The world was a crazy worthless, place. The Armed Republic of Philosophical Liberty was a former small, Island nation in the East Pacific. It was recently re-founded as Philosophical Liberty by discouraged soldiers from the western world. The people accepted them as a new beginning, and the new government was formed. The few who disagreed with the new government were free to leave. The scholars and soldiers formed the nation as a way to escape the tyrannical corrupt corporate societies governing the majority of the earth. The government established was labelled by the U.N. as "Democratic Socialist" and didn't argue with it - all was for the government. There is compulsory millitary service (as well as education) for all people, but virtually all other aspects of life are left up to the people.
The millitary of the small nation is tiny, technologically behind, but still very strong - especially in the Special Operatians area of Unconventional Warfare, since the armed forces are trained by former commandos from the Western world.
In short, Philosophical Liberty is looking for a region with simmilar ideals to call its new home. U.N. influence is a must. P.I.'s army is not willing to invade alone - but it will gladly defend itself and aid it's allies - infact all allies in it's region will have a team of about 50-100 highly-trained and capable unconventional warfare commandos capable of reconnissance, sabotage, and counter-insurgency operations against the enemy. They can operate in groups of about 6, meaning they can have more than one PI squad working in multiple theatres. They can operate in the field for long periods of time, without any support. Furthermore, at least 10% of the team will be former commandos from the west and acting as the leadership. The rest of the team is composed of highly trained nationals from the former state. These are atationed in PI's allies' nations and can be used by them at any time.
