OOC: Like it says, all techs, all are invited. The music is located in the link at the bottom. The RP takes place before, during, and after the concert.
A temporary Shuttle Port was ready, it could begin bringing the attendees to the concert.
Lodgings had been reserved in the area for anyone wishing to stay around for a night.
The Invitations had been sent to all the leaders of all countries.
Cleyra Desert, Planet of Gaia, Gaia System
The Grand Ballroom, a huge building constructed for the sole purpose of Artistic Entertainment, towers above all the buildings in the Cleyra Desert. Constructed of Sandstone, Marble, and several other materials, it displays a perfect view of Pre Siesatia Burmecia. It survived many attacks, almost untouched, and to this day, presents a proud view of tradition by Siesatia.
Today, the hall is mainly in use by the Siesatian National Symphony Orchestra, the Elite Classical Group, that is the only artistic organization supported by the government. The hall requires a staggering 10 million to operate a year, just to show the amount of money put into it.

Vice President Juliet LeFlore of the Democratic Colonies would be honored to attend this sympony. Due to technological constraints, the Democratic Colonies is unable to transport her offworld to Gaia - transportation would be appriciated. Vice President LeFlore will be accompanied by eight agents of the Colonial Security Bureau, who shall be unarmed.
Vice President LeFlore would like to show her appriciation to Siesatia, and present as a symbol of the friendship between our two nations, a small number of rare paintings from the A.I Lifeform Colonial Collection of Art. The paintings in the collection are all one of a kind works that were created by the AIs in service of the Colonial Government. Due to the nature of thier being, the AIs do not paint often, and thier few works are regarded as occasional, surreal glimpses into the digital realms of the artificial mind's creative potential. Vice President LeFlore would be honored to present The Grand Ballroom with these gifts, if you would accept them.

That's alright, thank you anyway. The HMS Ulysses, the Queen's personal -- and unarmed -- yacht, has just completed shake-down tests of the new advanced cruise drive. She should arrive there before the concert begins. The Ulysses will be escorted by the HMS Victoria, a fully armed battleship. Will it be acceptable for this battleship to enter your space along with the Ulysses, or will she have to stop at your territorial borders?

There is a small border stop, on the edge of the system, we have supplied the coordiates. It will be a 15 second stop. During that process, temporal sensors will scan the ships for any major weapons. It is a small inconvinience, and we appologise for it, but it is for the protection of both your queen, and the rest of the National Leaders attending.
The battleship will be allowed to dock at the orbital station above Gaia, but we must convey our... Disaproval. And our Defence ministry will take drastic measures should there be any buissiness that threatens any national leader.
Shuttles do not have to go through this process.

Thank you. The Victoria will not charge her weapons or load her torpedoes whilst in your territory; nor will she send any personnel planet-side on arrival. I do hope you understand our reluctance at letting our Queen's yacht travel alone through uncharted space; we have no desires of hostility towards anybody.
I will begin preparations for departure at once; I look forward to arriving in your space.

It is uncharted to us, however, your territory wasn't our concern, and hence why we were willing to leave the Victoria at a border station if you requested it. It is unlikely our single battleship could pose a threat to someone with your level of technology anyway. No, we have extensive terrorist and pirate problems in our territory, who would have a field day with an unescorted Royal yacht. And we have not charted many places outside of our own initial territory as of yet; indeed, the Ulysses will be going further out than any Bretonian ship has gone before. A title our adventurous Queen is most eager to attain. And an excellent reason to not allow her to travel without armed escort.

Bretonia- it is understood. 20,000 lightyears is not far... We inquire, is your nation isolationist? It will be the farthest for many earthbound nations, but what of yourself?
Our nation is isolationist, but not because we desire it. Our territories are surrounded by a very thick nebula densely filled with gravitational, subspace, temporal anomalies as well as severe kenetic stresses due to turbulence, asteroids and dense chunks of ice. We call it exactly what it is, the Great Barrier. Until quite recently, we were simply unable to leave our own territory. The HMS Victoria was the first ship to successfully pass through it thanks in part to her revolutionary energy sheath, although she took heavy damage and was nearly unable to set up the temporary jump gate on the other side. Even the jump gate had trouble establishing a successful connection through the barrier, probably thanks to the subspace anomalies present there. After extensive modifications we've managed to properly modulate the gate for normal operation through the Barrier and have begun exploratory missions.

