and logical in its arrangement.
The symbols read "SNV Kalos", identifying itself as a Sharina naval vessel to any knowledgable observer.
Chatter is heard throughout the massive vessel as thousands of intelligent souls held conversations, thought out loud, or were involved with massive machinery onboard. In the highest point of the vessel, several people could be seen conversing beyond the massive windows.
A medium built man, ordinary in every aspect, looked up from a console with flashing and moving symbols. He began speaking in an excited tone.
"Radar and LIDAR has detected a substantial landmass to our north. It is estimated to be several dozen kilometers away, and it appears to be quite fertile.
From initial scans, it appears the land is of a considerable size. The land seems to extend for hundreds of kilometers northwards, eastwards, and westwards.
This could present an incredible opprounity for colonization and new reserves of resources to exploit."
A tall man in a jade green uniform with golden trimmings nodded at the ordinary looking man, and smiled.
"Excellent, Sensor Officer Keviric Taza'nala.
I shall inform the President immediately. An expedition is guanatureed."

A large sandy beach was a bustle of activity, as thousands of men were scampering around it, carrying hundreds of different objects and tools. Several large structures are seen throughout the beach, in varying stages of construction.
One structure stood taller and wider than the rest, and extended several hundred meters into the ocean. Symbols were written across the structure, and the universal black, white, and red Sharina national symbol is emblazoned across the structure.
The language revealed the structure to be Sharina's very first dock on that new continent.
The colonization of the continent was well underway.
