The President of the Penpusher Confederacy, Henri Fenris, was shot and killed by a militant yesterday, after having given an address on his recent educational reforms. The nameless (sic) militant, a native of the newly annexed Nonke peninsula, said he was a member of a Nonkian militia which has been known to commit many acts prohibited by the Geneva Conventions and many other international laws. After having refused to give the whereabouts of his leaders, he was executed by a firing squad today in the morning. And to avoid making the execution make him look patriotic, the members of the squad were in civilian clothing, and neither of them had a blank round chambered in their rifles. Furthermore, the man was not blindfolded. Henri Fenris's body is currently being autopsied and ballistic reports are being made. The rifle used by the militant has been identified as a .303" Lee-Enfield No1 Mk3(*), a British-made rifle used during the First World War. President Fenris will recieve a state funeral next week. Foreign heads of state are invited to attend.