Vice President LeFlore strode confidently down Federation Avenue in the capital of the Democratic Colonies, Viconia City. Accompanied by a much smaller security detachment than usual, LeFlore had only a short distance to walk before reaching her destination, a small security zone that had been established for the landing of the Siesatian shuttle.
The sound of roaring engines pierced the bright blue midday sky as a squadren of F-106 Liberators made an over pass of the landing zone. While the fighters were nothing more than an honorguard, protocol nontheless demanded thier presence. They began to orbit at a low altitude as another, larger shape began to descend. Much larger than the fighters, it was the sleek, spaceworthy form of a Siesatian shuttle. The force of the shuttle's engines bringing the vessel down to Earth sent a small storm of leaves and debris flying, prompting several protective agents to draw and put on wraparound sunglasses to protect thier vision. They waited, standing still like statues caught in a bizzare storm of whirling leaves until the whining of the engines ceased and a door opened. Vice President LeFlore led the way into the shuttle as her security detachment of eight and a pair of her assistants, pushing a cart of ten paintings locked in titanium composite cases and shrouded by a velvet wrap, followed her in.

Said temporal annomolies could be sealed using a recently invented method. Our scientists would be happy to take a crack at it. They are an especially dangerous part of space travel, and it is in the best interest of all to seal them.

The shuttle set down. It had blown up a bit too much debris. The captain wondered if he should have it brought in for an inspection. Maybe the repulsors were overpowered? The Gangplank settled on the ground, and several of the attendants walked out to show the DC representatives inside. There was a personal cabin for Vice President LeFlore, when they approached the door, the Dragon Knights, who had been stationed onboard, left. It had been guarded since their departure.

The offer is appreciated but unnecessary. Now that the jump gate network has adjusted to the unusual conditions of the Barrier, the anomalies no longer pose any sort of problems. To negate our reliance on a single jump gate connection, construction on a second on the opposite side of the Barrier is already under way. The dangerous conditions of the Barrier are somewhat advantageous to us now, in fact; if the Barrier were little more than asteroids and chunks of ice, pirates and terrorists would not hesitate to use the area to establish bases and in doing so become almost impossible to find. As it stands, they dare not enter the Barrier any more than the Armed Forces.
We have been monitoring the phenomenon for the better part of 800 years and have not seen any of their effects leave the confines of the Barrier, and see no reason for this to change. Some believe the Barrier is in fact an artificial construct of ancient, alien origins, though we fail to see any evidence for how that is possible.
Regardless, I can confirm that the Queen's yacht and escort have just entered the jump gate to the Alpha-Epsilon system and should now be on the way.

Emperor Crossman was in his cabin with Lord Azrael and Lord Admiral Hamasaki.
The pilot's voice came over the comm system. "Your Excellency, we have reached the Gaia system. We are now on route to the planet."
Crossman hit the comm button. "Excellent. Carry on."
Hamasaki grinned. "You know, My Lord, I don't believe I've ever actually been to a symphony." She let out a small laugh.
The Emperor stared at her blankly. "And you call yourself a Crossmanian? I'll make sure that I arrange some free time for you to visit the Crossmanian Imperial Orchestra when we return to Crossmanus Prime. You don't need to head right back to work."
"As you wish Emperor. Thank you."

Our humble leader respectfully requests to attend this most generous offer of a concert. The compassionate dictator, Rowan Al-Nakaqa Smith, has never seen the planet Gaia nor its galacticly renowned Siesatian National Symphony Orchestra. He simply asks that all transportation responsibilities be followed out by our hosts in the Gaia system. We are a small developing socialist state in the Middle East region and, as such, do not have the infrustructure to provide transport. I hope arrangements can be made for the safe transport of the dictator and his five police-guards.

