Newly made Captain Ford was a kind, generous, warm hearted man. He had been a 2nd Lieutenant on HMS Waterloo for 10 years, 7 years more than most. He enjoyed the life of the sea but the military aspect of the navy had been his undoing. Unable to make snap decisions he had been passed over again and again for promotion, but he was happy, and his men had liked him, even if they did not respect him. Now however, on the insistence of his wife he had taken instant promotion to full Captain on one of the new oil liners that were being commisioned for use running the oil that Gintonpar had just discovered. The oil companies had sent out a call for experienced navy lieutenants to take up Captains posts on their ships, and the navy had been only too happy to discharge the good natured Lieutenant Ford.

This was Fords first voyage as Captain of the Scallop, a vast oil tanker that smelt faintly of fish. He had picked up his consignment of oil as ordered from Rig Theta and was now heading over to Gintonpar held Mexico. He had always liked sailing that route, he had even enjoyed commanding the Waterloo when it was his watch. Now he was out of sight of Rig Theta and was nearing the Baltic Canal when he was hailed by Lieutenant Caig on the Foredeck.
"Ship on the horizon Sir! Looks like a patrol boat Shall I get her on the radio?"
"Er, yes! You do that Caig! I'm going to get my binoculars."
Ford replied, trying to sound decisive. "If I can find them", he added in an undertone.

Ford scampered back on deck, fumbling with his binoculars when Caig called out, "Says she's a Baltic Karelian patrol boat, sir. Strange though, we aren't meant to meet our escort till 7pm tonight."
Ford was suspcious, not of the appearance of the boat, but of his Lieutenants paranoia. He thought Caig was far too overzealous, "probably just wants to make an impression", he thought to himself, before replying,
"Quiet down, Mr Caig. You know what the navy's like, its hardly punctual!" Just like my promotion, he thought ironically.
"Sir, I really think we ought to get her password sir, run the background checks with harbour control?"
"Ive told you Lieutenant, its probably just early, pleased to see us. Relax Caig. Call me when she comes alongside."
"Sir."

Ford went below again, made himself a cup of tea, with just a nip of brandy, and came back to the deck. The patrol boat was called the Messenger, and looked in slovenly condition. Ford reckoned it was odd to see a navy vessel this poorly turned out but then thought nothing of it as their captain climbed up the gangway that they had set up. Accompanied by rather a large group of swarthy looking seamen.

"Welcome captain?"
"Blythe your honour, Blythe is the name, and most obliged to see your graciousness"
Ford had never been called either of the titles he had just been attributed and had to confess he was a little flattered, and rather bemused, at the mans choice of words. "Err, yes, welcome. I assume you've come to escort us through the canal? Capital, capital. Won't you come to my cabin, I have a delicious bottle of brandy waiting below"
The smile vanished from Blythe's face. "I abhor liquor of all kinds."
"Oh"
Blythe drew a pistol from behind his back, his companions, who had been gradually filing onto the ship and mixing with the Scallops crew drew similar weapons. "There does not need to be bloodshed. Hand over the ship, and you and the lives of your men will be spared." Caig made a move for his pistol but one harsh look from Blythe stopped his hand halfway to his holster. Ford meekly mumbled that the ship was surrendered, there was not much he could do with a gun to his head and most of the rest of his crew being held at pistol point. Now the rest of the pirate crew came clattering up the gangplank, armed with heavier weapons than the ones carried by their colleagues.

"The next move is mine" Blythe said firmly, "Your Captain has kindly surrendered the ship. You will all go to your cabins where you shall be locked in for the rest of the voyage. You will be released as soon as we have deposited the oil that you have oh so very kindly given us." He smiled a wintry smile, "Dissenters will be shot. Volunteers for our crew are welcome. That is all.", to Fords shame, several of the crewmen, after looking at eachother, stepped forward into the care of the now jovial Captain Blythe.

"Good day gentlemen. Maybe Captain Ford would like to have a drink of brandy? He's gone quite pale." This drew a laugh from the crew. The Captain did indeed look pale, almost on the point of collapse, one might say. And his expression gave the impression that he would indeed rather drink brandy than spend another moment with this tough man, and his equally hard looking crew.

