OOC: This is continuation of the "Peasant Coup" thread, made on the suggestion of DA.

The Presidential Militarized BBJ began flying into Stalingrad Estate. Gordon Lew and his staff, gazing below, could not help but admire the splendor of the area. The lush gardens, the beautiful archetechure, the massive size, it made his President's House look like a log cabin by comparison.

The plane, escorted by MiG-41's, landed in the Airport. Taxing on the runway, it went into a hangar, where it stopped.

Gordon, his bodyguard Jimmy, and Sec. of State Taira Yuna walked out of the plane, into the hangar.

The Czar's Imperial secretary, Oliver Knox was present to greet the arriving delegation at the tarmac.

The rather short (for a Mississippian) man stepped forward and extended his hand as the president was coming down the steps from the plane, he smiled as he said, "Greetings, welcome to Mississippi."

The President shook Knox's hand, bowed, smiled and said, "Good day, sir, and thank you for letting us enter Mississippi. I am Gordon Lew, President of Upper Xen, this is my Secretary of State, Taira Yuna, and this is my bodyguard, James Chang."

Knox smiled back and said, "Follow me, this way. The Czar is currently not well, he is resting, but you will be able to meet with the Czarina for sure, and possibly later the Czar."

Gordon said, "That's fine, a man needs to rest, by all means, let him do so. I don't mind meeting the Czarina, it'll mean we can get some work done."

Gordon and the party followed Knox.

Knox wasn't sure what Gordon meant by that, he'd seen what Curtis considered diplomatic "work" firsthand, and he knew for sure the Czarina would not play that game. He also considered the possibility that the man was suggesting Roger unwilling and incapable of negotiation, he didn't mention either, he just smiled and said, "Yes, yes, this way, we are honored to have you here and look forward to discussions to improve our nation's relations."

Knox wasn't sure what Gordon meant by that, he'd seen what Curtis considered diplomatic "work" firsthand, and he knew for sure the Czarina would not play that game. He also considered the possibility that the man was suggesting Roger unwilling and incapable of negotiation, he didn't mention either, he just smiled and said, "Yes, yes, this way, we are honored to have you here and look forward to discussions to improve our nation's relations."

Gordon said, "Not a problem. I look forward to improving relations between our two nations."

Gordon sensed that Knox thought he was slighting them......by the way he paused for a moment, it seemed he was slightly insulted. Still, he tabled that thought and followed Knox, hoping for no more such misunderstandings.

Knox led the man into the mansion, by the guards on duty, and then into the large room Alice used for occasions of state when she received foreign envoys.

She was seated in the large elevated chair, dressed as a Czarina should be for such matters, her royal scepter firmly in her hand and her crown on her head, her long blonde hair brushed neatly back.


Knox snapped to attention and threw his left arm in the air, shouting, "Hail Czarina!" before he bowed and then went down on one knee, waiting for Alice's voice to call out, "You may rise, Knox. We wish to know who are these others that are before us?"

He nodded his head and quickly rose, then he turned slightly and gestured with his hand towards the delegation, "Czarina, the delegation from Upper Xen has arrived, the honorable President Gordon Lew and his colleagues."

Alice nodded her head a bit, her eyes unflinching, “Yes, it pleases us to speak with them in private, you shall go and inform the Czar of their arrival and see if he will come. If not, we shall speak with them ourselves.”

That said, Knox bowed again, saluted, and politely made his way out of the room, his shoes sounding on the marble floor.

Knox led the man into the mansion, by the guards on duty, and then into the large room Alice used for occasions of state when she received foreign envoys.

Alice smiled, happy and pleased that they were so polite, then she spoke, "Yes, it is indeed an honor for us as well, to be speaking with the leader of a land as powerful and noble as Upper Xen. You may be seated, be comfortable, we have much to discuss."


Alice motioned at some chairs nearby, quite a bit lower in size and elevation than the chair she was in, and the empty chair next to her which was slightly higher (the one Roger would be in if he were in the room). "You must realize that we are most concerned that our best pilot, a one Herman Von Thaller, is still being held in your nation. However we have heard that he is being well treated, and this puts to rest our initial fears that he might be being mistreated. Taira Yuna then said, "In exchange for his repatriation, we will have decided to pursue a policy of trying to create a peaceful diplomatic climate between our two nations. To this end, we ask for a Non-Aggression Pact between us, so that no more fights like the 'High Plains Incident' may happen."

Alice nodded her head, just a bit, hardly moving at all, and replied with a simple, "Yes..." before elaborating as she smiled, "That would be most acceptable to us."

Taira Yuna went, "Understand, this means we will no longer be backing the MFD, which will contribute greatly to improving relations between us. In addition, any troops we have in the Free Republic of Mexico, an ally of ours in the area, will be reduced in number to ensure compliance with such a Non-Aggression Pact, this includes any sort of long-range rockets and strategic bomber capacity. In exchange, we would ask only that Mississippi respect Xenizen airspace, waters, and territory, as well as that of the Free Republic of Mexico."


OOC: The Free Republic of Mexico is not really "free" per se, it is a protectorate of sorts owned by UX. (This is based on the Real NS RL Nation Claims Thread by Phoenix Militia, a basic representation of NS Earth that takes multiple universes into account, just an explanation why I brought Mexico up, there I claimed Mexico, China, Japan, and Hawaii)

Alice covered her mouth with one hand as she held back a yawn, she then looked at the one who had just spoken and nodded her head, "Yes, that will be fine, we find that acceptable to us. Our government will make the official papers that we shall sign shortly."

