This is a list of the many terrorist organizations in Nationstates. The list is subject to grow and changedue to the fact that many peoples shall try to use violence to achieve their ends. This list is so that the governments of the world have a large database on terrorist organizations in this game, for RP purposes, and so that people can actually see your organization.

NOTE: If this organization is only for special circumstances(such as only on one of the "Earths", or in a historical RP like the 1880 RP, World War II RP, etc, or if it no longer exists), please put so in parenthesis besides your groups name.

Also, this list is arranged by the countries name, not the name of the terrorist organization. That will be next to the countries name.

The Restore Sarzonia Task Force:

An organization that aims to overthrow President Mike Sarzo; enact isolationist policies; and eliminate civil rights, especially gay rights. They kidnapped Sarzo, then former Vice President for Defense Terrence Wilson staged a coup. A coalition including Isselmere, Hamptonshire and Pacitalia staged a search and rescue that freed Sarzo, captured Wilson, and restored Sarzo to power. The ensuing firefight seriously weakened the organization, but remnants of it exist and are back to planning.

They are trying to kill all vampires in Wolf America but are having a hard time at it.

The Heart of Armaggedon(sometimes known as the Red Tide Mafia).

This is more of a Mafia than a terrorist orginesation but terrorist blackmail is one of the buisnesses they engage in. They sometimes cut deals with the Red Tide goverment and corporations. They also control 60% of the black market inside Red Tide(the other 40% is controlled by the Corporations and Goverment(yes thats right... the goverment)).

This group is openly trained and funded by the Arabislam government and makes up most of the Arabislam armed forces.

Three states in the northeastern part of Euroslavia who are bent on seceding from Euroslavia itself, and forming their own nation.

Guerrillistani Jihad, successor of the former GLA Terrorists

The Pirates of the Bloody Sea, pretty large and well armed guerilla group using their naval supremacy over the non-existent Madnestanian fleet to rob merchant ships. They can be called a terrorist organisation as they have some kind of political program and "plan" about how to rule the state if they ever manage to succes in their coup d'etat. Mostly just robbing peaceful ships.

Doomingsland:

Doomingsland Vengeance Army (DVA)-

Group of renegade ex-military and tribesmen bent on fighting the nation's wars their own way. Doesn't officialy have government support, but, then again, no one ever bothers cracking down on them, or even prevent the sale of arms to them.

Doomingsland Peoples' Militia (DPM)-

Underground communist movement bent on toppling the Imperial government. Mostly wiped out in Imperial 'Purification Campaigns' (i.e., nuking and gassing large chunks of land suspected of harboring them), but what few members it still has are well armed, trained and extremely dangerous.

Fist of God/Holy Crusader Legions-

Catholic terrorist organization that goes around blowing up mosques, temples, and pretty much every non-Catholic thing in the country, shooting up people they deem to be heretics or infidels. They also operate in foreign countries upon occasion. Doesn't officialy have government support, but, then again, no one ever bothers cracking down on them, or even prevent the sale of arms to them. The Emperor has been known to dip into his own private fund to assist in their cause quite frequently, however.

Multiple Terrorist Groups in Leafanistani Territories

Red Brigade - Communist Terrorist Group killed national leaders son, multiple senators, dozens of soldiers, responsible for starting the Jerobian Civil War, and the Saharistan War.
Hand of God Legion - Radical Christian Group, declared the province of Ki'rth'ar on the planet Harvest an independent "Eden". Leafanistani Oribital Drop Shock Troopers are putting down the insurrection as we speak.
Global Jihad - originated in the now non-existant (RP-wise) Saharistan, funded by what remains of the dictator's former bank accounts.
Necrosoldats - Believed to be teenagers who took the "goth" stuff too seriously. Though dark arts are reported as part of their weaponry, this is just confusion tactics used by them, the government says they are a minor danger.

Halberdgardia -- Global Jihad (the same group mentioned by Leafanistan) sleeper cells are believed to exist in Halberdgardian territory in the former country of Saharistan.

Using funds stashed away by former Saharistani dictator Musab al Zaraqwi in various bank accounts around the world, they have two goals: in the short-term, they seek to terrorize Saharistan War Coalition forces and drive them out of the country, much like the insurgency in Iraq. In the long-term, they seek to re-form Saharistan as a fundamental Islamic state, and from there, gain international support for a worldwide fundamental Islamic jihad against all infidels.