Eventually Ford was led below by Lieutenant Caig, who, instead of looking frightened, was almost quivering with rage. A revenge was being plotted.

EDIT- All done. Pirates are next up. More attacks please!

The Ultra Large Crude Carrier "Tina" sailed away from the oil-refinery in Gintonpar and started on the long haul past Nordkapp and down along the Kriegan Norwegian coast, past Britain and the Bay of Biscay thru the Gibraltar to Sicily. She carried 390 000 barrel loads of crude oil, worth 22 dollars a barrel. The total value of her load was 8.58 million dollars.

The crew didn't expect any difficulty during the voyage.

An unmarked black limosine drove down past the provincial capital, turned onto Omaha Street, past the famous theaters, going farther and farther, with the theaters becoming worse and worse, until Hitta e-Varitta came to a familiar part of town. The Back district, as it was known by locals, was the worst part of a terrible city, and seat of several criminal organizations.
The limo turned behind Mkabe's World Famous Whorehouse and entered a special garage. The driver got out and opened the door for the captain inside. As e-Varitta stepped out, Bmaoa Umbubuke, one of the biggest crime bosses around, greeted him.
"Hello old friend, it seems like its been years since i saw you last."
"Not since the sale of Nebraska, I think, hows buisness been?"
"I've almost got enough oil for my plan, just need a bit more before we can start to take action."
"I still dont know how you're gonna pull that off."
"Connections my freind, connections are everything, come in back I'd like to talk to you about that, actually"
The two men went through a heavy metal door, guarded by a pair of men with military issue weaponry.

"Well, now that you've got me here, what is it you wanted to talk about?" the pirate captain said
"You know what’s been going on since they sold Nebraska, don’t you?” the crime boss replied
“The rise of the gangs, slave trade, drugs, etc.?”
“Well yes, but it’s much more than that, we ‘buisnessmen’ control most of the city. For example, did you know the Elephanti police control only one-fourth of the city? The patrols stop halfway down Omaha Street. Only the tourist areas and rich parts of town ever see police, and even then they’re stretched thin.”
“I didn’t realize it was that bad, what are you planning?”
“Me, planning something, oh, you must be mistaken, I am merely stockpiling fuel, in case of a major catastrophe, say a rebellion, or a foreign attack, where oil is in high demand, I will generously offer to provide my stockpiles to those in need…for ten times the price of course.”
“Ah, you tricky devil, I should have known, but where do I fit in all this? What can a pirate do in a job this big?”
“From some of my sources, I found out about a big oil strike in Gintonpar Russia. Ships from Gintonpar, Layerteb, Cotland, RomeW, and maybe others are going back and forth with oil and supplies. I want everything you can get. If you can get it, destroy it. You get some revenge against oil companies, I get oil, and we all get rich!”
“How much is the pay, exactly?”
“Well, that depends on how much you get me, for oil say a 10% cut, equipment I’ll take for half face value, and a bonus for sinking ships, particularly warships or other pirates.”
“What other pirates?”
“Well, this find is big news, Nerotika and Binthor both have groups that might be after it, and a couple of other groups have shown interest.”
“I want more than that if you want your oil.”
“I assumed that from the beginning, and I got a great opportunity. One of the other captain’s got a bit ambitious, and learned the consequences. I’m sending two of his subs and a patrol boat to your command. You have 13 ships now, right?”
“With them I do, some of them aren’t quite in the best shape as of now.”
“I’d like to have you be out of port in three days, get supplied and get moving. We can repair your other ships, send them to the cove, if we hurry they may see action yet.”
“But who shall return them?”
“I shall send someone to make sure they are safe”
The captain knew it was pointless to argue, and after a smoke, went back to prepare.

My fleet is moving up the coast of Africa now, minus some in dock, the ship list will be posted later. My next post will probably be near Gibraltar/Spain. TG me or post here with info for an attack.

