Liebermonk

OOC: To better understand, I must first explain that Lerathen is President of all of Liebermonk's citizens, however is only Queen of the 5% of the population that are Elves.
As President and Queen Lerathen awoke from her bed, she walked out to her balcony to get a breath of fresh air. The marble floor felt cold on her feet as she crossed her room. She reached for the brass handle on her glass doors to the balcony and opened it feeling the breeze across her face. The artificial atmosphere on Liebermonk's asteroid colony on Ida made the sunlight glimmer with such amazing colors during sunrise. The skies were a bright purple-pink that morning. Blinded for a slight second she covered her eyes to see the city. People amassed around the Presidential Home cheered upon the sight of her. She never meant for the people to flock to her like this when she decided to run for President. However her caring for her citizens and work to provide a strong, stable economy had resulted in sheer fanaticism for her by her citizens. They would praise her by her home before work, and many would look upon that as a sign of good luck for the day.
As President and Queen Lerathen returned into her room she asked James into her room. "Hey James, could you please get me something to drink. I'm dying of thirst." By this time in her presidency, Lerathen and her assistant James have gotten so comfortable around eachother, that they no longer saw the need for formality in their speech.
"Yes I will, do you want tea or coffee to wake you up?" His British accent had slightly weakened with all his time in Liebermonk. Lerathen was not sure where he originally came from, only that the people in his lands had British accents.
"Oh, and please get me the morning paper, too. I didn't get a chance to see yesterday's and I want to see whats happening in Liebermonk in general." James nodded and left the room. Lerathen sat on the edge of her bed and thought about her people and how she could not stand the thought of another person taking her job in a few years. Then it hit her. She would announce herself as Queen of all citizens in Liebermonk. It sounded a bit selfish, yes, but she loved all her citizens and would care for them all the same.
She ran out her room still in her nightgown to her office to begin writing a speech to the Parliament. They loved her just as well as all Liebermonkians, it would take little more then a few well placed words.

With great enthusiasm the Parliament applauded her speech and quickly began the legislation. They wanted to have the vote before the session ended that day. The stadium like auditorium was abuzz with noise and debates on how to properly grant power to her. Too much power would lead in the end of their own jobs; they wished to retain a balance. It was decided that they would give up some power, also for Liebermonk to revert to a Democracy upon her death until a proper replacement was found.
The crowning ceremony was set to take place in three days, and all national leaders and reperesentatives were invited. A great party would take place afterwards which would take place in the tradition of two days, ending at midnight of the last day.
Please, come join us in this event. Respond if you please to show (RSVP).
