RB City, Unrepentant War Machine of Roach-Busters

Generalissimo J.L. contemplated the vast map of the world his eyes beheld with profound interest. Lately, he had experienced an unrelenting, exhilerating impulse to expand RB's influence and create an empire, a temptation that was irrepressible and which dominated his thoughts with increasing frequency. Soon, he was losing sleep, picking at his food during meals, and mentally dozing off during the day and pacing as tirelessly as a robot at night. One country in particular caught his eye: the Republic of Nicaragua. Once a fairly prosperous nation, it was now a destitute, impoverished nation, and had been ever since the Marxist-Leninist gangsters known as the Sandinistas ousted democratically-elected President Anastasio Somoza Debayle, imposed a totalitarian communist dictatorship upon the unfortunate populace, slaughtered thousands of innocents in the most barbarous and appalling manner, and wreaked great havoc upon a once thriving economy. The Sandinistas were eventually ousted from power, yet their influence was still profound, and they still crawled about through Nicaragua like the malodorous cockroaches they were. Alas, J.L. would soon put a stop to that.
Operation: Somocista was about to commence.
This highly-classified military maneuver, unknown even to most of Congress, would consist of a few easy steps:

1)Invade Nicaragua
2)Locate and kill every member of Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional
3)Oust President Enrique Bolaños in a bloodless coup and install Anastasio Somoza Portocarrero (the son of the late Anastasio Somoza Debayle) as President
4)Make Nicaragua a protectorate of the Unrepentant War Machine of Roach-Busters

Step 1 was already underway. Generalissimo J.L. had dispatched the following forces, which were en route to Nicaragua:

The calm, serene, soothing, utterly tranquilizing sound of peaceful silence was soon drowned out by the blaring sound of helicopter propellers buffeting the air. Poor peasants and fishermen looked around, bewildered, then cast their gaze upward and beheld hundreds of black, sleek, meticulously-polished, bullet-proof RB military choppers air-lifting the aforesaid vehicles into the country. Transport ships sailed into the harbor, docked, and the troops inside immediately disembarked, toting their guns, chanting their fervent and undying allegiance to the RB flag and all it stood for, and hurriedly embarking on their mission to locate and decimate every Sandinista they could find. Soon, the vehicles were grounded, and they quickly rolled into the city to begin their mission.

Managua, Nicaragua

President Enrique Bolaños looked out the window, and was stunned and incredulous when he saw his residence enveloped by dozens of tanks and thousands of soldiers. Surprisingly, the RB troops had been able to reach their destination without a single incident.

General Creighton Eastmoreland bellowed into a microphone, "Mr. President, please step out quietly. Do not bring any bodyguards. You will not be harmed."

Reluctantly, Bolaños complied. He exited the building, unaccompanied, as he had been ordered. "Yes, I am President Enrique Bolaños," he said, visibly anxious. "What is it that you want?"

"No need for alarm, Mr. President," Eastmoreland said. "We have come to save your nation from the yoke of communism."

"No, no, do not misunderstand, the Marxists were removed from power by the people fifteen years ago," Bolaños said.

"The Sandinistas are still around, are they not? If you let cockroaches survive, they breed, they spread, come back, and infest your house, or in this case, your country. We remember the brutality and callousness they relished in, the unspeakable atrocities they committed against your freedom-loving people. All we want is to help. There is only one man who is right for the job, and he is ex-President Somoza's son. He will succeed you as President today."

"But...but..."

Eastmoreland gently patted the soon-to-be-ex-President's shoulder. "It's all right. Nothing will happen to you. As a token of our goodwill, the RB government will pay you 10 billion dollars and provide you with a mansion whose size and beauty are unparalleled, in RB. You can live in RB as a political exile, or stay here in your homeland. Either way, we will compensate you for stepping down. Please, there's nothing to think about. For the sake of your anticommunist people, for the sake of liberty, please step down."

After hours of badgering, cajoling, pleading, and maneuvering, Eastmoreland finally convinced President Enrique Bolaños to step down peacefully. On live television, Bolaños announced his resignation and named his successor. As good as its word, RB paid him handsomely, provided him with a mansion and 1,000 bodyguards, and allowed him to remain in Nicaragua.

After the inauguration, the RB soldiers set off for the next part of the mission: killing the Sandinistas...

Operation: Mobilization

Under orders from newly-inaugurated President Anastasio Somoza Portocarrero, a warrant was placed for Daniel Ortega Saavedra's arrest. Thousands of policemen and members of the Guardia Nacional prowled every inch of the country, searching for the former totalitarian dictator. RB troops aided their effort. RB National Guardsmen handed out rocket launchers, pistols, and machine-guns to young civilian men, who joined in the search.

Ortega was no fool; as soon as he heard that RB had come, he immediately evacuated Managua with as many of his followers as he could find on short notice. Alas, his efforts were to no avail.

In Managua, Sandinistas were gunned down in the streets without remorse, shot like the rabid dogs they were. Family members of Sandinistas were rounded up and driven away in vans to RB ships to be peacefully deported from the country. Everywhere, blood and bullets flew as the Sandinista population dwindled at an alarming rate...

A small prison, Managua, Nicaragua

WARNING!! Graphic violence! You have been warned!!!

Ortega's head soared back so far that his Adam's apple bulged profusely and his neck nearly snapped with the impact. Groggy, dazed, and disorientated, he peered at the RB guard who had just punched him.

"Why...why are you doing this?" he pleaded. Like many psychopaths, he was charismatic, manipulative, and a compulsive but skilled liar.

The RB guard backhanded Ortega, whose head crashed into the wall, causing tiny fragments of cement to crumble to the floor. His hair was wet with blood.

"Stop it, I'll take over from here."

They turned as Generalissimo J.L. entered the room, smiling. "Ahhh, Mr. Daniel Ortega Saavedra, how do you do," he said coldly, adding enough emphasis to each word to make them chips of ice. "I'm J.L. Pleased to beat you!"

J.L. smashed a rifle butt into Ortega's right eye, gouging it and drizzling the floor in blood. Ortega screamed.

"You sick fuck," J.L. said contemptuously, ramming the rifle butt into Ortega's stomach, knocking the wind out of him. "Pieces of scum like you have no right to live. I've been waiting for this day, Danny Boy. Waiting for a long, long time!"

J.L. whipped out a switchblade and slashed Ortega's left cheek, spraying blood. Then, he uppercut his chin, loosening a few teeth, dislocating the lower hinge of his jaw, and causing him to nearly bite his tongue in half. J.L. quickly stepped back as Ortega began coughing up blood.

For over sixteen hours, J.L. continued to horrifically beat Ortega without so much as a time out. When he was done, Ortega was drenched from head to toe in gore, battered, bruised, mutilated, and barely alive.

J.L. smiled, took out his revolver, and shot Ortega in the head three times. Ortega slumped to the ground, and departed this world for Hell. J.L. took a sword and lobbed off Ortega's head, then grabbed it by the hair, walked outside, and held it up for all Nicaraguans to see.

The approval of J.L.'s action was nearly unanimous; millions watched it on live TV, and massive crowds wildly cheered, applauded, and hailed J.L. as a hero.
