Coup De'tat in Angbhand

Angbhand

Three sleek black limosuines cruised down the dry, dusty street. Empty buildings loomed ominously on both sides of the street, the shattered windows staring blankly out across the bleak landscape. A few dejected citizens shuffled about, moving between their tasks out of habit. Hope that things would get better had long ago drained from their features. The vehicles continued on towards the Government Palace.

As the limosuines pulled up, an escort of twenty elite guards surrounded the limosuine, their Kalashnikov and and AK-74 SKS rifles levelled menacingly outward, ready to protect their leader. As the dictator of Angbhand emerged, a shout went up from a small group of protesters that had coalesced in front of the palace. Armed guards quickly broke up the gathering with bursts from their assault rifles. The Dictator barely noticed, and proceeded to climb the stairs towards the Palace proper.

After eight years of scheming, Ahkmed ibn Rashid had finally succeeded in ousting the previous regime and seized power.

A new age in Angbhand's scarred history had begun.
