Grays Hill’s eyes have been set on Turkey and Cyprus for a while now. And finally, the chance to obtain them and surfaced. Recently, Grays Hill’s neighbor, and owner of Turkey AND Cyprus, KommelianBerg, had just surrendered the lands and left Earth III. Grays Hill quickly pounced on this opportunity to obtain more land. Grays Hill has formally claimed both Turkey and Cyprus. Hopefully they would come peacefully. With the recent obtainment of Pakistan and Qatar, much death had come. Grays Hill wishes no more death to come by its sword at the moment, but if either nation fails to comply, then we will not think twice of using force to take either.

I'll RP cyprus, being 1/8 Greek/Cypriot myself. And the phrase to describe someone from Cyprus is Cypriot.

Cyprus, previously mainly Greek and Falcanian, as well as Turkish, technically the right to ruler came to King Falcon II. Today the public voted to pass the Land Division act.

THE LAND DIVISION ACT
The Land Division Act clearly states that the Cypriot people on the south side of the island do not wish to be part of Grays Hill. They decreed their allegiance to Falcania. The north Cypriot side, however, stated that they wished to join the Grays-Hillian empire, but also did not want the bloodshed of any south-side Cypriots. If any south Cypriot blood was spilled by Grays-Hillian forces, they back out of the empirical deal.

In summary:
South Cyprus wants to be ruled by Falcania
North Cyprus wants to be ruled by Grays-Hill, ON THE CONDITION that no south-Cypriot blood gets spilled. IF THIS CONDITION IS BREACHED then they have no will to submit to Grays-Hillian rule.

This division will not work. Grays Hill will have it all by peoples choice, or take it all by military Force. We do not wish to use our military, but should Cyprus not join the Empire peacefully, then it shall be used. We stress this fact, and give the people 24 hours to think on it and deliberate, then tell Grays Hill what they will do.

Well, he surrenderd his and his puppets claim's on Earth III. They were going to be claimed by someone else if not me, so would he declare war on them for claiming them? My imperialism is none of his business, now that he is gone from Earth III.

Such a military division in Cyprus works even now. I see no reason why it will not work for our purposes.

He looked up at his advisors with a sobering stare. "What do you think?"

"The Hillians are brutal, sir" one of them said, "We should spare our people the bloodshed, it is useless to resist them"

"Heresy!" An aged man in a highly-decorated military uniform interjected "The Hillians are facing too much outside pressure to effectively combat a well organized armed resistance, they're bluffing"

The first advisor began to speak again "And what if you're wrong, General? Thousands will die, we could easily avoid a pointless and costly war by accepting their offer"

"Execute this traitor!" He demanded "He's a puppet of the Hillians! How dare he underestimate the strength of our great nation!" He pounded her fist on the President's desk, his eyes shot daggers. "Sir, do not let these foreign pig-dogs defile our homeland" His voice clear and lucid.

The President stared at his desk for a long moment. "Someone get me a pen"

Communique to Hillian High Command

I, elected President of Turkey Sadi Lian, on behalf of the Turkish people, hereby reject your offer. We are a proud and independent nation, and will remain so. We will never bow to your imperialism.

President Usama al-Sahaf grasped the paper in his hand, then squeezed his fist, and crinkled the paper into a tiny ball. He looked at his Joint Chief of Staffs, and said, “You know what do to, and our attack plan is all too familiar. Lest we will use it once more, for a third and final time.”

With that the map of Turkey was pulled out. It was immediately split in half. The eastern half was to be the first target, and the first half of the country to fall. Everything east of the city of Kayseri was on the first mission objective list. 25 B-2 Stealth Bombers roared into the skies over Turkey. They were escorted by Stealth F-35 JSFs. 20 F-117s also tagged along to get in on the action. Their mission, to make Turkey, at least the eastern half, completely blind. Satellite imagery had pinpointed the location of radar stations around the country. Once they were blind, they wouldn’t know when and/or if an air strike was coming in.

The F-117s were to neutralize all radar facilities in the eastern half of Turkey. The B-2s were to take out any military target, with special emphasis on grounded planes. The F-35 JSFs were to take out any SAMs or any anti-air weapons, and tanks and buildings housing troops. This mission was critical in assuring the domination of Turkey, this is why all stealth planes were used.

While the aircraft were performing their mission over Turkey, The 52nd Mechanized Division surged across the border, gunning for the city of Van, located on the shores of Lake Van. The city of Van was located about 75 km across the border, so it was relatively close.