It was dusk. The port of Punto Fijo was situated in the Gulf of Venezuela. It was a small port, enough for a pair of tankers at a time. But tonight there was only one tanker sitting in port, taking on the last of its supplies. It would have to travel up to the Province of Dnalkrad, some twenty-four hundred nautical miles. The ship would make steam at 18 knots, giving her a total travel time of just over five and a half days, providing there were no storms or mechanical problems that would cause her to slow down. She was crewed by one hundred men and lightly armed, mostly small arms, though she did carry a pair of Stinger launchers with up to eight missiles somewhere in her below decks.

http://www.mncgnw.com/education/presentations/careers%20secondary%20school%20reduced%20images_files/slide0010_image010.jpg

The ship would leave port at 2000 and begin her northward journey, through the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic to St. Johns in Newfoundland (Dnalkrad). It was not an easy journey and never was but it wasn't perilous either...

Well done Elephantum. If you wanted to attack on of my ships they will be taking on supplies in the Dominican Republic on their way across the Atlantic, then they will move through the Panama Canal before delivering their supplies to Gintonpar Mexico. Another convoy is also heading to Gintonpar held Lisbon, and another to Gintonpar held Cadiz. There are further convoys heading into the Meditterenean to deliver to members of The Roman Confederacy. You would be more than welcome to attack one of mine lol. Nice work once again Elephantum.

The NG pirate ship (a small patrol boat with two 30mm cannons and four minigun posts) was sailing on the Western coast of Britain, flying the flag of Kriegorgrad.

The Captain of the vessel was peering through his binoculars when he spotted the Cottish oil tanker.

Translated from German...

Kapitän Urkraft: "All hands to the deck!"

Forty-five pirates, most ex-military and three being ex-ESPK Ops, ran to the deck and formed an organized line.

Kapitän Urkraft: "You all know the drill. We're a Kriegorgradian coastal patrol boat, and we are checking the ship to make sure there are no illegal activities occuring onboard."

Many of the men were loading pistols and SMG's. Several of them carried assault rifles.

Kapitän Urkraft: "Do not show your weapons until we are in position. Those of you who cannot speak English perfectly, do not speak at all."

The pirates were dressed in Kriegorgradian naval uniforms, and had tucked their weapons in their jackets or trenchcoats.

As the Cottish tanker grew near, the crew of the NGB Protector raised the sign, telling the tanker to stop for routine inspection.

The pirates were anxious to receive their cut...

The master of the 'Tina', Joseph Titus, saw the Kriegorgradian PT boat signal to them that they should stop immediately. Checking the seacharts, Titus saw that he still was within the 12 nautical mile border. Kriegorgradian waters in other words.

Following procedure, he had the radioman call up the homeoffice and tell them that they were stopping for inspection. At the same time, the large vessel started to come to a stop.

Titus walked out on the railing with a megaphone and told who he were and what their destination was to the small PT boat down there in broken-up english.

Master Titus: We Cottish ULCC. Much oil. Ready for inspection. Come.

A few deck hands were on deck now and looked down at the uniformed men in the little boat. They prepared a rope-ladder so the Kriegorgradian sailors could come aboard. In the galley, the cook were busy boiling coffee for the visitors, an old tradition in Poseidon Shipping, which the 'Tina' belonged to.

The captain saluted and the "Kriegorgrad" sailors boarded the ship.

Kapitän Urkraft: "Greetings, Captain. We are going to run a basic check of this ship and all rooms."

As soon as he had finished speaking, the Germanian pirates revealed their pistols, SMG's, and assault rifles.

Kapitän Urkraft began shouting orders in German.

The radio-operator inside the control room was shot before he could report to homebase. The cooks below deck were let go, due to their generosity.

The rest of the Cottish sailors were rounded up and handcuffed. A few skirmishes broke out here and there, but most of the Cottish sailors were outgunned and gave up.

Speaking in English...

Kapitän Urkraft: This ship and its contents are now possessions of us."

He then pulled off the Kriegorgrad trenchcoat and revealed a dark grey Germanian Kriegsmarine coat.

"We do not represent North Germania. We are what you might call 'pirates'."

