We of the Republic of Morgenroete are proud to announce the completion of the Onogoro Mass Driver. This structure uses electromagnets to launch objects into space at a fraction of the cost of a traditional launch. Our nation has spent an innumerable amount of funds of the design construction of this facility.

We are proud to announce the availability of its use to other nations. For a fee that is less then the cost of a traditional rocket launch we will launch your cargo, ship or satellite into orbit. To take advantage of this service please telegram our state department with a cargo manifest, the price will be negotiated upon approval of the cargo. The cargo will be inspected to make sure it matches the manifest. You may have a representative accompany the inspection team if you wish. We will also provide designs for a Mass Driver compatible ship.

We hope all nations will take advantage of this new technology to expand the use of space travel.

Nice idea Morgenreoete, I can't participate in this thread ICly because I'm currently in a revolution, so my scientists saying "Great idea" wouldn't be very feasible, because most of them are either :-

We thank you all for your generous contributions. The design and construcion of this facility has nearly bankrupted our small nation. The overall purpose of this facility is to make possible the construcion of a free floating space colony at Lagrange point 3. The projects name is Heliopolis. To complete this lofty ideal, we would have to generate funding. That is where the idea of providing launch services to other nations originated.

A wonderful ooc post: And what exactly is so hard about building a friggin gun? Yes, I know, IRL, there are several rather harsh problems regarding building 'em Coil/ Railguns. Nonetheless, once there is a solution for them, the resources needed to build simple (Though oversized) guns are ludicrously small, compared to what you need for conventional rockets/ space shuttles etc.. And, while we're at it, Keep your worthless 'advise' for yourself. For the thousands time, There are no population requirements whatsoever for anything. If you don't like the way other players play the game, ignore them, sure. But don't try to shove your truth down our throats. Now, if this was actually about launching $Superbattleship, yes, I would laugh, too. However, it isn't, so, be polite, and, uh... Go away, possibly?

The Hack, sick of the arrogance of nations who would presume to dictate what scientists in other nations can and cannot do, is pleased to offer the Republic of Morgenroete seed money in the sum of five hundred (500) billion dollars.
