In any case, the only effective methods of dealing with the substance so far have been dropping it into a black hole or teleporting it into space, correct?

Where do we find a black hole?

Well, look for the massive swirling dust vortex and the X-ray emissions :)
If all else fails we can take the expensive approach and collapse the outer planets into one giant thingummy :P

Acigoo is a sort of organic acid thing, it starts as a big blob of pinkish goo, and consumes everything around it. After a while you get single celled buggers, then more complex stuff appears. So far no weapons have been found to do anything more than slow it down. Nukes just speed it up.
Basicaly the last times it was moved from Earth via teleportation, if I recall.

ooc- I could pull up a rough description of it from way back in the day when we rped this stuff.....*looks through word documents* And Acigoo was wiped off the face of the earth but it still exists floating somewhere in space and could only get here by meteor or whatnot hitting us with it but the chacnes are extremely slim....

Is there some way to send an some crews into space to hunt the stuff down and destroy it?

ooc-As far as i know Acigoo can not be destroyed but he can be contained. But i could be wrong but as far as i knew from the rps it was decided it couldn't be destroyed by anything earth had, (or the future tech nation that helped remove it had.) So i think it would be no but i'll go talk to the creators of the acigoo and make sure...

Acigoo isn't pink. It is grey. And I'm all for this. I'm a vetran of both acigoo wars that have happened and am also sadly a vetran of the third one that ended up being a techwankers playpen. But anyways even if the smallest particle of acigoo is detected my military will be ready to drop everything else to deal with it.

Well, my last experience with it was some years ago, and I tend to think of giant blobs as being pinkish (Comes from watching The Blob, I suppose).