A Germanian aid ran up to him and spoke into his ear.

Translated from German...

Kapitän Urkraft: "$8.58 million! That's a good score, gentlemen! Let's get out of here before before the REAL Kriegorgrad Coastal Patrol suspects something."

The Kriegorgrad flag on the patrol boat was taken down, and the flag of Cotland replaced it.

The patrol boat would follow the tanker to a "private buyer" off of the coast of Svalbard, where they would receive full payment for the oil, the tanker, and the crew...

Havana, Cuba
2234 Hours

A large man stood in the warm night of Havana, near the mouth of a totally black, forbidding alley. He occasionally checked his watch while whistling a tune, obviously waiting for someone. He wore a black hoodie, with the hood pulled all the way down to cover his face in shadows, even though it was warm enough out to wear T-shirts. He rocked back and forth on his feet, impatient. They were late. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a large black SUV pulled up slowly, with the words "Sentinel Corporation" printed clearly on the side. The left back door popped open and a bald man with a crisp, black suit stepped out. He motioned for the man to get into the car, but said nothing. The man in the hoodie, obliged, stepping in and sliding into the middle seat, next to another man with the same bald head and black suit. Both men wore dark sunglasses, so their eyes were impossible to read. No doubt expressionless anyway, thought the man. The driver looked almost identical to the other two, but he had short brown hair and wore a bright red tie. The man in the hoodie sighed. This is going to be a long ride. And indeed it was a long ride. They rode in silence the whole way, out of the city and to the west. After coming nearly sixty miles, they came to a side road, with a large sign reading "Sentinel Corporation- Legal action will be taken against tresspassors". They turned onto the road, crunching slowly over the smoothly laid gravel. After nearly a mile, they came to a large wrought iron gate, with forboding iron spikes mounted of top. A guard moved out of the small wooden structure to the left of the gate. He wore combat fatigues and held a light submachine gun at his side, held up by a shoulder strap. He moved to the SUV as the driver rolled down the window. He handed the guard a small card. The guard looked it over intently and then nodded. He whistled once, and suddenly the car was surrounded. Four guards stepped out of the underbrush of the forest that surrounded the road. They all wore an extremely efficient camouflage uniform, and they were almost impossible to spot. Each of them also carried large M4 carbine rifles. Two of them immediately openned the trunk, while the other two walked around it. They produced wands and scanners and started an efficient sweep of the car, checking every nook and cranny, inside and out. The original guard kept his gun at the ready, overseeing the procedure. After a ten minute search, the camouflaged group walked to the main guard, and they conferred silently and briefly with him. The guard nodded and then, once again, walked to the driver's door.

"Your vehicle is clear, sir. You may go ahead."

He walked into the gatehouse and inserted a key into a slot and touched a palm reader. A light on the building flashed green, and there was a noisy buzz as the gate slid open smoothly. The SUV continued on, and the hooded man looked back just in time to see two more heavily armed camouflaged men step out of the brush. The SUV drove down the now paved road, passing numerous concrete buildings. They drove for a couple of minutes until they were driving on a road in the middle of an open field, with the concrete structures left behind them. In the openness of the field stood a gigantic mansion, with smaller buildings around it. The SUV pulled up to the marble stairs leading to the front door, and the two agents in the back ushered the man out of the SUV. The SUV drove towards the small lot beside the building, leaving the hooded man and two agents outside the front doors of the mansion. Two guards in fatigues stood outside, standing straight and tall, rifles at the ready on either side of the large double doors. The agents walked up the stairs, and the two guards simoultaneously took clacking sidesteps, blocking the door. The agents walked up and one stepped forward, one of the guards a card identical to the drivers. The guard looked it over with much scrutiny, and then handed to the other guard to do the same. When they were satisfied, they repeated the process for the second agent. One then moved aside from the door as the other moved forward and wanded the man in the hoodie before patting him down. He stepped back when he was done and then nodded satisfied. He pulled open the big double doors for the men after pressing his hand on another palm pad. The agents walked forward, keeping the man in the hoodie between them. A man in a blue suit walked forward, greeting the men.

