Admiral Windham nervously paced the bridge deck, while both of the nations his reinforced 3rd fleet was supposed to take over were peacefull, he couldn't help worry that there might be trouble ahead
Comunication officer 1: Task force 31 has entered Faroes territorial waters sir. No sign of anything that might even be remotely considered a threat.
Admiral Windham: Very well, keep me posted.
Comms officer 2: Task force 32 reporting in, sir. They are in position to invade Iceland, no opposition of any kind reported.
Admiral: Excellent, they are a good four hours ahead of schedule. Contact task force 32, and order them to proceed.
Comms officer 2: Yes sir!

Bridge Yamato 2 class battleship Mutsu, flagship task force 32
Comms officer: Sir, message from the Zuikaku.
Rear admiral: Read it.
Comms officer: Yes sir. The message reads: Commence operation Polar Glory
Rear admiral: With the correct codes, and all?
Comms: Yes sir.
Rear admiral: Signal the carriers: Commence operation Polar Glory!
Comms: Yes sir!

As soon as the word was out the Yorktown class carriers turned into the wind, starting flight operations immediately. Launching first between them over 30 Jsf's as fighter support, then followed with the same number of Jsf's with ground attack stores. The invasion had begun

The sounds of the overflight of the Jsf's caught the Icelandic civilian population by surprise, as there were no fighters in the country after the U.S. removed it's airbase personell from there.

At the same time a message was hand delivered to the Icelandic prime ministers office

This is task force 32, 3rd fleet, the Incorporated states of Hardheads. We are repositioning your country. You have exactly 24 hours to surrender unconditionally, or we will start bombing your capital.


Task force 31, tasked with the invasion of the Faroes
Communication officer: Sir we have a message, in the clear, and in English, from the Faroean goverment.
Rear admiral: Read it.
Comms officer: Sir. It reads:
"We surrender. Please do not harm out citizens any."
Rear admiral: Very good indeed. Contact command, tell them we are ready on this end for phase 2.
Comms officer: Sir!

Communication officer 1: Mr president task force 32 reports operation Polar Glory underway.
President Morgan Blackhand: Very good. Anything else to report?
Comms officer 1: No sir.
Comms officer 2: Hold on. Task force 31 reports that the Faroes have surrendered, and they are ready for phase 2.
President: Excellent. Now just to wait for the Icelanders to do the same, and we can start phase two, the removal of all civilans off the Faroe islands.
