For weeks there had been speculation about the health of the Emperor. He had been seen less and less in public and his son had been taking over more and more of his duties. People had long feared that the Emperor was on his death bed and there fears were realised when one morning all ths flag poles on the Emperors ancient castle in the Capital Tristam flew black flags. In the streets people were distraught at the death of there leader, people rushed inside to gain what news they could of the death. The pipes of the castle began their long mournfull tune as the news spread and preperations for the funeral were made. People guarded round the gates to the fotress and flowers piled all around it, finally the people had some news of the death

this is a special bulletian from the HHBC. Today it has been announed that Emperor Ferdinand von Maticheck had died. No cause of death has yet been released but it is belived to have been from natural causes. It is reported that his son and heir, Prince Ferdinand von Maticheck II, was at his bedside at the time of our Leaders death. 4 days of mourning have been declared before the funeral and the crowning of the new Emperor. Untill then all business's are to close to allow the poplace to close. No expenses will be spared to allow the public to see off their most treasured Emperor. That is all we have for now, more news will be brought to you when it arrives.
The economy of Huzen Hagen was shut down for 4 days, the treasury would pick up any costs so that the country would be able to continue after the funeral. The city of tristam was a sea of black, flags hung from every window allong the cobbled streets and all dressed in black. The pipers kept there constant vidual over the palace and there haunting melodies wafted down into the surrounding countryside. The Prince was prepared to accept the crown and rule over the Holy Empire of Huzen Hagen. The Raven, the Emperors elite bodyguard began preparing to escort the bodyto its final resting plave in there tempel in the forest covered mountains dehind Tristam. Armour was polised and the funeral cart was carved out of ebony. Horses were cleaned and groomed. The military was also affected, all forces that could make it too the funeral were to do come home at once. Ships on patrol in Imperial armies steamed through the twin channels into the great inner sea and moored off the coast. The Emperors Friends of old were invited to take part in the funeral, all members of the Imperial armies region, the fruit islands, RWC and any other allys aswell as those wishing to pay respect to a fallen warrior were encouraged to come. Much was expected of the new Emperor and he was going to have to start working the moment his father was laid to rest