"Sir Adrian Mattix will see you now."

He beckoned the three men to follow him and then led them through the halls to a flight of steps, which they climbed to the forth and highest story on. He moved through a small foyer to the door on the other side of the room. He put his eye to a scanner, while at the same time inserting a black keycard and touching a palm pad. The device at the side of the reinforced door made a small confirming beep and the man in the blue suit openned the door and then stepped to the side. Two agents waiting inside performed another check of cards and search before letting them pass. They continued walking a little ways before coming to a regal-looking door. The guard pressed a button beside the door, and immediately, three cameras directed themselves at the men. There was a small wait and then a series of clicks as the door unlocked. The door opened from th other side, and two new, different looking agents stood in the way of the entrance. They wore officer uniforms rather than the suits of the agents accompying the man in the hoodie. Yet another search was made and the officers relieved the two suited agents of their sidearms. They then moved out of the way, and the three men stepped into a large office. At the desk on the other side of the office sat a large African man, looking over papers. The two suits moved over to one side of the room and stood, waiting. The man in the hoodie walked toward the desk and unhooded himself. The African man looked up and smiled, showing pearly white teeth.

"Gellert, it's good to see you again! Last time I saw you was... It had to have been... About two years ago when you were assigned to 'relieve' those two peacekeeping frigates of their weapons. If I remember correctly, you did a very good job then."

"Yes, Mr. Mattix, we took the frigates successfully. They are now in the fleet."

"Yes, that's right! And no need to call me Mr. Mattix here, I'm just good old Adrian."

"Yes sir, Mr. Mat... I mean Adrian. You summoned me?"

"Yes, I have a business proposition for you. It seems as if there has been quite a large oil strike in Russia. You know I can usually get my hands on most big deposits in the world, but this time they aren't cooperating with me. I have decided to 'borrow' some of their oil without permission if they won't let me be in the business. That is where you come in. You and Jerica are both being hired to take as many crude carriers as possible. You will then deliver the oil to some hidden depots and desert the ship. While you're at it, you can do what you will with the crews. Send out ransonms if you like. This is a very big deal."

"Yes, I have heard of this oil. I will get on it, right away, Adrian."

"Good. All of my intellegence networks will be open to you. Do not fail. This job could make you a rich man. Oh, and be careful. Layarteb and Cotland are on the job, and you know how they handled that Swaziland situation a few weeks ago. Get on the job. Goodbye."

The agents moved forward and escorted him back to the SUV. They drove him out of the complex and dropped him off, back at the same alley where he had started.

The radio operator aboard the 'Tina' had managed to get out a little of the transmission before being shot. He had mentioned "Kriegorgradian" before the reciever heard a gunshot and the radio went silent. Immediately, he contacted the insurance company and the Cottish government, who owned a part of 'Poseidon Shipping' and thus the 'Tina'.

Admiral McCarthy in Cotlandstad were angry. He immediately ordered the Cottish navy placed on full alert, and 4 Virginia class submarines were dispatched immediately to search for the 'Tina'. Two from Sicily and two from Murmansk. At the same time, he ordered the crews of the Seeker class frigates CSS Mike, CSS Oscar, CSS Rudolf, CSS Peter and CSS Daniel to prepare to set for sea immediately. It sounded like they were up against pirates, something the navy hadn't chased for more then 100 years.

The lawyers in the Ministry of Defence looked up old laws, and after three hours search, they found what they were looking for.

Piracy Act of 1632

1. Any person found engaged in the awful act of Piracy, or suspected of such, shalleth suffer the Death by Rope or Axe.

2. The person shalleth have the right to a Trial by law, where no less then three (3) judges shall be men of honor and naval rank.

3. Any wealth or possesions belonging to the Pirate shall be confiscated by the State.

4. Any person assisting the Pirate in their God-forbidden acts shall be imprisoned for no less then 20 years in a Prison belonging to the State.

5. Should his assistance be great, he is to be considered a Pirate himself and suffer the consquenses of article 1.

6. Painful Interregation is allowed in order to procure a confession.

The law had never been disposed of, so they could still use it.

