OOC: If anyone already claims this, then ignore this attack. If you claim it, give me the thread in which you invaded it. I am using the RL nation claims thread to scope for free territory, and this one appears to be free.

The Empire Reborn stalked the coast of Mauritania, a large African nation ripe for the picking. The aircraft carrier was on full alert, waiting to pounce on the nation of Mauritania. The signal was given, and the Empire Reborn launched her compliment of attack aircraft to pound Mauritania into dust.
Soon after, the transports moved in to the beaches. Two full divisions of troops--100,000 men a piece--hit the beaches, the 1st Division in the north, and the 2nd Division in the south. The divisions broke into battalion sized groups and headed out to seize strategic locations, encountering light resistance.
Finally, the last push was made to the eastern end of the country. Quickly crusing all resistance, the Imperial divisions conquered all of Mauritania within 36 hours. Only a single tank had been lost, to friendly fire, and only ten men had died in the fighting on the Imperial side.
With Mauritania taken, the Emperor, Victor Ramius, officialy annexed the nation.
"With the Mauritanian despots fallen, we now have the right to impose our enlightened rule on the Mauritanian people. Under our protection, Mauritania will grow and prosper, and will be fully integrated into our Empire."