Gordon said, "We thank you for that. We also wonder if we could normalize trade relations between our two nations, as another sign of good faith."

Alice was actually not sure what to do in regards with trade, that was really something she couldn't just decide on her own, nor did she know what Roger would want her to do. Suddenly the doors of the room were pushed open by SRG guards and they shouted, "Hail Czar!" as Roger, dressed in his Imperial uniform with his "Eagle cap" (the cap with the Imperial Eagle on it) strode gracefully into the room, concealing well the fact that he was exhausted and quite tired.

Gordon nodded and said, "Really? Thank you, your Highness. That is very generous of you. My flight here was quite well, my pilot did make a wrong turn, but we managed to correct that quickly."

Alice whispered, ever so carefully, to Roger, "They wound up in Chile..."

Roger smiled a bit but didn't comment on the matter, slightly amused that their "minor" wrong turn wound them up an entire continent away.


Roger then turned his attentions back to the president as he said, "Ah yes, so you'll be staying the night, wonderful, I'll have a servant show you to your room right away if you'd like. Oh if you would care to later tonight, we'll have having dinner at six."

The room was basically a miniature house, well larger than most peoples house's, with the front room being the one with the ornate oak door and the golden handles. Inside the front room was easily a thousand square feet, with marble flooring and a finely detailed handmade Mississippian Egyptian rug laying down the middle of the floor, leading to the next door, the door to the living room.


Overall the "guest room" (small house) inside the mansion was about six thousand square feet. The bathroom was easily five hundred square feet, with a small marble pool, fashioned in the style of Imperial Rome, serving as the tub.


A large bear rug was placed perfectly in front of the fireplace in the bedroom, and the kitchen had some light snacks stocked in it. More full than the kitchen was the bar which contained an assortment of fine liquors from across the Commonwealth.

Finally worth noting was the balcony, which looked out over the entire rear gardens, giving a clear view of the 500 foot tall hedges that surrounded the 505 foot tall statue of Curtis Fabus, the idea being he was "All-seeing" and able to see over anything, taller than the tallest obstacle. The statue was a gift from "friends from South Africa and Argentina" (Illuminati).

For five minutes, he was like a little kid in a toystore, wandering around, looking around, amazed by the sights and sounds of it all.

Gordon nodded, and got changed into his good suit. He knew that the others would probably be coming, but still, he had to make a good impression on the Czar.

He walked into the mirror, and glanced at his Brooks Brothers suit. He winked and said, "I make this look good."

Then, he washed his face, cleaned up, and went to dinner.

He then calmly relaxed, smiled, and got ready to eat.

One of the field marshals raised his glass in a toast, saying, "To the Czar and the Czarina, and to the Czar's great health."

The others present all raised their glasses as well, while Roger and Alice both smiled as their guests toasted to them.

As everybody started eating, and whispering back and forth to each other the latest news and stories about family, one of the field marshals sitting next to Gordon whispered to him, "Hey, aren't you the leader of Upper Xen, the, hmmm. Mr Lew, yeah, you're him, aren't you?"

He smiled a bit an hesitated, "Say, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you get me a few Type 56 Chinese AK rifles, I have a few kids that have upcoming birthdays and those are quality guns... I'd return the favor if you can think of anything you'd need."

He smiled a bit an hesitated, "Say, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you get me a few Type 56 Chinese AK rifles, I have a few kids that have upcoming birthdays and those are quality guns... I'd return the favor if you can think of anything you'd need."


Gordon went, "Well, I'm sure National Armscorp has a few we don't need, we've moved on to nicer weapons.....we've a bunch from the late 50's-early 60's, before we were ordered to use M16's."

A few minutes later, Roger feeling a bit weak and tired, stood up, frowning, before saying, "You'll all excuse me, I don't feel too well, I'm going to retire early tonight. The Czarina will handle the discussions later tonight at the military conference to be held in the lounge."

That said, Roger quickly left the room.

After dinner, Alice stood up and led the generals into the lounge, where they each sat down in one of the comfortable chairs and had some tobacco (smokeless only, since nobody smokes in the presence of the Czarina, as per orders of the Czar) and a glass of brandy.


After they were all settled in their seats, one of them stood up and setup a large chart that showed recent military production figures.

The Czarina smiled as they were showing the MiG-41 production was up twenty-five percent and would be up two hundred percent in four years.

After dinner, Alice stood up and led the generals into the lounge, where they each sat down in one of the comfortable chairs and had some tobacco (smokeless only, since nobody smokes in the presence of the Czarina, as per orders of the Czar) and a glass of brandy.

Gordon sat in, with his glass of brandy, watching the scene. Indeed, this military machine was no joke, it could produce a lot of planes and high tech war machines.....good thing they had a Non-Aggression Pact in the works.

Gordon nodded, and continued to look at the scene attentively.

The next general was an air force commander, he pulled out a map, a map of Gibraltar, pointing to it as he said, "See here, we could easily neutralize the entire fleet garrison by surprise attacks launched from these avenues of approach, flying in under their radar screen and using minisubs to help neutralize any ships that try to escape the attack... This of course would be a last resort though, if Sevaris ever threatens to close the straits to us..."

Gordon then nodded, and sighted a particularly large elephant, it looked docile, and it generally seemed to be not much of a threat. He then motioned for Curtis to aim for the elephant he picked out, whispering to Curtis: "Get ready....."

Then, Gordon sighted his gun, zeroed the sights, and aimed for the elephant's head....