Now, out at sea

The fleet took position outside of the city of Lisbon, picked out a good spot, and prepared for the ship. The crew were down below deck, talking, smoking, and gambling. The slavers who accomanied them were getting ready, setting up cages, and mending nets. The pilots were running tests on the helicopters, and all the weapons were up and running. The captain's met on board the Purity of Woe and discussing the plan. They decided that the two Points would be out looking for criminals who disguised themselves as crew. The crew would be called to deck for inspection, and then the two boats carried by the Glory of Varitta would come on board and attack, followed by the bigger ships.
Hitta wondered if the plan would work, they'd done it a million times before, but never on anything this big. Would the captain believe them? He didn't know if there were any Point class cutters operating out of there, but then again, who knows if the captian did either

The Cottish frigate 'Cobb' were on patrol off the Cottish "protectorate" Franz Josef Land. In reality, it was a island fortress. Missile batteries, both anti aircraft and anti ship, littered the islands.
On one of them, Jackson Island, lay the Cottish Navys submarine base Jackson Island Naval Submarine Base, home of more then 30 Cottish submarines. On another one, Alexander Island, were Alexander Island Naval Base, the 'Cobb's and more then 40 other frigates' homebase.
Right now, the 'Cobb' were patroling the waters off Hooker Island, the main penal detention center in Cotland. A total of 18 000 prisoners were incarcerated there, and the 'Cobb's mission was to make sure that no-one tried to escape.

Lieutenant: Sir, we have new orders.

Captain: What? Let me see. - the Captain read the new mission orders the Lieutenant handed him. It looked like they were needed somewhere else. Protecting tankers in the Norwegian Sea it seemed - All ahead 2/3. Inform base that we are moving.

The 'Cobb' sailed south-west, making 24 knots.

Ford wept inconsolably for days. Locked in his cabin with a bottle of his brandy and an ache in his heart. He had failed, just like he always did, and now his new command was being taken God knows where. Think of the disgrace! His first month in his command and he had lost the ship, he knew he wouldnt be killed, he would be ransomed probably. Lets save them the expense Ford thought. Who would pay for a washed up failure of a Captain?

He moved his hand to his revolver, pulled back the hammer, and put a bullet into his head.

The master, Joe Titus, thought the situation thru. North Germanians. They had set course towards the north. He could see it on the snow flying in the air. Most likely Svalbard. It was the only logical destination. He thought some more. Svalbard weren't far away from Franz Josef Land, Cottish territory and one of Cotland's largest naval bases.
He could try to escape as soon as they approached Svalbard, or a Cottish naval vessel was spotted. But he still had his crew to think about. He would stay aboard.

Perhaps if we requested that a Germanian tanker from Denmark come refuel us, and we head towards Baffin Island, and tell our buyer that his shipment may be compromised.

We can tell our buyer to meet us at Baffin Island, and the Germanian tankers never check for pirate activity.

Call our buyer and request a tanker, Käbel."

Aboard the CSS 'Mike', a Seeker class patrol frigate, the crew prepared one of the 'Mike's 4 F-35s for flight. It had been stripped of weapons in favor of external fuel tanks, leaving only its 20mm Vulcan gun with 480 rounds for armament. The fighter, whose callsign was Mike 2, took off from the 'Mike's flight deck, and set course for the last known position of the 'Tina'.

12 minutes from the position, it saw something in the horizon. It looked like a fleet tanker, and that was confirmed shortly after. A North Germanian fleet tanker, heading for the norhtwest side of the Orkney islands. Having a hunch, the pilot flew on, having used 44% of the fuel. He had 20 minutes to search before he had to return to the 'Mike'.

Sure enough, the pilot saw the 'Tina' making 22 knots, heading west. He didn't have any weapons, so he couldn't engage. But he could radio it in. He just had to take a flyover to make sure it was the 'Tina'....