It is suspected that Global Jihad is being supported by other fundamental Islamic states, who aim to spread the movement worldwide. The Halberdgardian government neither confirms nor denies the presence of Global Jihad cells in Halberdgardia itself.

The terrorist organisation in GMM are the AIL (Atarian Independance League). They want independance for Ataran Island located to the East of GMM in the Manucian Sea. Ataran Island became a Manucian colony about 2 hundred years ago as Ataran was once an empire consisting of the North Eastern part of GMM which at the time was part of greater Caladonia. Long story short GMM became independant after the fall of Greater Caladonia they reclaimed the land in the North East. Then after some years they colonised and eventually took over Ataran Island, which is now an important stop of for the Empires trade ships to refuel and stock up on supplies etc.

Perhaps you should make a global catagory for multinational terrorist organizations which have no clear home base in any country.

In Snake Eaters, we have a number of terrorist networks, however the most pressing is the S.L.F, or Snake Liberation Front.

Name: Narodna Odbrana
Scope: Transnational
Base of Operations: Ruling cabal located somewhere in NSEarth Central Asia; rumoured to be the force behind the yakuza/zaibutsu-dominated PMT puppet government currently in power in TLE Japan (literary genre: "dark future").

Comments: In Serbian, "Narodna Odbrana" means "Defence of the People"; also known to history as "The Black Hand". Founded early in the 20th Century by members of the Serbian government for the purpose of subverting the Austro-Hungarian Empire, this group survived the Great War (which it started by assassinating Archduke Francis Ferdinand and his wife Sophie in Sarajevo in the summer of 1914). Over the next 80 years it survived another world war and two civil wars (as well as efforts by Josip Broz [better known to history as Marshall {and later President} Tito] to stamp it out. By the end of the civil war of the 1990's, it had evolved into an underworld organization with tentacles throughout Eastern Europe, Central, South and Southwest Asia, and the Far East.

Today the organization bears only a passing resemblance to the nationalist group that gave rise to it; indeed, it has expanded rapidly in the last dozen years by recruiting heavily among non-Arab Muslims and other Asian ethnic groups. While it remains Serbian-run for now, in the next generation the mantle of leadership will probably pass to others - but such is the way of all criminal syndicates.

What makes Narodna Odbrana truly dangerous - above and beyond its amoral ruthlessness - is its utterly mercenary outlook on life. The only "people" it seeks to "defend" are its own ranks. Worse, it prefers manipulation, subterfuge, and corruption (especially corruption) over terrorism to achieve its goals, although it certainly is not past terrorism if that serves its purposes.

Having no national territory, this group exists entirely underground, ignoring borders and spreading its influence everywhere. Of late, however, it has apparently been seeking to establish puppet governments here and there. Some experts believe this is the prelude to a power play, but others simply note that there are some things that can not be readily done without a "safe haven" or "National base" of some sort. Should this group manage to secure such a base (as some believe has happened in TLE Japan), its ability to infiltrate and corrupt societies everywhere will be greatly strengthened.

Base of Operations: Unknown; some believe it to be on a hitherto undiscovered planet, some say inside the Hollow Earth, some say in another dimension. Some say, no ... I've said too much ... fnord.

Comments: Feared by ranchers and herdsmen everywhere, the Cult of Cattle Mutilators is renowned in tabloids worldwide for its inexplicable and senseless slaughter of happy, contented, and completely innocent bovines. Not easily classifiable in normal technological terms (not that the word "normal" can ever really be applied to these crazed lunatics), their technology is a bizarre cross between 19th and 24th Centuries: zeppelin-shaped U.F.O.'s (or maybe space-going zeppelins, who's to say), lightning weapons, cattle prods (you expected something different) and adamantine ritual blades that can be drawn in the blink of an eye with murderous intent from the black, voluminous robes they are said to wear (by those who've seen them and lived to tell the tale - usually some young teenage couple interrupted while making out in the hay-strewn flatbed of a Chevy pickup truck). It is unknown if they are human, alien, half-lizard hybrids, or something even worse (consult the Weekly World News (http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/) for the latest theories); no one has ever gotten a good look (including those hormonally-challenged teenagers).

Tech Level: WS (Weird Science: anything that might be found in a 30's vintage pulp magazine, a cheesy sci-fi movie, or the tabloids. Effectiveness is nowhere near FT or even PMT levels; treat as equal to MT in firepower [doesn't the Army always find a way to win in those pathetic Roger Corman flicks, anyway?!?])

Wow...this is outdated...get rid of all the terrorist organizations listed under me and replace them with Manus Dei.
