"Governor, we've got trouble in Uraguay" said the aide to Brazilian Governor, Ghomez Haddams

"No we don't" replied the Governor. "I've just been on the phone with Duke Long in New Orleans, seems the organized government of the island of Martinique intends to take Uraguay for its own, RevertRomance is the name they go by. It'll be good to have an organized nation there. These stupid, petty, rival factions constantly at war with each other are driving me crazy. A little order is needed. Send a communication to RevertRomance in Martinique, here's the teletype number ::: handing a slip of paper to the aide :::
Tell them we know where the hold outs are hiding, send 50 Head Rush craft in with full bomb or Napalm loads and take 'em out. Station 5,000 more marines on the border to keep those bastards out of Brazil and airdrop 1,000 of the Black Berets into the major hot spots, special ops. command one, destroy everything and assist RevertRomance."

"Yes sir" said the aide as he left to send the message.

"Damn good" thought the governor, "finally a neighbor and stability. Maybe another naval power too. Always good to have."

PING, PING, PING bullets seem to be coming from all angles in the heart of the capital as insurgents continue to push inwards and for the first time it seems the enemy has the upper hand.

BAM

"What the hell was that sarge", shouts an private

"It sounds like the Navy is firing on the enemy posit......."BAM

"DEAR GOD i can't see anything sarge!!!!!! theres dust everywere", shouts another private

(close fire support with 18 inch navy guns)

Main while in an another part of the city 5,000 Infantry find themselves in a fiece firefight

By this time it seems as if the intire city has risen up against the invaders seeing as how the Nationlists seem to be literally pouring out of nowhere

"Fire!!!!!!".................the faint sound of an explosion and than yell

The Infantry Brigade was glad it had brung the 2 mortars dispite there weight, as long as they could hold there position by the commerical district they could hope to capture the city hall by the end of the day. More important than the moral change this would bring to the troops it was quite obvious the area would serve as an excellent HQ for this operation and if they could clear the area long enough maybe some KC-10s could air drop some equiptment during the night. But it wasnt to say simply taking the city hall would end this fight............BAM (more naval guns)

night fall...........an eriee silence with an shot ringing out every minute or so.

The naval guns had stoped as some of the shots had came a bit too close (10 dead, 15 wounded

With this eriee silence the commander of 1st Infantry Division (the ones that got shelled ealier in the day) decided it was now or never. If he was gonna push the Nationlists back now would be the perfect time, when there asleep and offgaurd. The word, "bayonets" is heard being passed along the ranks as well as, "check your ammo, select fire". By this time the men had began to run low on ammunition 2 days of fierce fire fighting had taken there tolls on the men, espically after one of the Baracudas took an RPG to the tower. It had to be escorted back home.

The order was finally given, "move" He wispered. "Keep quite"

2,000 men silently but quickly ran through the streets, the risistence, light at best, was over welmed in a second, most ran at the sheer sight of a couple thousand baoynets. RUNNING, RUNNING, FASTER, FASTER anyone they happend to run into was killed instantly, usally an covert bayonet or knife across the neck. Stealth was the infantrys true weapon. With no time to take prisoners it was EXTREMELY brutal and vicious fighting. Running down the street next to the city hall they were in a position to rush it. The mad dash in the dark had gained the Milatary 2 miles of the city and esitmates came in at over 1,000 enemy dead, 2 prisoners, 50 injured (close arms fire)( and for the intire nights operation). Main while only taking a slick 15 injured and 2 KIAs. However well a position a position the city hall was it fell in short 5 minute fire fight. Revertromance was finally holding the key areas of the commerical and harbor districts the insurgents had began to move backwards realizing the city was being overcame. The two divsions meet up in the morning and supplies eventually met up with them. All that was left was one final BIG FAST push and the city would finally fall to Revertromance. The 2 day seige had been resolved with a swift covert route. Now the breakout could begin........(10 F-35C fly overhead at supercruise 1.7 mach)

Out of the dust cloud, 5 men appeared, dressed in black and wearing berets they said "Come with us!"

"Who the fuck are you?" asked the RevertRomance Sergeant.

"Mauwiwowee, special ops. Come on, use this cloud as cover. Oh, here, you might need this too" Said the soldier as he tossed a

"Where are we going?" said the Sgt. as he caught the gun he had been tossed.

"Courthouse, that's where the leader's hole up. Claim "the law" is on their side, as if they'd know what law was if it bit them in the ass."

Turning, the Black Beret began to snake down twisting back streets.

OOC: I wrote that while you were writing yours, it's in the capital city.