Gellert Norack sat in his personal cabin of his flagship, Marcell, looking over the numerous maps and intellegence reports intently. The Marcel was a good ship, a Spruance, funded by the large amounts of money that came from his piracy. He was prideful in knowing that his flagship had never been defeated in battle, not even when the navy instead of the coast guard was summoned. Yes, it was a good ship, he thought. The ship was his pride and joy, but it rarely ever took parts in operations. Destroyers were not good ships for taking cargo, but if an operation went bad, it could support the smaller ships in his fleet. Like now, how it held off nearly ten miles from where the operation to take the April was going on. In this operation, his two Powhatan altered tugs, the Reliance and the Benedict, were going to pass off the bow of the April. They would move off the ship's bow nearly at midnight. A couple of minutes later, a message would be sent to the tanker, saying they had collided and were taking on water fast. From a distance, they would look like this, but the ships had been modified years earlier with two thick hulls. Between these hulls were compartments, and the compartments would be filled with water, giving the appearance of the ship sinking. While the tanker responded, two small zodiacs with the elites of the fleet would move in from the nearby PC-1 Cyclone patrol boat, Emerald's Eye. A Hamilton class cutter would be nearby the operation, waiting to give any heavy support that was needed. The rest of the fleet would sit with the Marcell, ready to take on any other ships that tried to interfere. If all went well, the zodiac teams would board the stern, while all the commotion was going on at the bow, and take out the pilots and radiomen unsuspecting. Then they could take the rest of the crew as prisoners, or, in the case of resistance, just kill them and dump them into the deep blue Caribbean...

On board Hitta e-Varitta's ships, the crew grew restless, where were these ships that were supposed to be delivering? Cadiz, Lisbon, Gibraltar, these were all confirmed spots for ships to be going, but where are they? Could this be a plot concocted by the crime bosses, to get them caught? They had to be careful, staying in one place to long would alert the Gintonpar Navy, and they could hold out without the rest of the fleet, but moving to much would make them miss opportunities. OOC: The following info is completely secret, known to the pirate hunters ONLY! It's a surprise to the pirates that try to take over my tankers.

IC: Task Force Bravo sailed out from Palermo Naval Base under cover of darkness in order to be within the patrol area by dawn. Most of the ships would sail along the southern part of the route in formation, while the Skjold patrolboats would roam the seas and escort the tankers. Their 'Lance' anti ship missiles and 76mm OTO gun would make short prosess of the pirate ships. Any survivor picked up would be transported aboard the carrier and hung, which was allowed by Cottish law (Piracy act of 1632).

At 06.07 AM, the task force were ready to start the patrol in the Atlantic. The Skjolds were already in route to the nearest tankers, ready to take up patrol position. Their tactic was to follow 10 nautical miles behind the tanker, then when the pirates attacked, they would join the party, sailing to the tanker making 60 knots. Approx. 2 Skjolds would escort each tanker.

ooc: Task Force Bravo (Commodore S. Rollings)

(12) Skjold class patrol craft

ic: The first tanker to get escort was the 'Good Profit'. A 160 000 ton tanker, it were in route for north east Egypt. The two Skjolds that were to escort her, PT 301 and PT 327, arrived when she was 100 nautical miles off Gibraltar. The distance between the 'Good Profit' and PT 301 and PT 327 were large enough for the radar to oversee the naval vessels. Now, the crews were just waiting for the pirates.

OOC: Sorry, didnt realise you wanted me to make the first move. Anyway, here goes.

The Everest oiler was cruising comfortably through the swells. The sea was choppy and was being buffeted by a summer squall. Fantastic weather, thought Gregor. Gregor was a rating on the ship and had always loved the sea, even in his youth. He hadnt wanted to join the navy but had jumped at the chance to join the Gintonpar Merchant Corps. GMC was one of the largest oiler companies in the world and shipped to hundreds of destinations all over the world. Gregor had lived in Russia and had been furious when he had been occupied by Gintonpar after his previous autonomy, yet now he was strangely endeared to his new soveriegn country, it had given him prosperity, responsibilty, and comradeship. He knew he would do his duty.

