Leonid Brezhnev stepped into his office in the Kremlin. He sat down at his desk, and yawned. He glanced over and, seeing the ever present red phone on his desk, remembered what he had intended to do. Yawning again, Brezhnev reached over and picked up the phone.

“Anja, connect me to President Bauer of Yugoslavia.”

“Yes, Mr. General Secretary.”

Brezhnev waited for the distinct click, and a few seconds later he heard an answer.

“Jack, it’s Leonid. Remember the conference we were talking about last week? Are you still up for it?"

"Not right now I'm...having a...screw it, I'll be there in like 10 hours."

"Right, excellent. don't worry about whatever it was you were doing. You always enjoy yourself in the Motherland."

Brezhnev hung up, and picked up a second phone.

"Anja, me again. I need some Vodka and hookers for a conference in ten hours."

"Yes, Mr. General Secretary."

Brezhnev hung up again and leaned back. Being in charge of a nuclear superpower wasn't such a bad deal.

"Well, Mr. President, our military modernization appears to be going on schedual. You won't believe how far behind in the field of armor we got because of 'Nam."

"No, I believe it. Anything else?" replied President Richard Nixon.

"Well, some party members have noticed the Dem's might have some campaign info lying around at the Watergate Hotel next week during their convention."

"And?" he replied. He knew where this was going.

"They'd like your permission to go in, and, err, take a look at it."

"No, damn it, the country's in bad enough shape as it is. We don't need another God damned fiasco on our hands."

"Fair 'nuff, sir."

OOC:Muahahaha, you see where I'm going with this, don't ya?

The plane made a safe landing at the private airport and Bauer walked down onto the tarmac.

A group of Dinosaurs (Elite soldiers) escorted the man into a nearby building where a limo pulled up. Bauer climbed inside to find a strange man there.

"Hell Bauer."

"Are you a new assistant."

"An assistant to your death."

The man drew a small blade and lunged at Bauer. He slid acrtoss the seats to the left and grabbed the man's arm as he went by. He twisted the arm backwards and forced the knife out of his hand. Bauer drew his pistol and put it right to the mans head.

"Who do you work for!?"

"Your mother!"

Bauer grabbed a nearby hand towel from the mini-bar and wrapped it up with one hand. He smushed it down the man's throat and handcuffed him to the opposite seat.

The ride took a while, but it was better for Bauer. As they got there he walked over and ripped the towel out of the man's mouth. Along wiht it cmae his stomach lining.

Bauer walked out of the car and threw the bloody towel to a guard "Clean it up."

The car pulled up in front of a large hotel, and halted in a designated area. A valet opened the door, and a government official dressed in a sharp military uniform complete with a furry Russian hat greeted Bauer.

"Good evening, Mr. Bauer. Welcome to Moscow. Please, follow me."

The official led Bauer and his men into the building. After an elevator ride to the top floor, they reached a corridor with a single door at the end. The official led the party to the room, unlocked it, and opened the door.

"Here is your room, sir. The General Secretary will contact you shortly."

The official and his furry Russian hat departed.

"That was a damn nice hat." Bauer then walked over to the television and went to the late night section.

Secretary Brezhnev eyed the others around the long conference table in a secure room below the Kremlin. Special KGB guards lined the walls, and men in both Russian and Yugoslavian Republican uniforms were seated.

“Gentlemen, you know as well as I that times are changing. Our armies are the strongest in the world, and every day a new people succeed in revolution to join our great global cause. With our help, there is no doubt in my mind that, in one decade, we can achieve the dream of a red Earth.”

He took a moment to let that sink in.

“It is my belief that in order to do this, however, we must strike hard and quickly, and give the west little time to react. The west is apprehensive. The thought of World War 3 frightens them. The United States still reels from the defeat in Vietnam. Their people are bruised and content to allow us to do as we please. The opportunity is now. General Kuskov will explain further.”

A man in a military uniform emblazoned with the hammer and sickle spoke up.

“Our armies are indeed the world’s greatest force, and they itch for battle. Along the western border we have twenty full armored divisions gassed and ready to go. Combine that with the thirty-two infantry divisions in the eastern motherland, and the reserve units, and we could conceivably conquer Europe tomorrow with little thought.”

Brezhnev spoke again.

“Gentlemen, weapons unused are useless weapons. This philosophy has served me well throughout my life, being my guiding light in our arms deals to our Comrades in Africa and the far-east. Now this must guide us more than ever. We must hit quickly, before the west can react with their nuclear weapons, though I believe they will hesitate to use them. If we begin our mobilization now, we shall reach the sea by May.

But our military minds are not the only ones turning. No, our research divisions have been working round the clock to develop and improve our weapons and technology. While I cannot reveal the extent of their machinations here, I must say that certain developments are highly…exciting.

So, President Bauer, what say you? Will the republic join us in our crusade? Will you be a part of the greatest undertaking since man dared breach the atmosphere in search of the cosmos? Will you help us to crush the west and liberate the peoples of the world, unite them under the red banner of the Soviet Union and her allies? What say you!?”

"I say that's a very foxy secretary you have. But getting to buisness. Why should I? I would love to help you, but why should I? We have a powerful army, but due to our small nations size we are immediatly cast aside as being a competitor. Unless you can offer serious land and an iron-clad alliance that won't destroy us, then I can't. But if you can, USSR will find it's greatest ally right next door."