IC:

"By the way, I'm Sgt. Mahrl Burro, the men call me Sarge Donkey and think I don't know it" said the Special Ops. team leader smiling. "the gun's got electronic fire control. The red button is "free fire" the yellow limits you to 10 round bursts, the green to 6 round and the blue to 3. Your bombers hit the courthouse, but the bunker underneath should be accesible, that's where they'll hole up." Turning to another black clad soldier, "Lieutenant, you sure we can get in?"

"No sweat Sarge, they re-inforced the bunker's hidden exit. They won't expect us to come at them that way."

"You heard it, let's go."

The alley opened into a small plaza where the remains of a courthouse sat, using the shadows and the dark, the men advanced.

The battered sergant gets to the courthouse and to his amazingment a group of Black Baret wearing special operation force is standing there.

"Were the hell did you find this guy", shouts the Sergant

"We ran into them about a hour ago" Black Baret

"Great", Sarge stands there dimwittdily

It seems with the capture of this SOB the forces have nearly pull ENTIRELY out of the city, but regardless simply ruling a city isn't going to get the entire nation under Revertromance High Command, There had to be a way to quickly end this damn war........With the capital totally under control thanks to the work of the Black Barets and The 2 Infantry divisions the intire war effort was put towards the country side and the gurillia movement.....A massive movement however was seen towards the Brizilian border up north however.....were they planning.......an counter attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OOC: I got some RL stuff I gotta do. You've got 1,000 highly trained Black Berets at your disposal. They are used to jungle fighting (I mean they are from Brazil you know) and they know the lay of the land and have the intelligence to know what your commander's need to do to secure things quickly. No one will escape into Brazil. I've got a buttload of troops keeping my border secure. Go for it, take over. :D

"Sigh, Leutendient, what is the point of taking this little village it loo.......BAM (RPG through the cockpit not a single person lives ) the Hueys behind the lead copper move out over the village strafing the huts to the point were they simply fall over into a bunch of sticks. Men run out waving guns and are blasted by the 7.62 mm mini-guns and hellfire missles. Coming in towards an landing spot in the center of the town, the men jump out while the mini guns continue to cut down Nationlists.

"MOVE,get into the woods complete your objective were hold them back here!!!!", copper pilot (seconds later bullet wipps past him and hits co pilot) (LZ is HOT)

The 200 men slip into the woods to complete there objective (300 m up trail an insurgent milatant was said to be hiding out in the foothills, if he could be captured alive this could help out the war effort and bring an end to the war)

(OOC: this is in the woods up north 200 miles....lol i know there are like 10 diffrent fronts and battles going on now but.... )

"The foot hills of the mountains, in that very cave theres an SOB with his head up his ass hiding and your gonna fish im out, GO, GO, GO", 2ND Leutendient

Barely near the opening of the cave, and the now farmilar sound of machine guns is heard, suddenly 5-7 men fall mortally wounded, one solder with an garnade launcher attached to his x-8 sharphooter fires into the opening......missed the heavy fire continues and 2 more men fall. The medic gets to them however, but the insurgents in the cave are putting up an hell of an defense. With two more men with garnade launchers taking aim, the success of the enemy machine gunner is short-lived. Marching into the cave the men are alert for booby-traps, and ambushes.

200 feet down the cave an garnade goes off killing the lead man (Private Hillings, Machine gunner) two insurgents are BLOWN out of there positions by Mark 2 garnades and a few more M203 rounds. Making there way to the grand hall they find something interesting......The Nationlists Supreme Commander. Was he dead (syanide caspule spotted near foot)...it seems he was indeed dead (not taking chances hes shot twice to make sure)...yeah hes dead and seemed the rest of his crew had dissapeared into the deeper parts of the tunnel. The men prepare to move out with the plans for the INTIRE resistance movement (Resistance Secret Information) . It seems the Bazilian attack was a bluff!!!! It was actually an attemp to lure out the Revertromance army into an live or die battle at the "juntion" an small field near a meadow near a river juntion. They were planning on bottleing the army up in the area so that the numerical advantaged Revertromance Army would be trapped and eventually overtaken . Than the capitial would be fair game once more. Well lets just see how this final battle goes with this new information (letters found new old ammo dump with lighter and kerosene, seems like the quick route kept them from having time to destroy the papers) This final battle is also live or die for the Nationlists if they were crushed here it'd be over and they know it. However, THIS was the chance the milatary was looking forward to, the break in the aready 2 week long war. This was it!!!!

