OOC: I am possibly moving toward FT but not anything too outrageous. This RP is going to set up for new weaponry. I'm not sure if i am going to move toward a Star Trek setting or a HALO setting. OOC recommendations are welcome

Secret IC:
**Office of the Minister of Space Exploration**
The MinistersSecretary stands in front of the ministers desk as he looks through some paperwork and then stops at the memo about a lauch that will occur, "What is the countdown on that launch?"

"They set the launch time for 5:30pm sir. So there is T Minus 20 minutes remaining. The craft is to have parts for the new spacestation."

"Excellent." He says as he gets up and looks out the window at a launch pad off in the distance. "I want a direct link made to mission control so i can hear exactly what is going on throughout the mission. Can you get me that within the next 5 minutes?"

"Yes i can. I'll call downstairs and have them run up a communication box right away."

"Good."

The secretary walks out to his office, presumably to call for the Comm box. The Minister then thinks about what his orders are. Why all the sudden build a space station, and why put it in a ultra high orbit? Normally space stations are put into a standard high orbit. They are talking about 1/4 the distance between the Earth and the Moon. It's rather rediculous that they would pick such a long distance from the planet for the space station, but thats just his oppinion.

"Mr. Minister, they are running up the device right now."

"Thats all i need for now. Send them in when they arrive."

The work group walks into the room with the comm device in hand. They work quickly to place it on his desk and find somewhere to put the antenna that connects the device directly to the command center at mission control. They hand him paperwork that tells him that he can not only listen to what is going on, but talk to Mission Control and the launch craft at the same time.

T Minus 10 minutes to launch.
One of the workers finishes up mounting the antenna. "Will there be anyting else you need?"

The Minister paces back and forth between his desk and the window. "No, that will be all for now. You guys are on call though till i need you. Dismissed."

The 2 man work group then exited the room as quickly as they can. The minister then checks the connection of the comm device to Mission Control. "Testing, this is Minister Davis testing the comm device. Respond if you can hear me."

A slight static is heard over the device but it suddenly clears up as Flight Leader over at Mission Control responds, "This is Mission Leader Jenkins, we can hear you Mr. Davis, Over."

"I'll be listening in to see what happens during the launch and what not. Be advised."

"Rodger that. Were preparing for launch in T Minus 8 minutes. Have a look out your window and enjoy the show. Over."

The Minister then walks to the window and moves his chair into position so he can sit down while still seeing what is going on. He thinks to himself, this is going to be the most glorious day in the history of the Holy Empire of Shazbotdom.

OOC: I need more people for this. Spectators most likely. Sorry for not replying anyways, been busy at home.

IC:
As the brand new Z-55 Space Shuttle rises slowly off of the lauch pad with it's cargo of space station parts. The crowd looks up in awe as the shuttle gets smaller and smaller while it accends into the depths of space.

At a news conference shortly after the launch, Emporer Shaz Bot makes a monumental statement to the people of this great nation.

"This is one big step for the people of The Holy Empire of Shazbotdom! Today we streached our arms to the stars. We fully embrace any of the thousands of trials and tribulations that accompany space travel. This space station that we are building features enhanced space mechanics equipment built right here in Shazbotdom!"

The croud chears as the news camera's pan across the audiance and then return to the Emporer.

"Along with gravitational deck plating, we shall walk amoungst the stars while our scientists create plans for different technology to travel farther than any Shazbotdonian has traveled before! We will join the countless other nations that are capable of space travel. Today, we have made history!"

The croud chears again as the Emporer shakes his hands into the air and then walks off the stage...

On the ship called Pheonix Of Ages-

*Sir.We have updated comms and sonar.We have picked up a not too far off planet from our location. Shall we check it out?*

*Yes send in two groups of 2 Viper-Zs and 2 FFS Raptors.*

*We found a more begining leveled nation.*
*Pull back we are sending some MCs and the boss to the planet.*
*No man they have a ship in space right now.*

The MCs group up with the Delta Squad and head for the newly launched ship in a rush to meet new people.

*OOC:*
A little background information....The Z-55 Space Shuttle is around 3 times the size of the American Space Shuttle. With the size of the space station that we are constructing, the oversized shuttles are needed to carry the external components of the station. The station will serve as a staging ground for the building of a shipyard to construct the ships that will provide interplanitary transportation. The process of building my space fleet will be over a few RL months (2 - 3 months at the most).

*On board the shuttle*

"Jackson, there are a group of incomming ships," Edwards says as he reaches for the Stage 1 alert button.

"Stand down." Jackson says. "Their weapons arn't powered up at all. It is quite possible that they come to see us in a peaceful manner" He looks out the window of the shuttle as the ships approach their craft. "Tell Shelly that she can start unloading the cargo and tell the construction crew to start work on the space station. We are to wait up here for 2 more shuttles with the rest of the supplies."
