As it stands, we make use of the Tyrandis ACM (modified to use caseless ammunition), and it has proven itself to be an incredibly versatile and useful weapon. However, we wish to see if anyone (perhaps even Tyrandis itself) can possibly outdo it.

As such, post your entries, and the winner will be rewarded with a contract to produce Axis Nova's new standard assault rifle.

The CAR-24 is an all new carbine/assault rifle built to use the old 6.62mm ammuniton which was designed for the the FC-57 or the all new (cased or caseless) 6.66mm rounds. The hollow
point, full metal jacket or teflon coated armor piercing rounds are more powerful and accurate than a NATO 5.56mm or russian 5.45mm round but smaller than the NATO 7.62mm and the TPM 11mm. This means each soldier can carry more ammuniton at less wieght. The carbine version is shorter and can use a folding or collapsable butt stock, and a new
M203X 40mm grenade launcher is an option for both versions. Of course a sling, a removable muzzle suppressor (scilencer), 0-4x scope, laser dot, and
TAC light, anumber of sights can be added
and scopes, as well as a bipod and a foward grip.
A 7.4 inch extra-long M-9 bayonet is free w/ purchase.

Phoenix Dynamix stopped manufacturing the original FC-57 variants quite some ago, but due to the effectiveness of the 6.62mm round, we have decided to remanufacture these rifles. Of course we have decided to make vast improvements over the original design. The rate of fire has been greatly increased with an entirely new action. A rail system and removable handguard has been added. The 20mm "grenade" launcher has been improved as well and is easier to remove. As with the original versions,
The 20mm grenade launcher fires either HE(High Explosive) or HEAT(High Explosive Anti Tank) shells, which are really more anti-light vehicle and anti-material than anti-tank, but they share design componets with the anti-tank round of the same name. The assault rifle uses the FC 6.62mm hollow point or teflon coated armor piercing rounds which can be brass cased or explosive matrix enclosed.
Scilencers, a number of sights, laser devices, tac lights, a sling, bayonet and other accesories can be attached easily.