The Everest had been sailing for 3 weeks on a long, storm slowed voyage from Severnaya Zemlya and was heading for Cadiz, where Gregor hoped to pick up a shy senorita, maybe even a senora if he was feeling naughty. The Captain was an honest man, who shared the dangers faced by his men and who looked out for their best interests always. A great man, Gregor believed. His name was Captain Handley and Gregor admired his qualities and tried to emulate him, with Handley at the helm he knew they would make the voyage safely. However the squall seemed to be worsening, and even Gregor, who loved the sea, was feeling slightly queesy. He went down to the radar room to speak with his comrades there as he himself was not on duty at the moment and almost as soon as he entered there was a hubbub of activity as a series of bleeps on one of the screens indicated the presence of another ship. Although it was not visible in the storm, and although Gregor was ignorant of the finer workings of radar, he could tell that the ship was rather larger than a standard merchantman or patrol boat. The confusion increased as the officer of the watch was called. What was this mysterious vessel?

Suddenly Gregor noticed more dots on the radar, more ships spreading out in a semi-circle in front of them. Gregor was startled when the door burst open again and Captain Handley entered the room, buckling on his pistol belt. It seemed even captains needed sleep.

"Whats going on here?" He barked.
"Sir, 4 ships spreading out in a net around us. Military grade sir, they're warships. Even some helicopters, sir."
Handley looked startled but he swiftly snapped out of it and started rattling off orders. A broadcast would be sent to Cadiz notifying them of this turn of events.

The ships still were'nt visible through the squall and it irked the Captain not even to be able to see these ships with his own eyes. Then he snapped "Beat to quarters. All personnel to battle stations. Take up arms and ammunition. Prepare to repel borders." He had just received a communique from Cadiz. Gintonpar had no ships due to be on that position at that time. Several real Gintonpar destroyers were being sent to investigate and in the meantime Handley was told to make for the nearest safe harbour and to fire on any unknown ships that made an approach. A squadron of MiGs were being scrambled from Cadiz to make a flyover of the Everest and would be here within two hours due to the ever worsening weather.

The decks were a hive of activity as the sailors scrambled to the munitions posts and the dozen or so professional armed guards brought out their heavy weapons. They could'nt fight a warship, they simply hoped to take evasive action, some hope with an oil tanker, and hold out long enough for the MiGs to arrive. Gregor was handed an automatic weapon and could not help but feel a pulse of fear. He didn't want to fight.

OOC-Gregor could be taken captive, we were planning on taking some crew to sell as slaves, and he can have some fun.

The Point Class Cutters came closer to the Everest, while on the other side of the ship two large inflatabe motorboats closed in on the ship. One was torn to pieces by the defenders, but the other kept on going. The two cutters had a total of 30 boarders, plus 20 other crewmembers staying on board, and were confident that the crew would be overwhelmed. A speaker on one ship constantly played "Surrender now, and live, those who resist will be shot, or worse." even though they knew the ship would not surrender, better to try than miss an opportunity. The cutters were almost close enough, and everyone, fighters, slavers, and commanders, were ready. Just a few more minutes.

Captain Handley tried his best to rouse the defenders but it was hopeless. His men were sailors not soldiers. The armed guards were trying their best but fire from the cutters directed at them had driven them below decks, where they vainly tried to conduct some kind of resistance. The sailors blatantly could'nt direct their fire and although they made a fine show of trying to protect their ship Handley eventually ordered them to ceasefire and wait for the approach of the cutters. At least he would save his crew.

Everything of value was taken off the ship as they prepared to bring it back to Gambia. Word of the victory was sent to the crime bosses of Banjul, and they started to move.

You're not a part of Earth II but as I have maintained that nations outside can RP as like rebel forces or something, RP'ing as a group of pirates would probably be viable as you wouldn't actually hold a country or something. If you want you can RP as a merchant line for the EOL sailing Dnalkrad to I guess Baltic Karelia (Sound good BK?).

im sorry, but as my captain, his home port, and his ships are about to be dragged into the Gambian Seccesion, my pirates are done for now. Although if Gintopar or one of the other countries wants revenge, feel free to pay Gambia a visit.
