The main thing to keep in mind is this:

Defence: $11,287,081,453.94 that is $11bn, as opposed to the US defence budget of around $300bn. My military budget is around $7 trillion. Your economy must be quite underdeveloped, so you're going to have the military of a lager third world nation.

Well, if you have an imploded economy, there's really next to nothing going on. The people must be struggling to find food, and the idea of maintaining hundreds of massive modern helicopters is, I think, outlandish. I mean, if you put it into a real world context, you have to look at the worst examples of national deprivation that can be found. The most cripplingly poor African states, that can't afford to maintain more than a few thousand men at arms with whatever equipment they can scrape together.

All right, your nation has almost ten times as many people as the largest African state, but the idea of Nigeria maintaining sixty MiG-29, a hundred helicopters, and two nuclear submarines, I think you'll agree, is pretty far fetched. And Nigeria's economy is probably a step above implosion, over all.

You could certainly pull together that many heavy guns, so long as you don't expect to always have modern howitzers with extended range this and laser designated that (North Korea manages to keep a basket load of simple artillery pieces on a shot economy, though of course their military spending is wildly high).

To my mind, with an economy producing next to nothing, you really have to accept that modern, high-tech weaponry is totally beyond your nation, unless you sink massive proportions of the budget into defence spending to maintain a few token examples provided by a wealthy foreign benefactor.

The problem is that an imploded economy is the absolute bottom drawer. Probably a few hundred dollars per capita in yearly gross domestic product. If you choose to play the true state indicated by your profile's rating, it's Toyota pick-ups and AK-47s all the way (if you can afford fuel for the pick-ups).

Zapadslavia has a fairly shoddy economy, and we've just totally abandoned the idea of deploying forces over-seas, because it would just be too hard to maintain the heavy lift capability. You can still mount a good defence with an awful economy, but the nuclear element and intercontinental deployment aspect are just not there, I think.

That said, I'm only an amature, commenting because he has nothing better to do until the chippy opens.

we use ak-74s actually so the budget isnt overstretched, the urals are also a bit crummy most are surplus from the cold war with a few extra bits, i can cut the mortars, i dont like them anyway and 5 patrol vessels 200 halos in the drain.

danke shone for your comments, however i dont know why it was moved.