(OOC: im typing with my glasses busted so if anything doesnt make sense or is spelled wrong give me a break) ill finish this take over in like 5 hours (give me some sleep)

The men report back to the village were Evack is awaiting them

3 Days before the battle:

7,000 Men from the 1st Infantry Division were sent on trains up north to participate in the battle. These were the same men from the Capital but seeing as how the city had fallen 4 days prior, men were suddenly freed up for other ingagements.

7,000 Men from the 2nd Infantry Division were sent afterwards as reinforcements

5,000 Men are air droped from C-130 Gunships 2 miles south of the battle field.
They are to group up with the 1st and 2nd Infantry before going to battle so they may swell their forces

10,000 men are flown in (2nd and 3rd Airborne Divisions) by Hueys and Apaches 4 miles south of the battle field in the town of Durazno (the closest town in the area) to meet up with the C-130 airdroped (4th Airborne) and the 1st and 2nd Infantry

Along with the trains over 50 M1A3 Battle Abrams were sent up a day prior to rondevous with forces

25 Mid Range Howiters were sent on one of the first trains to assist in the attack

All planes were alerted to the area and planes would be ready to scramble on a moments notice (regardless it would take as long as 30 mintues to get to the area)

2 Days before the Battle:

With all men in place and the Airborne now moving towards there positions with the Infantry it seemed as everything was going in order

The 50 Abrams were in place at the town

The 25 Howiters were in place and the crews had just arrived earlier in the morning

CONSTANT fly overs of the area indicated that the enemy force had moved into the area and had begun its defensives (U2 flyovers for stealth)

1 Day before the Battle:

All men (31,000) marched the 3 miles to "The Juntion" and the count down to the attack began.

50 Tanks were waiting with there crews alert up on an overlooking ridge

25 MRHs were set up on the same ridge in PERFECT postion for an cover fire

The Battle:

(OOC: The men are divided into their divisions and are moved accordingly)

(The battle field is a valley with the strongholds (A ridge) on either side and an 200 meter long "valley")

With over 31,000 Infantry and Airborne pacing in there position the time seemed right to attack. 6 AM the order was given for 4th Airborne (far on the left) to advance up the enemy hill with covering fire coming from Revertromances Howiters, as well as for 1st Infantry to follow shortly behind 4th Airborne.

(1st Infantry/4th Airborne)
In minutes over 12,000 men were out of the hillside and charging the Nationlists position. It was an breath takign site but something seemed wrong........no enemy. The men had started crossing the valley and still not an single shot had rang out. The Howiters opened up and were ordered to not stop until the ranks broke over the crest of the hill, this way they could lay an close fire support to give more cover.

The first shell hit the enemy hillside and instantly a cry let out, the battle was off over 70,000 Nationlists jumped uped and took aim!!!!! A hail of bullets hit the first ranks totally knocking them backwards. With 25 pound Howiter shells landing around them however, most Nationlists were soon forced to take cover. Still advancing the 12,000 men finally hit the enemy stronghold. Climbing the hill, the enemy came out to defend their postion despite the storm of fire laid down by the artillery. Seeing the hopelessness of 12,000 against 70,000 the Brigader General (Willings) was forced to make an split second desicion.

In less than 2 minutes the remaining 19,000 men (2nd Infantry, 2nd and 3rd Airborne) rose up from there ranks and charged the hill to assist their comrades, and leading the attack were the 50 Abrams.

With 1st Infantry and 4th Airborne beginning to hit the top of the hill the Artillery had little choice but to change the direction of the attack farther to the right

(This group was attacking the left side, so all fire had been shifted 500 meters down right to keep the Nationlists from flanking)

(1st Infantry/4th Airborne)
With these men now exposed the numerical, yet untrained and undisiplined, Nationlists had chance to fully engage to the Revertromance forces in an all out fire fight at the crest of the hill. However the Divisions soon found to use the stone walls (enemy defenses) against the Nationlists by simply hiding on the other side and poping out to shoot off a quick burst. The enemy had been pushed away from their own defenses had had to resort to laying on the ground or hiding behind trees (at best, in words there in the open).

(2nd Infantry/2nd and 3rd Airborne)
The remaining 19,000 crest the hill to an similar engagement but the diffrence is the enemy were still firmly in their denfenses.......with 19,000 trying to overcome an dug in force of over 30,000 thousand the only choice was to try and route the enemy. Bayonets on, the troops stormed the wall only to be knocked over by machine guns and the frequent hand garnade. Takeing a beating, the group headed forward shooting chaotically to keep heads down.....

