NEW AND INPROVED EXPORT VERSION!
Afrikaan Umpire Arms - Titan Armour Division:
The Panzer One[P-1] Heavy Next Generation Main Battle Tank:

The Panzer One[P-1] was the winner of the HNGMBT Competition Sponsored by the Afrikaan Vangarian Guard.

Chassis:

The chassis was researched at Titan Armour nearly two years ago to replace the old and simple, non-modular, King Elephante tank, the resulting system was called the Modular King Elephante[MKE] but was scratched after many flaws. The new chassis is much more refined and has a torision-pressure suspension. The chassis has the engine in the front to protect the crew even more in the front. The chassis has a two door rear door system, in which soldiers can get out through the top of the turrent or out the two back doors. The system is completely modular and organized into object systems.

Modules:

A missile pod system, which can use Hellfires, TOWs, Vihkrs, Stingers, AGW, and AATW missiles. It can have 2 of any of the missile, except the AGW and AATW, per pod. The AATW can have 3 in each pod and the AGW can have 4 four tubes in each pod containing 10 grenades each. Each missile pod is monted on the side of the tank and can move independently from the turrent, up and down, there is no need for left or right. It can also fire the LOSAT missile system 2 in each pod. They can also use the Javelin missile system with four missiles in each pod.

Engine:

The engine designed at AU Arms' Engine Department is the AUE-1DEAT. Which produces 2100HP producing from a diesel engine. The engine has a ventalation system and a liquid-nitrogen cooling system that keeps the engine cool under extreme conditions and has a armoured firewall on all sides, and is guarded with some of the thickest armour, and the engine itself helps add to its armour, making it nearly impenatrable, about three to four times the rating of the Abrams frontal armour in the front.

The engine system is assisted by an electric genarator system which keeps the tank's eletrical systems running incase of loss of power from the engine. If the engine is blown to kingdom-come the power still stays on running on the fuel reserve.

The engines transmission is a AUE-ALLB1 geared, torque increasing transmission that maximises the output of the engine and turns the drive wheels a the right power. With a computer control system the tranmission is regulated by the computer and specifies power to each tread, but makes sure both still have power. The tranmission is very durable and has yet been proven in the Ayudd Testing Grounds.

Weapons:

P55 CANNON | 125MM[145MM CHARGE] is a state of the art cannon which can effeciently penetrate almost all MBT at a distance of 6 miles, but at 4 miles its accuracy starts to fail. The gun accelerates some shells so quickly that the barrel and explosion chamber had to be reinforced to withstand the explosion of such a powerful modern explosive. Shell types are discussed later. The cannon can penetrate most vehicles with ease. It is fired by electronic means, similar to that of the metal-storm system, but without multiple shells in the barrel. It is therefor called and EHC or eletrical heavy charge. The cannon is stabled on a axis and it keeps the barrel on its target accurately.

P14 ROTARY CANNON | 20MM is a modern three-barrel-rotary cannon. Due to its relative small size it was able to fit into a co-axial position to be able to move partially free. The cannon has an extremely high rate of fire and can fire many differnt ammunition types. The gun can effectivly take out light armoured targets and infantry[messy] at up to 2 miles, but it loses accuracy there after.

P15 MACHINE GUN | 12.7MM is a heavy machine gun for anti-air purposes and anti-infantry purposes, it can even penetrate light vehicles. The gun has enough power to stop most enemy helicopter in flight. The gun has an effective range of up to 1 mile. There are two P15s.

Computers:

Powered by a network of 3.1GHZ ABM micro-computers to do digital imaging and filtering. It can filter out into night-vision, thermal heat, infrared, and even be able to see through smoke and fog. The imaging system auto-matically filters out images that may be too bright for the human eye. The system can remotely connect to command vehicles to gt battlefield information. It also can connect to Afrikaan Soldat Network, which can be used for sharing data between soldiers, officers and commanders.

The computers use the VC|OS 2.0 RISC based operating system. The system automatically boots the moment the vehicles is turned on. The operating system connects to the network and sends and recieves data through a wireless, yet secured network, all the data that passes the firewall are put on the server rack for storage. The operating system also uses the IMAGINE/G system that will allow for independent imaging system. The scopes also can target different object at the same time then the gunner can proceed to let any of the weapon systems attack the target. The system use FLIR and other systems

The gunning system can automatically guide any of the weapons to hit the target within effective range. The missiles can have a angle of approach, for enemies that have a large amount of armour on all sides there is the fire command then set the angle of approach and what weapons, then the fire guidance system will do it all for you.