Mobile faster-than-light systems. A wonder of the universe. Bretonian ships had previously had nowhere to go beyond their measly six solar systems, so most work was put into more cost-effective static FTL systems. The ships were capable of near-light speeds, but they relied on a network of jump gates and trade lanes to break the barrier.
Now that exploration was possible, the Bretonians found themselves with no actual means to exploit that possibility. It was mere months of research that led them to refitting some ships with 'advanced cruise engines'. These systems were still highly classified and used solely by the few military vessels assigned to exploratory missions, but they were becoming more common. They followed a similar path as trade lanes; an energy field would envelop the ship and allow it to phase slightly out of normal space. Using standard sublight cruise engines, the ship could then achieve speeds far in excess of light.
Still, it was a new technology, and nowhere near as fast as the FTL systems used by other, more established civilisations. So, then, it was after a very long journey that the HMS Ulysses finally zoomed towards a Siesatian border station. Her hull seemed to glow a faint green-blue as she slowed almost instantly to standard thruster speeds. Another, much larger ship, swooped in to stop beside the Ulysses. Bristling with large gun turrets, and punctuated with small torpedo holes, the HMS Victoria was probably advanced where she came from.
"This is Ulysses Control, flying out of Bretonia," a voice called across the void. Conventional radio. These ships were undoubtedly long-since out of contact with their homeland. "Requesting permission to enter Siesatian territory. Royal party onboard, due for the concert."

The Bretonian ships' computers transmitted some sort of transponder code to the station. An automatic system used to activate jump gates in their homelands, the code would also be useful for tracking their movements. The two vessels held their positions in space for nearly quarter of an hour, before their engines finally started pushing them forwards, beyond the border station.
Finally in orbit of the planet, a large hangar door in the underbelly of the Ulysses opened up. A small shuttle dropped from the ship, and turned to accelerate towards the planet. At the same time, two fighters launched from the nearby battleship and escorted the shuttle as it went.
As the shuttle glowed with the heat of re-entry, the fighters honoured the Siesatian terms regarding weapons and pulled away, heading back to the battleship.
The shuttle burst through the atmosphere and headed for the designated landing co-ordinates. Slowly to a crawl, it turned around and set down on the pad gently. There was a hum and a clunk, and the shuttle's engines finally cut off.
The rear hatched whirred and slammed down to the ground, and two uniformed men stepped out and looked around. They had black, plastic-like holsters on their belts, but they were empty. As unnerved by this as the naval officers were, they went about their duty of scanning for threats.
Bretonian Ceremonial Naval Uniform:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/MattLever/Bretonia/bretonian_uniform.jpg
After performing visual and sensor surveys of the immediate region, they looked into the shuttle and nodded. A woman stepped out, followed by two additional naval officers, also unarmed.
The woman wore a red and white dress, tight and reaching right down to the floor. Apart from the collar which reached half-way up her head, this seemed to be fairly informal attire for a monarch. She wore little in the way of jewellery, beyond a broach on her chest, and she kept her jet-black hair neat and short, reaching down to her shoulders.
Another man in an Earth-like, red and white suit stepped out of the shuttle and busily beckoned the navy officers to get out of the way. He stepped, dusting himself off.
"Presenting, Her Great Majesty Queen Carina the..."
"I can speak for myself thank you," the woman interrupted, pushing him from her view. "My name is Carina, I'm pleased to meet you. This is my advisor, Mr. Lurneham, who I think you've already spoken to. I hope he wasn't this infuriating with you too. I'm very pleased to be on an actual alien world... are there any foods that you would suggest I try? And what sights do you think I could take in before the concert starts? And... oh, I'm sorry... It hasn't stopped raining in Bermecia City in all recorded time, which covers over 7000 years. And It hasn't stopped raining in the surrounding continents in over 2000. The desert is the spot on the planet, where it rains very little. If you were to go outside, not that I'd reccomend it, since it is over 140 degrees at the moment, being noon and all. However, there is the Chocobo forest on the other side of the continent. I don't think you would make it back in time for the concert, maybe after, but there you would find Gaia's version of the Horse. And finally, there is the Ilifa tree. "Hmm... Well, one of the more interesting things here, is the desert, and the Eternal Rains of the rest of the planet. But that is also on the other side of the planet. Maybe tomorrow if you stay the night."
"Hmmm..." she pondered, putting her hand on her chin thoughtfully. "I think I'll wait until afterwards. It'd be a jolly big shame if I travelled all this way to see this concert and then missed it. I will try some of that... cacacatara salad, though, if you don't mind."

OOC: So that's what I forgot...
The ship carrying both Antoinette, and VP LeFlonne, came out of hyperspace. A bit bumpyer than expected, because a large battlecruiser was sitting in their exit point, and they had to redirect in order to miss it. Other than that, their landing was uneventful. When they landed, Siesatian authorities escorted Francis and LeFlonne out of the shuttle, and into the building. They hurried, as the temperature outside was still 140 degrees.

