The Glorious Crowning of Lerathen (party, too!)

OOC: To better understand, I must first explain that Lerathen is President of all of Liebermonk's citizens, however is only Queen of the 5% of the population that are Elves.

As President and Queen Lerathen awoke from her bed, she walked out to her balcony to get a breath of fresh air. The marble floor felt cold on her feet as she crossed her room. She reached for the brass handle on her glass doors to the balcony and opened it feeling the breeze across her face. The artificial atmosphere on Liebermonk's asteroid colony on Ida made the sunlight glimmer with such amazing colors during sunrise. The skies were a bright purple-pink that morning. Blinded for a slight second she covered her eyes to see the city. People amassed around the Presidential Home cheered upon the sight of her. She never meant for the people to flock to her like this when she decided to run for President. However her caring for her citizens and work to provide a strong, stable economy had resulted in sheer fanaticism for her by her citizens. They would praise her by her home before work, and many would look upon that as a sign of good luck for the day.

As President and Queen Lerathen returned into her room she asked James into her room. "Hey James, could you please get me something to drink. I'm dying of thirst." By this time in her presidency, Lerathen and her assistant James have gotten so comfortable around eachother, that they no longer saw the need for formality in their speech.
"Yes I will, do you want tea or coffee to wake you up?" His British accent had slightly weakened with all his time in Liebermonk. Lerathen was not sure where he originally came from, only that the people in his lands had British accents.
"Oh, and please get me the morning paper, too. I didn't get a chance to see yesterday's and I want to see whats happening in Liebermonk in general." James nodded and left the room. Lerathen sat on the edge of her bed and thought about her people and how she could not stand the thought of another person taking her job in a few years. Then it hit her. She would announce herself as Queen of all citizens in Liebermonk. It sounded a bit selfish, yes, but she loved all her citizens and would care for them all the same.
She ran out her room still in her nightgown to her office to begin writing a speech to the Parliament. They loved her just as well as all Liebermonkians, it would take little more then a few well placed words.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With great enthusiasm the Parliament applauded her speech and quickly began the legislation. They wanted to have the vote before the session ended that day. The stadium like auditorium was abuzz with noise and debates on how to properly grant power to her. Too much power would lead in the end of their own jobs; they wished to retain a balance. It was decided that they would give up some power, also for Liebermonk to revert to a Democracy upon her death until a proper replacement was found.
The crowning ceremony was set to take place in three days, and all national leaders and reperesentatives were invited. A great party would take place afterwards which would take place in the tradition of two days, ending at midnight of the last day.
Please, come join us in this event. Respond if you please to show (RSVP).
Lerathen paced back and forth her office. The ceremony was only a few days away, and only one guest has agreed to arrive! There was food for thousands, but it appeared only Liebermonkians would be there. Perhaps it was the location. She could move it to Earth if it would be easier. Thats it, that's what she would do. The Castle Liechtenstein would be a great place. The spacious ballrooms, the comfortable living areas, and the huge kitchen would allow for such a party to take place. As she though of it, she realized that Castle Liechtenstein would be the location for her Earth throne. Yes, everything would work out perfect if she moved to there.
"Good, I'm finally happy with the location. James! Could you please call the caterers, we're going to move the party."
"To where? Isn't it a bit late to change, what of the guests?"
"Which guests? We only have one confirmation. Besides, I would much rather prefer Castle Liechtenstein. Please do this for me, It will mean so much to me."
"Yes, my Queen."
"Oh, and one more little thing...."
"What is it Lerathen?"
"Could you send out new invitations with the new location."
"Now on to the dress," she though to herself as her British-sounding aide walked out of the room. She sat on her desk and began flipping through the many sketches that had been sent to her. All the dress-makers in Liebermonk wanted to be the one that would make the Queen's Coronation dress.
So many things to take care of, and so little time. Lerathen wanted to have the perfect party, but not everything has been going exactly as she planned. Lerathen would tackle every problem after another until the evening arised in which she would become the most powerful woman in Liebermonk.
"That seems simple and to the point" James murmered to himself. "All I need to inform is the slight change in location. Ha! Slight change. Lerathen is being quite picky about this party. I can not wait until it is over with. Then I can get back to day-to-day work."
He slipped the letters into the post-office outgoing mail bin for all nations to recieve.
Vrak: Any person from a fellow Klatchian nation is welcome.
As Queen Lerathen walked back to her bedroom, she could see the sun setting over Ida. The dark purples and blues gave Liebermonkian citizens a sense of closure for their day. She opened the doors to her room to find many women there waiting.
"Our Queen! Such an honor to be in your presence!" Many began to bow to her. However Lerathen would not stand for that. She saw herself and her citizens as equals.
"Stand up, stand up! Why are you all here? I was expecting anyone."
"Your dress! We're here to make your dress. Now stand over here.. and mvoe your arm like this..." The many dressmakers began working furiously. Lerathen was caught up in the movment with great surprise, however she remained poised.
An hour later it began to take its final effect. A bright purple with soft red undertones that seemed to shimmer in such a way that one could not help but stare. Everything was coming together for the ceremony, and it was only two days away.
OOC: Fluid time here. The minister now left North Germania and is due to arrive shortly.
IC:
The jet left North Germania and winged its way to Liebermonk. After receiving the decision from the Reichschancellor, the Minister transmitted it to his office where, most certainly it will be analyzed by the spooks in the VIS, or known in English as the Vrak Intelligence Service.
He hrumphed as he inched his bulk into a more comfortable position and casually flipped through the information on the newest arrival in the FKC. He quietly thought to himself.
A coronation? Ah, this should be more…relaxing. Queen Lerathen? What a beautiful name.
As Queen Lerathen stood on her balcony, she watched all the people working below. Gardeners furiously poured potting soil around flowers, party proffesionals quickly set up tents and tables, and cooks carefully put food on the tables immediately after they were set up. Despite all the work being done, the courtyard was far from ready. At least a day's worth of work was left, and they had little under 8 hours until guests began arriving. The next 8 hours would be hectic, Lerathen realized. She wished to be down there helping her fellow Liebermonkians, but she was busy preparing herself. She returned to her room and walked to her bathroom. Slipping into a warm bath, she thought of the night, and all the wonderful people who she could have a chance to socialize with.
The crown was placed upon Lerathen's head after she stated her promises to Liebermonk. She was now Queen of all the lands within her nation, Earth and space. It was all perfect for her, for everything she ever wanted was within her grasp now. She almost felt drunk with power, but realized it and fixed it before she grew too reckless. She had responsibilities to more than just herself. She had to take care of almost 1.8 billion people. Her will, was their life.
