Hong Kong, DX (AP)- Today, it is confirmed that several top Federalist Party bosses, along with numerous Federalist Party memebers, have left the Party, citing President Lew's recent agreement ot a Non-Aggression Pact with the Mississippian Federation, economic slowdowns and Lew's slowness in dealing with the Real Anime Liberation Movement.
The defecting Party members have joined with the thrid-place Green Worker's Party, to form a new coalition called the "New Homeland Party."
Calling for a move to DuFourist Economics, an aggressive policy towards the Fabus Bloc and a variety of alternatively nationalistic and liberal policies, they have nominated a most unlikely canadiate for Preisdent: a 25 year old comic book artist and Socialist agitator named Yuri Iwata.
Speaking from a rostroum in the Hong Kong Convention Center, she said:
"We will not take this anymore. Lew has allowed the RALM to get away, he merely watched them, tracked their movements, but he didn't hunt them actively like he should have. Also, why did he sell out to the MS Federation!? WHY!? They are violent thugs! Also, we need a change in economic policy, ever since Lew outlawed outsourcing, the economy has gone down the tubes! We must unite and say, we're mad as Hell, and we're not gonna take anymore!"
Gordon Lew, in response, has said, "Those are lies, I have been actively dealing with the RALM for months now, suing National Police and the CIA to deal with them and to provide data to allies in Henrytopia and other hotspots. We also killed off the remnants of the Katsujen-ken/Aum Shinrikyo cult in Ottoman Azerbaijan. So don't say I am soft on terror."
In response, Lew has formed his own coalition, to be called the "Freedom Party," joining forces with the conservative Nationalist Party.
Experts have speculated that this will sow the seeds of a heated Presidential race, as both sides have begun actively recruiting members and voters.
