Part I
David Ben Gurion International Airport: Jerualem, IDF
The 4 Pratt and Whitney engines were turning now on reduced power as the converted 747-400X airliner was on approach to runway 36R. The pilot was IDF Air Force Col. Mordechai Brown. This wasn't as fun as flying his beloved F/A-22 Raptor, but the job of flying the President was important. He eased his flaps down 10 degrees as his airliner slowed now at an altitude of 5,000 feet, airspeed was at 250 knots.
President Kenny Williams was now awake in his aft cabin. He had just delivered a speech at the NATO headquarters and was glad that he could now look forward to a new Knesset that was heavily on his side of the aisle. He was looking forward to passing his new space initiative that woud put the IDF space program back on track.
Unfortunately, this wasn't to be. About 5,500 yards outside of the perimeter fence at the airport stood Yacoub Howanski, a dedicated member of the IDF Communist Party. He was upset by the results of the recent election and feared what it meant for him and his comrade workers who he thought would be hurt by the evil capitalist President. He would be the savior of the workers with his new ambitious plan. On a tripod and hidden in the bushes with him was a green light laser that would remedy the unfortunate election results that had befell him and his friends.
“What are you planning on doing when we land?” asked Col. Brown.
“What do you think Sir?” responded the co-pilot, Major Cowertz. “I'm going to sleep for a few days before we take the President back to NW Indiana.”
The conversation would never be finished. As the plane's landing lights became visible to Howanski, the laser lit up. The bright light was aimed at the cockpit.
“What the Hell is that!?!?” yelled Cowertz.
“MY EYES!” yelled Brown.
The pilot's were heard over the open radio frequency. The yelling caused the crew in the control tower to look for where the plane was. They were powerless and could only look in horror as the now blinded pilots tried to bring their airliner carrying the President into a safe landing.
Brown pulled his collective up as he increased throttle. Cowertz thought to lower the flaps more. He pulled the collective down to try and land. The result was a fight for control as the plane overflew a smiling Howanski. The aircraft ended up rotating 15 degrees right of the horizon as it decended.
It was about halfway over the runway when the right wing struck the ground. The fuel cells exploded as the wing snapped off. The body of the aircraft spun around to the right as it rolled over from the force of the explosion. The left wing broke off and the centerline fuel cell exploded. A fireball shot up about a thousand feet in the air. It was obvious to all who had seen the crash that all aboard were dead, including President Kenny Williams.
Firetrucks and ambulances raced to the scene for all it was worth. News quickly reached the Press Secretary who had to write a press release.

Knesset Opposition Leader and Communist Party Head Ehud Rosenberg put on INN just in time.
“We have breaking news,” began an anchor who looked like he was just told the world had ended. “President Kenny Williams' plane crashed on approach to David Ben Gurion Airport. Rescue crews have announced that there are no surviviors. We repeat, President Kenny Williams has died.”
Rosenberg flipped the switch to turn off his TV. “It looks like Howanski did his job,” he thought. “I hope he can get away.”
