The nation who used to claim Somalia is dead, so here goes.
People who use other threads, Earth N+1 or whatever, please don’t post here. That’s just the thread all my friends and former friends use.

It was a good day for the Somalia. The sun was shining, yet it was not too hot. People flocked to the nation’s beaches and pools for a dip. Those who went for the beaches were lucky: they would witness, themselves, the best day of Somalian history.
As witnesses would say, it started rather suddenly, as a flock of strange fighter planes, looking like enormous birds of prey. They blotted out the sum. They drowned out every sound by the roar of their engines. They came from Allanea.
The force – later to be found out to have been about three air armadas – dropped bombs on surviving rebel positions in the country. Within minutes of the incredible onslaugh, all that was left of surviving Marxist rebels was ashes and bomb craters.
Then – as the CIA has pre-agreed with the leaders of the small Libertarian movement of Somalia – they came for the Government forces. More bombs screamed through the air, seeking out courts, police stations, army bases, governement offices. And when the armadas where dones, they flew off towards Allanea, and three more went in to replace them – and the slaughter continued.
After the last plane disappeared, a single Allanean cargo ship, a commercial freighter, appeared off the shore of the capital. From the ship, men descended. Special men. United States Marines. At the guidance of their local Libertarian friends, they went through the city, like a storm of lead and steel, kicking in the doors of government officials and legislators.
Some where shot. Some where hanged outside their offices. Others where thrown out of their windows and into the street, where they lied for hours, moaning in pain as the locals feared to render them aid.
The morning after, the announcement came:
Official Announcement of the United States President
Today, I declare Somalia to be a Territory of the United States. It will become a full-fledged state within fifteen years. I am congratulating the people of Uruguay with their new freedom. The first governor of Uruguay is Senor Pedro Armando Gonzales, leader of the local Libertarian Party