Chemical Protection:

The P-1 uses a two part NBC protection system. It has a filter for the air. With a filter on the bottom of the tank and one on the back fo the turrent, it clears the air of unapproved chemicals. The filter is a positively charged grid that acts similar to a magnet and pulls in negatively charged particles. If there is an air leak the system can be sealed off on either sub-system side. It has a heat control system, that will either warm up the or cool down the crew compartment. The system also asorbs some radar signatures and some radioactive materials, due to the materials in the armour. All the doors and hatches are sealable and make for an easy filtering process.

Armour:

Front: Up To 32CMs of armour plus the engine and ERA.

Side: 14-15CMs of armour plus ERA.

Top: 7-10CMs of armour plus ERA.

Back: 10-12CM of armour plus ERA.

The Panzer-One uses an modernized version of the increasingly popular Helinix Armour. The armour flaps inside of the ERA is called the "ERA BUFFER" which are panels of a steel alloy that will flap out if hit rather than penetrate.

[
Helinix Armour - N

Overview: The Helinix Armour is used in tanks and armoured vehicles. It is made of major components such as: depleted uranium, steal alloys, threaded with toughly-woven carbon-N whiskers and ceramics honey-comb plate, the final step is the spall protector made of armind fiber. The Helinix is also considered a major threat[commercially] to the Pwentar Armour System.

Idea: The idea is to replace the aging Pwentar armour, with a new, more compositary armour. The armour is designed to have easily bolted on ERA attachments but can be removed for close infantry support.

Use: In armoured vehicles, not recommended for light armoured vehicles beause of its tremendous weight. The Helinix armour is used in the TA-T-1 Dalai Lama

Design: A steel casing, then a thick, mammoth depleted uranium shell, more steel mixed with carbon-N whiskers, then a ceramic-comb area, then more steel, again added carbon whiskers for more strength and finally armind fiber to protect from spall from entering the crew compartment, as mentioned before. Also availible with ERA attachments as mentioned before.

The Amour ERA:

The Amour ERA system is made of a layer of ERA materials that has a sensor that detects the incoming porjectile's velocity, path, and mass and etc, then the ERA explodes at the specified area, the ABM computer network does all this with plenty of time left over and without fear of damage. It also has a heavy explosive outward force than most other ERAs.

]

Auto-Loader:

The auto-loader has finally completely replaced the manual loader in the Afrikaan military and this is one of the last tanks to do so. The auto-load quickly pulls a shell from a circle of shells and pushes it into the chamber and then after the shell is fired the casing falls to the floor where it then can be thrown out. The quick-loader repeats the process until a reload of the circle is needed, which is done by hand by the gunner, while the commander takes control of the gunning system. The loader holds 10 ten rounds before needing a reload.

Counter-Arms:

Counter-arms includes a mortar, a grenade system, a smoke-screen system and a laser scanning defence network.

A 80MM mortar is included in the back of the tank and is controlled by the gunning system and the gunner, it uses a clip fed explosion device. There are two shell types, a armour piercing shell, and a fragmentation shell.

The turrent-side mounted grenade system is a 10 tube, 20MM box grenade metal-storm system. There are smoke grenades, gas grenades, and aerosal grenades. It is used for hiding the tanks position, gasing people around the tank, and for blocking lasers.

The grenade system doubles as a smoke-screen system if it has smoke-grenades are loaded in. The system can fire grenade in all directions to provide a smoke screen for the tank.

The laser scanning defence network uses a aerosal system of the grenade system to show all visible lasers then they are tracked until the aerosal blows away. The spray also allows for the tracking of lasers, and also causes them to miss thier target and send back incorrect information.

Shells:

The Panzer One can use a wide variety of shells for various weapons to do different jobs. The shells range from SCRAM-JET rounds to tracer rounds for a machine gun.

[

Cannon:

SCRAM-JET Depleted Uranium Discarding Round Sabot Detonation Shell
The only shell here that needs an explanation is the SJDUDRSDS[Sudurede as nick-named]. The SJDUDRSDS uses a scram-jet to propell it to hyperly sonic speeds. The Detonation shells micro computer checks quickly if there are any ERA explosives and then explodes within a nanosecond or so rendering ERA useless. Then the depleted uranium sabot penetrates the armour like a hot knife through butter.

