“Good Evening. Tonight, two days after the end of the election and victory for the socialist party, the Chairman of the party, Xavier de Salaberry, announced his Cabinet. Although very similar to his last term’s cabinet, some new additions have been seen, including the controversial Social Works Commissar Francis Lecrois, who is known for his quasi-Stalinist stance on civil liberties and political freedoms. It remains to be seen just how much of an important event this will be.”

"Good evening. Following last week's election, the opposition declared it to be a fraud, even after evidence of the contrary had been presented to the People's Congress. The opposition, together with other conservative fringe parties, declared the country a 'Democratic non-public' and stormed out of the Congress, followed by the represented fringe and independent parties. The countries affairs now unable to proceed, the government response has been to immediately arrest any Congress members who will not return to the People's Congress. Although a majority returned, allowing for renewal of the political machine, a third of the opposition, led by a Jordan Sambros, Shadow Commissar for Defense, took a major city with disillusioned soldiers and claimed it to be under the control of the UCC (united conservative coalition). So far there has been no government comment."
