ooc: The Abbasid Emirate is a puppet of MassPwnage. And No, i don't know anything about Islam and I don't care about inaccuracy since I'm aiming for Taliban style puritanism anyway.
"And we're on in 3...2...1..."
A man of arab descent was sitting cross legged on a large red and gold silk cushion. The man wore a red silk robe, heavily encrusted with jewels. A jeweled turban sat on his head. The man himself seemed to be anywhere between 20 and 50. His face sported a neatly trimmed goatee, high cheekbones and alert, hard looking eyes. The man stared into the camera sitting there with a casual ease, like that of a resting cat. He cocked his head back ever so slightly and smiled in a slightly menacing way. Then he began to speak.
"Greetings to the International Community. I am the Emir Al-Mutasim of the Abbasids." His English was in the American dialect and downright perfect.
"Only recently has our nation ended its long isolation from the rest of the world. We wish to extend relationships with faithful (ooc: read: Fanatically Islamic) nations, and we wish to promote peace, security, wealth and goodwill to all."
"Our nation, although small in size, is quite wealthy. It has large oil, natural gas and mineral reserves. We are willing to work out trade agreements with any nation willing to buy our resources."
"That is all. Goodnight. Allahu Akbar."
With those words, the Emir pulled out a pistol and shot once into the ceiling as his image faded out.
"And we're on in 3...2...1..."