SCRAM-JET Shell
Discarding Round Sabot Shell
High Explosive Anti Tank Shell
Depleted Uranium Shell
Spread-Shot Shell

Rotary Gun:

Armour Piercing
Standard Hollow Tip
Tracer
Incedinary

]

CIWS:

The Lexan CIWS serves an anti-projectile and anti-infantry weapon. The system uses a high-powered air blast to launch it out of the system. The system can follow anything any of the tanks main sensors can see, and it has its own thermal imaging system along with a basic millimetric wave radar to keep track of all projectiles. The systems explosive is powerful enough to take out infantry, and even anti-tank missile systems. Being about the size of the laser pod it is about the same looking. Also it confuzes enemies what is the CIWS and the laser system, either way, together they can stop up to 3-6 projectiles at once. It uses an explosive device that is a powerfully compact plastic explosive and explodes when within a certain range, or on contact.

Other:

The Panzer One has computer controled pod of three lasers. The lasers are capable to track incoming missiles and then predict the path. The laser pod then selects one of the three lasers to burn the missile, so it will explode and not damage the tank.

The crew compartment has room for 6 clips for the W-3[P90 compliant] and three W-3s[P90 compliant]. The treads are one in five chances of being cleeted, the rest are rubber, making it easy to use on roads. The tread is over 30 feet long and not rather hard to maintain. The treads are over 25CM wide and make it easy to turn, yet displace the weight properly.

the Nation of Kaptaingood has no heavy armour MBT to current provide ground defence.

The nation of Kaptaingood would be interested in pruchasing the price license and maintain to manufacture these vehicles.

Alternatively we would like to purchas 5,000 units staged over 5 years delivery, plus training in the use and maintainence of these vehicles, plus 10 years supply of spare parts, replacement gun barrels, track and motors. for base and field repair.

We can begin negotiations on receipt of a legitimate quotation.

great unit, bit underprices, the abrams costs about 20m per unit, and the leapard A2m5 (?) costs about 7.5M per unit, but who am I to complain.

the only thing I'd sugggest is variants and a groovy picture helps.

tank recovery, command vehicle etc.

Also you might want to do something different from most other sales shops and offer service and maintanence contracts?

cheers

Roach Busters: Order refused, it would max out our production faculties.

Lachenburg: Order confirmed, expect shipment in one year.

Kaptaingood: The price will be rather high for all the services, I estimate 50 billion dollars. Order will be shipped as scheduled and the trainers will be flown to Kaptaingood, if you agree.

OOC: I thought the Abrams costed 3-6 million dollars to construct? Anyways I have a large surplus of all materials used on this vehicles so I can lower prices by many times over.

This actually is a price break for us, as with inflation, the final 12 billion would be worth something like 6 to 8 billion in todays money depending on the rate of inflation.

I know Australia is paying about 18 million per unit for reconditioned Abrams A1s (plus 10 years of spares), many defence personel wanted the Leopard 2A5 which is almost all field tests pansed the brit crap and was on par with the abram A2, which was quoted at 15 to 25 million depending how we wanted it spared.

also the quantity we were purchasing was low (50)

tanks are pretty useless for fighting In australia, and more useful for deployment O/S so they aren't really a big concern for us, just to keep our skills up.

we have only 1 tankie Bn (1 armd regt).

OOC: 1. nice tank

2. i will probably look into purchasing some at a later date(with modifications to specs)

3. M1 Abrams do NOT cost 20million. The cost for ONE, Fully operational M1 is $4,300,000. This information is taken from www.FAS.org, a very good site. Information on M1 at http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m1.htm

4. You may want to look at the power of that engine, to be going at 45MPH is pushing it at 83.2 Tons and 1900HP, you coulod do with either a lower speed, or a better engine to keep that up. Also, range is exagerated rather, a tank of that weight, at that speed etc would not do 700km(if i am correct). Your engine is using a LOT of power, and therefore lots of fuel, lol.

sorry I was talking AUD we are paying about 10million per unit AUD for the M1A1 (sorry about that).

the price includes spares, transporters, ceramic plating, supply and lifetime support (adding USD$3 per unit from a purchase prices of about USD$4.5 million per unit)

we were quoted about 2* for a similar deal for brand spankin' new tanks that the US army is getting as opposed to refitted M1A1s...

if you want to re-arm my ground forces, go ahead (actually, wait for me to approve the price first). Torkiv Island's ground forces are extremely outdated, WW2-era and viet nam-era vechiles are extremely common. infantry weapons, our air force, and our naval are all (mostly) modern-day tech level, though.

my defense budget is around 2.6 trillion, so I'd say I'm willing to spend up to 800 billion(about a third of my defense budget) on upgrading my ground forces. there are currentely about 10 million people in the Torkiv Ground Forces (I took 3% of my population and divided by 3).