"Indeed it would be... Now, I can show you to a table, and I am sure a waiter will be there in a moment. I have just been informed that the Cherry Ridge, and Democratic Colonies Representatives have arrived. They were on the same shuttle, and I am worried they were...less than kind to one another." Greetings to our Friend and Ally,
I have received your invitation and I have decided to attend the concert in person. I will be arriving in my flagship, The Serendipity.
We would like to offer a performance of The Balroggian Imperial Philharmonic Orchestra. If you would like them to participate please let me know so I may bring them along. They have the greatest and most talented musicians in the Empire.
We would also like to offer support in a military fashion in accordance with the Triad Alliance. If you need them, the Imperial Escort Fleet, which will stay at your borders, can offer assistance if needed.

Greetings to you, old friend. If you will excuse my tardiness, I would like to attend the next performance. I will arrive in the A.N.S.S. Elenya, with guns capped, though I hope you will excuse us if we leave defensive systems online. Also, I would like to make a donation of 1.5 Million gold weasels to your orchestra to make use of as they wish. Thank you, and I shall arrive as quickly as possible.

"ANSS Elenya, you are cleared for the gate."
Captain Heinz was simultaneously excited and stressed this day. It was not every day that a frigate captain and his ship were chosen as the personal transport of the Emperor himself. Even though the full extent of the run was merely the orbit of Arizona Prime to the Orbital Stargate, he was quite obsessed with making sure everything was working exactly right, at maximum efficiency. The Emperor mentioned a need for haste as well, adding to his anxiety.
"Iris code... accepted. Gate activated."
Luckily for Heinz, he wouldn't have to worry about maneuvering a cumbersome vessel through the gate. The Elenya was a frigate, far under a kilometer in length. The engines powered up in the far rear of the craft and pushed it in. Within an instant, the Siesetian homeworld of Gaia was visible on the view screen.
"The shuttle is away, captain. We are to hold orbit until the Emperor returns."
"Acknowledged," said Heinz. "Continue running the diagnostics on the engines and subsystems - I want everything in working condition."
"Yes sir," said the lieutenant.
Anithraldur boarded the shuttle, with some new bodyguards - Grey Ops troops, recently returned from a training camp that was actually based at the planet he was descending to now. From what he had heard, it had been a good investment.
"So, Karth, I expect this will be a homecoming of sorts for you?"
"Yes sir, though our destination is markedly different than my last."
"Indeed. This shall be most interesting - I have rarely heard of such a grand event being hosted anywhere before."
The shuttle set down at it's appointed dock, and Anithraldur and his attendents stepped off, and headed for the concert hall.

The emporor's shuttle was not the only important visitor headed to the concert. It was nearing 1:00 PM, and a Skimmer was headed towards the building from the desert. It was still hot outside, and when a figure stepped out, the redness of it's clothes, made it look like a mirage.
The door opened and Crescent looked over to see another person in red. She was headed over his way.
His daughter, Jessica, had been able to make it after all.
"How are you, I haven't seen you in ages." He said, he was never comfortable in the desert, but seeing her again, after almost two years, helped. She hugged him.
"I take it tonight is going well?" She asked.
"Very well, everything is perfect, better than I thought it would be." He said, and he saw the great door open again. "Many visitors from all over the Universe, and I have to go greet them. You go ahead and wander around, we will have to get caught up later."
He headed over to the main doors to greet the newest arrival, who happened to be Anithraldur, and a couple of the Gray Ops they had trained. They were, much to his dismay, not dressed in the Dragoon Dress the code they were tought, but then he remembered, they were not Siesatian Troops.

Great friend and ally,
I am proud to attend your celebration. We will be leaving immediately. I will leave the Escort Fleet within T-Space when we get there. They will remain there until you either assign them patrol duties or something happens. I would like to broadcast the entertainment to my crew so they can enjoy your music also.
I will be bringing a small group of musicians to participate. The following message will give you the reasoning for the change in plans.