Fighting back, hell bent on repelling the attackers, the Nationlists push the attackers back over the wall over the side of the hill, even 2 tanks are blown apart as they fall back. Air strikes are immedaitly called on the hill (napalm charges) but it would be 30 mintues beofre help would arrive) And most coppers were busy trying to take back wounded

(1st Infantry/4th Airborne)
Finally reaching there objective they took the hill only to run into the full force, after they were flanked on the right. With the rest of the attack halted because of fierce resistence this was the only part of the hill captured and over 60,000 Nationlists still stood on this hill.

"Were the hell are the rest of the Divisions they should be 200 meters that way (pointing father west), all im seeing are Nationlists!!!!", shouts an Sargant

"Well," shouts and private/orderly, "It seems that they have been thrown back leaving our flank exposed, should i call an air strike, sir. We are really gonna need some type of support im suggesting gunships"

"Well stop talking about it get on a damn radio and call it up!!!!", Sergant

(20 mintues left til Napalm reaches the area and 30 til the C-130s get there)

(2nd Infantry/2nd and 3rd Airborne)

BAM

The top of another tank is blown clean off be an RPG, the Nationlist had actually started pushing this attack back DOWN the hillside......resisitance was fierce. Finally, with another push up the hill, some of the men managed to rereach the hill top. 3rd Airborne was being split from the main battle group to circle the hill so the Nationlists could not run.

(3rd Airborne)
Running around the hilling taking lite hits from machine gun fire and such they eventually set up an 500 foot line on the backside of this hill, (little to the knowlege of the enemy)

(1st Infantry/4th Airborne)
Having no other choice but to push back the attacks the Divisons began to counter the Nationlists RPGs by simply machine gunning the surrounding tree lines. Eventually the Infantry pushed 50 feet ahead and held long enough for the machien gun squads to set up. Now with support fire and an strong foothold on the hill top, the Nationlists began to fall back father to the right. They simply refused to surrender and fell back, but only after losing enormous casulties. This enemy was different it seemed they would rather die than summit to the new government.

(2nd Infantry/2nd Airborne)
Finally rereaching the hilltop it seemed as if the resistance had been lessened and the area was quickly taken from enemy hands.

(the now 40,000 remaining troops were i nan area 500 meters long and stuck on top of an hill, they have no were to run this is there last battle)

With two attackers coming from diffrent fronts the Nationlists soon found there grip lessoning on the area.

"Look up!!!!".........shouts some private, up head he sees 2 F-35Cs let loose 8 Napalm charges on the highest point on the hill (still under Nationlist control) And the hill top erupts into flames and screams.

Seeing the opertunity the remaining men avance only to be surprised by an C-130 gunship

The gunship lets loose rockets and mini-gun fire in an jaw droping manor....they truly left not one tree standing.....they mini-gunned rank after rank of Nationlists and after 2 minutes left having let loose there rockets and half of there ammunition. Only 20,000 remained (Nationlists) at this point and they broke into an frenzy after the air strikes......having 2 fronts opened up on them they were taking casulties at an insane rate plus the air strikes had injured at least an 1,000 by themselves. Now free to stike BOTH of the fronts further pushed opon the position until nothing was left, 2nd Infantry was just running threw the enemy with bayonets (no ammunition left)

The remaining men ran down the slope only to find 3rd Airborne

(3rd Airborne)
Simply put this was do or die and today, Revertromance was the victor......Machine gunning the escaping Nationlists, barely any even made it to the bottom of the hill only to be shot by the men still on top of the hill...This was truly an sound battle with only a few 1000 remaining the Army had no choice but to take them prisoner. Simply killing thousands of Nationlists (finally surrendering after being near whiped out) would simply look bad for an Democratic nation.

The Day after the Battle:

Revertromance:

Out of 31,000 Infantry, 18,000 came back (truly an hard won battle)

Out of 50 Abrams 45 came back

Out of 25 Howiters not a single gun or gunner was even hit during the ingagement

Nationlists:

Out of over 70,000 less than 5,000 left the valley and the fighting spirit and strength of the movement was crushed

Outcome:

The Revertromance Army had finally won its battle against the Nationlists and 3 days later in the Capitial the offical peace treaty was signed in the crumbling courthouse. The annexation was complete and the 3 week war over, but at an cost of over 200,000 lives and the capital was still half in ruins. The rebuilding of Uraguay had to begin ASAP. However, the grudge between the Nationlists and Revertromance was obviously still there, no peace treaty or offering could erase what happened during those 3 weeks!

Ururguay was now offically part of Revertromance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(OOC: this took like an hour to type so im not taking much more time to spell check it but you ge the point)
