OOC This is in no way connected to my nation.

IC Millisha stood on the deck of the Lovers Revenge, her power armour glisening red. Around her the crew where making sure the warp did not get inside the huge asteriod base. She looked down at the docked ships, numbering one battle barge, seven Strike Crusiers, six Cobra Frigates, Two transports and six hunter destroyers. As well as the Ship command itself. They exited the warp inside the Asteriod Belt on the side of pluto closest to the sun, and immidietly set up their Current Hedquaters.

Mistress Millisha moved into the council room, her three officeress in arms with her. Thy entered the room filled with the captins of the assorted ships under their command and began to work the plans out.

"If we seperate we could become easy prey to their escorts," Said one of the captins.

"Yet if we stay together we will become to suspisious" Said another

"Silence!" Yelled Millisha. "We are going to do this a very simple way. There will be four battle groups, each will consist of two of each class of warship. They will manage themselves, work out how to kill. There will always be two Battle groups in space at one time, we shall work out shifts later. Attacks on any ships you can find will commence. Should the base come under attack, then you will pull back to assist in defences, should we risk destruction, we are ready to enter the warp directly to the base world for repairs. Understand?" The last was retorical, not ment to be answered. "Good, move out then"

The First two Battle groups moved out, each one had two Strike Crusiers, Two cobras and two Hunter Destroyers. They both moved in different directions, intending to destroy any ships in their path. They needed to find the enemy, and they where not dissapointed.

The Headquaters long range scanners picked up a convy of ships heading in the First battle groups location. Because of the fact they had yet to set up proper Hyperspace inhibitors across each side of the belt line, they where hoping some came near them. It was luck then, that one convoy was heading directly for the First battle groups Inhibotors.

OOC Jordaxia I leave what happens to you.

The convoy, carrying air to Pluto, was suddenly a long long way from where it wanted to be. Yanked out of hyperspace, with six warships bearing down on them, it took about four seconds til panic held dominion, and another ten for the weapons officer to have the weapons aiming at the enemy ships. The targetting computer had snatched onto their signatures, and automated countermissiles had launched, ordered to flood ECM into the area, and to shoot down whatever other missiles came gunning for them. Masers lined up with their targets, but didn't fire yet. Perhaps bloodshed could be avoided.

Captain Etsudo opened a channel with his neurites, and urgently sent a message to the ships over all frequencies. The silent distress beacon was also activated, beaming a very narrow transmission to the PMC, and potential assistance. The message he sent to the unknown ships was this.

"This is Captain Etsudo of the merchant ship "playing with fire" calling to unknown vessels. We know the drill. We drop the loot, and put it down to pirates on Varuna, where we'll be promised that you lot get put to justice, right? We're all old hat at this" He lied. "Jetisonning cargo."

There was a loud his as the cargo containers were forced from the cargo bay of the one mile long trading vessel, and it slid off into the darkness. The merchant ship continued on its way, hoping that the unknowns were only coming for the loot. The masers stayed firmly locked onto the unknown vessels, nevertheless.

The ships captin, a man who wore Grey power armour similar to that of a grey knight watched as the ships getosened their cargo. He nodded to the Weapons Officer, who started speaking into a microphone.

"All ships launch fire, try to dismoblise their sheilds, nothing more, we want to keep those ships, they can be used later."

The Ships complied, and Lance fire arced across space, followed by The torpedo lasers armed on the Cobras. At the same time, thunderhawk gunships come out and began to fire apon the sheilds. Once the Sheilds where down they would send men abord to finish the crew.

The ships shook violently as they began to feel the bombardment. The eggshield slowly began to heat up, gas turning to plasma under the bombardment as it tried to diffract the beams. Underneath the opaque cloud, the thermokinetic foam began to char and blacken. The gas began to clear, revealing the burnt hull of the ships.

On board the Playing with Fire, Captain Etsudo panicked for a second as he tried to remember what to do in such a situation. He quickly sent a message to the other convoy captains telling them to execute "emergency manoeuvre Delta." As one, the ships began a gracefully smooth long turn to the right, though that was the entirety of Evasive manoeuvre Delta. The maser cannons began to return fire to the ships, invisible beams of energy striking out at light speed. At the distance they were at, they couldn't see the effect it was having.

The radio link crackled into life.
"Incoming boarders!" It yelled. "How many Ock suits do we have?"

"Just one" came the reply.

"One suit for the whole convoy? What's the point of that? Tell me at least, is the operative on the same ship?" came the desperate question.

"No, sir. There is no operative, it's a drone pilot." Was the response.

"A drone? We have one stupid suit of armour between us? Oh dear. Grab the guns, prepare to repel the boarders."

the security contingent of the Playing with Fire removed their guns from the cabinets, primarily the "Spork" pistol, a modular weapon with several types of round. They were set to rapid fire, but could be toggled between incendiary, armour piercing, etc, at a moments notice. The one Doc Ock spider armour guarded the bridge of the Playing with Fire, a last ditch defense of the ship.

Each of the crews stood ready.

The Pods loged themselves into the ships, opening the front to allow the twenty men inside to leave. It was then that who these people had been came about. One pod for each ship was full of Space marines, And three of these where assult Termonators. THe Sacrad Band had once been a Marine chapter in the Valshare Imperium, but had been excomunicated for unknown reasons. Now they where working as the mecinary group, allined with a number of natives to the world they controled. The men and women walked through the ship, intent on killing or disabling all the crew.

As the pods opened up into the ships, the crews began to open fire, the rattle of automatic weapons echoing through the cargo hold. The darkened room was lit up as a hail of light fire concentrated on the holes in the ship. Slowly, however, the return fire began to wither away the defenders, who were only lightly armed. Globules of blood began to work their way through the air, floating through the hold tranquilly. As the heavy machine gun fire from the cargo holds lessened, before stopping completely, each of the bridge crews began to panic. The firefight on the bridge was even shorter, the poor defensive positions leaving the spindly Jordaxians vulnerable to enemy fire.

Ship after ship began to fall at the hands of the pirates, until only one remained, the Playing with Fire. As soon as the merceneries turned the last corner on the way to the bridge, the drone activated with a banchee wail, pinning itself to the door with its powerful back legs, and bringing all its guns to bear. Four huge, heavy machineguns began to fire, thousands of bullets ripping down the corridor creating a literal wall of lead. The screeches from the drones automated voicebox sounded like some beast from hell had escaped onto the ship. Bringing up its two gaussguns at near close range, it prepared them to fire on a dead-mans switch. Two small capacitors loaded up into each gaussgun, ready to fire as soon as the "hold" signal was stopped, a circumstance which meant the suits destruction. Behind the door of the 'Fires bridge, the last panicked crew awaited the outcome.