Message from the Balrogga Imperial Department of Cultural Advancements:
The full orchestra cannot attend but we have a very special group to send. It consists of four cellists who are the most skilled in history. They have combined their musical shills with their mastery in Empathic Projection. The audience can literally feel the music as it is being played by the musicians on the stage. They also have extraordinary range with their projections. They can fill an entire coliseum with whatever emotion they wish to portray with their music.

Democratic Colonies
21-01-2005, 04:15
One of Vice President LeFlore's protective detail let out a low whistle as the group of eleven made thier way through the ancient corridors of The Grand Ballroom.
"Sure puts the Viconia Operahouse to shame, dosen't it?" remarked one of LeFlore's assistants, walking beside her.
"This building is older than the Democratic Colonies itself. That's hardly suprising." said LeFlore, herself very much impressed by the mammoth structure. "Infact, this is probably - " she was interupted by the clanging of a titanium carry case against the floor. She whirled around to see that one of the paintings from the A.I Lifeform Colonial Collection of Art had fallen off of the trolley that her other assistant was pushing.
"Bloody hell." cursed the man who was pushing the trolley. He quickly moved to pick up the metallic painting case.
"Stop." said LeFlore. "I'll open it up - might have been damaged in the fall." she said. "I'll just open the case and we'll have a little look to make sure it's alright."
Leaning down, LeFlore pressed her thumb onto a small digital pad that took her fingerprint before opening the painting's carrying case. With a spring, the case popped open, revealing the painting inside.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/JC_Denton/AI%20Art/4bb94cc8.jpg
"Looks fine." said LeFlore, running her hands accross the cloth of the painting. "This is 'Nightmares of Failure' by the AI of the CNS Valley Forge, a Pax Magellanic Class Carrier with the Navy." continued LeFlore, almost talking to herself.
"I think that paticular AI goes by Vallory for short." LeFlore explained, as she continuned to check the painting for damage. "Was painted shortly after the Female Slavery Inc crisis, when Admiral Rachel Garrett established a blockade of the slavers but later..."
LeFlore, satisfied that the painting was fine, snapped the case back shut and stood up, handing the case to her assistant.
"We need to get going, the orchastra's going to begin soon." she said. She turned to the assistant pushing the trolley. "Try to be more careful." she said to him in a neutral tone. The assistant swallowed audibly before nodding. LeFlore turned around and began walking fowards again. "We need to find somewhere to stick these before we present them to the Siesatians after thier performance." she said, again, seeminly just thinking outloud. Her high heels clicked loudly on the floors of The Grand Ballroom.

He looked over at Karth, who was staring out one of the windows to the desert beyond, and leaned over slightly and said, "Karth, what are you looking at?" he asked.

He tried to keep concentrating on the concert, but he couldn't shake the feeling. Suddenly, Anithraldur picked up his link to the Elenya - what would they be calling for? Anithraldur's countenance paled somewhat, but quickly was replaced with concern. He put the link down.
"We have a visitor in the hall, Karth," he said, looking around.
"Do we? Who?"
"From the looks of it, a Sith Lord of some sort - must've come in by stealth, though the ship he came on is not exactly stealthy itself - big enough to turn this planet into so much debris, at least. Admirality has been informed, just in case."

The HMS Illustrious arrived in orbit, having been cleared by Siesation authorities. She was a much older, much smaller vessel than the Victoria, a Warwick-class, but she was still more heavily armed than the Queen's yacht, which wasn't armed at all.
Carina down from the latest piece of music being performed when her communicator bleeped loudly. She picked it up and held it close to her head.
"Your Majesty, this is the Illustrious, I am just letting you know we are in orbit now," a man's voice said politely.
"Thank you Captain," Carina whispered.
"I also thought you would like to know that the Captain of the Victoria has signalled us," the man continued. "They engaged and disabled the HMS Norfolk an hour ago."

"I do hate to run, but I would like to ensure some sort of diplomatic contact is possible between our peoples in the future. Lurneham, please give him the information he will need. I really must be going."
She nodded to her guards who stood up and escorted her from the concert hall. Lurneham stepped up and handed Crescent a PDA.
"This contains the frequencies we scan for, and the co-ordinates of our Border Station," he told him. "Communications will not penetrate the Great Barrier, but the Border Station will forward the message through the jump gate if you send it to them and mark it appropriately. Just in case you wish to contact us again. Good bye!" Lurneham nodded in respect, and jogged to catch up with the Queen and her guards.
