Hyperbia

Surveying the strange land in front of him Commander Whatley barked orders at his men as they constructed a makeshift transmitter. Taken by the military over 100 years ago and lost in the coup of Tasth for 90 years, this device was, according to the captured, used to communicate with something called "base camp". Intrigued by their hardiness the new government wishes to make contact with this unknown home of the interlopers and maybe contact their reviered "base camp".
Commander Whatley took the strange mouth piece of the device and issued forth the strange language of the interlopers.

<Ahem> Hello, hello, is anyone out there? Is this base camp?
<What? How should I know if its working or not! Be quiet, I'm trying to use this confounded thing.>
The People of Hyperbia send forth their greetings to all who recieve this message. We are supprised to see that others have survived the Chak'Nortal. We are sad to announce the loss of your expedition, we did not encounter them until after the Wendigo had taken them. Their bodies have been preserved and we are willing to return them to you for whatever funeral rites you preform. We will continue to monitor this channel for several days and look forward to hearing from you.

Their small makeshift shelter offered little protection against the Wendigo but the strange creature, they were told, could supply them for ample sustinance for their stay here. Commander Whatley stared at the device waiting for a reply, he was unsure of the range of the radiation the device emmited but he hoped he would hear something soon. He wanted to return to the warmth of Tasth's great plaza, their protein shake vendors, and the bed of this life-partner Samantha.
OOC: This through a radio taken from a 'lost' anarctic expedition around the early 1900s, it was amplified and should reach most of the southen hemisphere.
Pm me if you wish to claim this expedition and I will work it in.
