Fluffywuffy has long been a protectionist trader, exporting all that it can (which is very little) and forcing foreign competition to fight a massive tarriff system. Today, however, the Emperor has decreed that the protectionist system is to crumble into dust, with the market allowed to run its natural course.

He has even allowed foreign corporations to set up shop in Fluffywuffy, to exploit the rich fishing off the southern coast and the large uranium deposits in the Jar Desert. Other sectors, such as retail and information technology, have also opened up. Fluffywuffy has now become a massive free-for-all in the battle to dominate the markets.

(OOC: Too lazy for anything special today.)

Excellent.

Southwest Asia's Door to Door Salesmen industries are relocating customer support calls and complaint centers to Fluffywuffy.

On that note, these companies will require major landmasses and possible a shipping yard to sustain the employees.

Access to all ports and land is garaunteed to foreign competition. The land, however, must be purchased from whoever owns it. Southwest Asia's door-to-door salesperson industry can request that the Imperial government issue a loan for the industry to get started in Fluffywuffy, and the government would be glad to issue one.

With the majority of industry in Modern Marvels previously limited to keeping sales and trade within the country, the main reason for this being it's lack of international communications, the Prime Minister Marvil Akshun-Hiro decides to take full advantage of this opportunity, giggling with girlish glee.

His people immediately get to work on trying to get some sort of a trade running between the two countries that would allow Modern Marvels' extensive Woodchip industry to export the product to Fluffywuffy in exchange for importing whatever the country has to offer. What a fantastic day for the economy this could be.

The Second Empire will allow Lachenburg to set up its retail centers, as it will allow any nation to set up shop in Fluffywuffy.

For those who do not know what Fluffywuffy exports, the main exports are in the information technology sector. Operating systems, video games, and the like, are Fluffywuffy's most important exports.