The central command room was in chaos, within the last hour every radar screen had gone black, and reports of mass panic in nearly every city were coming in.

"Sir!" A lieutenant said, addressing the General "We're blind, they've knocked out all radar across the country"

The General sighed and rubbed his forehead in thought, "I'll call the President..."

"Sir, this is pointless"

The city of Van was on the horizon for the 52nd Mechanized Division. They swept across the Turkish lands at breakneck speeds. Soon they had reached the city, and had met resistance. Intense fighting ensued for several hours. More support was needed. 6 AH-64 Apaches soon roared through the Turkish airspace towards the city of Van. Within minutes the 52nd Mechanized had air support from the Apaches. The Apaches soon were blasting their way around the city, taking out fighters here and there, making it ever more safer for the Grays Hillian troops.

Now the eye of fate had been set of two more cities, Hopa and Erzurum. The 47th Airborne was launching an airborne attack on Hopa. The 92nd Airborne headed for Erzurum. They were escorted by F-15s. The F-15s were to drop their payload on designated targets and any enemy compounds. Within two hours, it was raining troops over the two cities. They were firing as they landed, taking out enemies here and there, until it came down to street-to-street battles.

The 65th Armored Brigade had been ordered across the border to take the city of Sanli Urfa. The 6th Marine Infantry Brigade who was headed for the city of Diyarbakir followed them closely. The two cities were relatively close in proximity. It would be some time, about 24 hours, until they reached the cites. Intense fighting was certain, so air strikes were a prereqresite of any attack.

Once all four of these cities fall, Grays Hill will nearly completely control the ancient Tigris and Euphrates rivers. President Usama al-Sahaf was proud of the rapid and stunning success of these operations, though they were not yet complete.

Eastern Turkey had fallen with a thud. The President had made his decision, and was now prepping for the live broadcast. All of his cabinet had supported his decision to surrender to the Hillians, all excluding the Minister of War, who had stormed out of the office, raving of a military defection. Turkey's surrender would be unconditional, Lian knew the Hillians were brutal and he could not allow his people to suffer needlessly. Though Western Turkey was yet to be attacked, the President was confident that with this surrender those to the west would be spared the agony and humiliation of a military takeover, and pacify. He only hoped the Hillians would be so merciful. The President straightened his tie.

"Five seconds Mr. President" An aid said.

Lian cleared his throat.

"Good evening ladies and gentleman"

The world watched.

ooc: There's going to be some minor defections, nothing you'll have to seriously worry about of course, just trying for some realism here.

President Usama al-Sahaf was enjoying a full body message when the news came in. His top aid burst into the room and screamed it, "The Turkish have surrendered! The Turkish have surrendered!"

With this al-Sahaf quickly jumped to his feet. But his towel fell. He quickly snatched it as the aid turned his head. "Sorry about that." he muttered. "Now, prepair a speach for me to announce the news publicly. I'm going to get dressed. And quickly get troops into all of the nation. I dont want any resistance parties to gain too much power before we stamp them out." Then the aid replied, "Yes, sir!" He then rushed out of the room and called the Joint Chief's of Staff to give him the president's orders of the troops.

"Ladies, and gentlemen, it is my duty, privalege, and honor to announce to you, that our target, Turkey, has surrendered. This came after a quick military campaign grabbed much of the eastern region of the nation. They didnt want to see the destruction reach their ancient cities further to the west.

"With this victory, comes trouble. As in all cases of take overs, ther are resistance fighters across the nation. But they will be hunted down and captured. We will show the world our might and determination. They will come to fear that of "The Oil King." But this new campaign to hunt them down will be swift, stern, and effective. Thank you, and hats off to our forces that proved to be excellent."

With that the president turned and walked off. Troops, tanks, and humvees have been airlifted to all parts of Turkey to secure it, and to quell the rebellion.

The general hadn't expected such a swift transfer of power in eastern Turkey. he sighed, it's hopeless. The rebellion seemed futile now, the lines of communication between the scattered rebel forces had been dismantled before any order could be given. The resistance was unorganized, unpopular, and generally lacked any advantage that historically would have been allotted to them. There were a few sporadic firefights in some of the major cities, but it seemed Grays Hill had little trouble with them. He gazed out at the city one final time, It was always beautiful at this time of the year, and closing his eyes he pulled the trigger. Several seconds later the guards burst through the door to find their leader hunched over his desk, a sizeable piece of his skull missing.

ooc: The resistance is pretty much over at this point, excluding erratic and innefective skirmishes. Turkey is yours.
