OOC: A few points, this is the Character RP Set in Military Base IC thread. This is closed unless you sign up on the OOC thread, with the neccessary criteria for your character. Everyone here is a cadet, I RP the Commander. Your character is up to you, moody, happy, pessimistic, weak, strong... your choice. Please keep all OOC content to the other thread, this is IC only. This was the last OOC post.... thank you, and feel free to sign up if you want via the OOC thread. I will post my IC post later, as I have to run. Start RPing, and remember, this is just for fun...;)

It was a pleasant day on Mirrodin, three Slivers were napping peacefully in the Tangle, happy with their metal world. They did not know however, that they were near the Redux, Slowly they disappeared, and then reappeared just in time to wake up, by a really high fence. Confused, the Slivers started to wander around, staying hidden, until they could figure out what was going on.

Sergeant Bilko stood at the electricaly operated gate, disguised as a normal piece of fence, with a clipboard in his hand, waiting for the pupils. He heard some rustling sounds, probably some mice running over the leaves. It wasn't his job to go after rats, still, he was bored, nothing better to do. He pinpointed the noise and got a lock with his Desert Eagle Handgun, shooting off 4 shots in quick sucession. He sighed, put his gun away and resumed waiting patiently.

Zack Grass walked towards the dude standing behind the fence. He had just run out of weed (which was his favorite thing to smoke, which in turn was his favorite hobby), so he figured that the dude there could sell him some. Suddenly, the dude pulled out a big m*****f***ing gun, and shot 4 shots. Zack was in the nearest ditch virtually immediately. That was the first (of very few) thing he'd learned in the Military School before he was thrown out.

Zack looked up at the dude. He was wearing a green outfit, and it looked like he'd put away his gun, so Zack took the chance and shouted over to him.

Zack: Hey dude. Stop the damn shooting. I'm trying to find some weed here! Do you happen to have any?

Bilko never answered, he opened the fence and dragged him inside, closing it behind him. He picked him up by the collar. "You want weed eh? Well, you want weed, you'll have to work.... pass the course and you'll get as much weed as you want."
Little crack-head, no way he'll finish the course.... my stash of weed is safe He thought to himself.
He dropped the man to the ground and kicked him until he stood up. "NAME?"

The Slivers were lucky, the bullets did not hit the Reactor Sliver, that would not of been a pretty sight if they had, that would be like playing kick the can with a 70 gigaton nuclear bomb. The winged Sliver was hit though, and wouldn't be flying while the Essence Sliver healed him. A few minuets and some hateful glares at the gates later, The Slivers took off in a low flight over the compound, high enough to see everything but not yet high enough to be anything more than the local birds. They took off for a near by forest to finish healing and keep an eye on the compound. They were intrested in what it was, and what it was being used for.

Bilko looked up at the sky and gaped, hadn't he scared all the birds from this region? The last lot had been so hopeless at the archery range that no bird had dared go near the place for a month, it seemed they were back though. Strange ones as well, ah well.

Zack looked at him with his dialated eyes.

Zack: Huh? What d'ya want? A little of this?!

He breathed the sergeant in the face, thus exposing him for the breath that stinked of old tobacco, alcohol, weed and the taco he had for dinner. .

OOC: OK, I will use some language that some may find offensive, please don't take it personally, Joe Salter is a sad git who I based off a (unbearable) person from real life with a few annoying things added in, the dialect I'll use is scarily reminiscent of this person from RL.

IC: Joe Salter AKA fat boy, made his way reluctantly to the base's fence, shifting his enormous bulk and cuddling his Gordon Freeman plush toy like it was the only thing that had ever mattered, duffle bag over his shoulder as he moaned about having to come here, he popped a spot and a small spurt of puss flew onto the dry earth as the sun beamed overhead.

Joe Salter had finally reached the gate and spied a military man, Joe, being the socialite that he was, thought it would be clever to yell out.

"Yo, wassup nigga!" He said in his pathetic accent, that of a high-pitched-wanna-be rapper who was generally repulsed by all, the man began to turn but Joe had lost his conversational tone, so he simply cuddled his Gordon Freeman plush toy, crowbar and all.

Isabell arrived at the base with her suitcases, she was wearing baggy combat trousers, she was very slim, a green top clung tightly to her body she wore large black sunglasses, her hair was tied back in a high ponytail under a racing green coloured cap.
'Hi guys' she said, dropping her suitcase.

From the safety of their new found hiding spot, the slivers were able to see that this must be some sort of military installation. The BORG computers were not clear on lower technology. The slivers were curious to learn more, but they didn't want to get shot at either, nor did they want to scare everyone and cause a disturbance. If only they had a Mistform Sliver.

Zizou dressed in military fatigues, a long think overcoat and carrying a rather large rucksack walked towards the metal fence. Pausing for a moment he saw what he assumed was the Commander humiliating a random recruit. Standing tall at 6'4 and 320lbs he walked towards the Commander......

Isabell stood in the line-up feeling slight in the minority, seeing no other women, and a large man walking over, she saluted sticking her chest out, and lowering her sunglasses.

"Are you the maid,"questioned Zizou pausing for a second while he was walking towards the the camp.

The grey saloon pulled up outside the main gate to the Camp. The driver switched the ignition off, and leant back in the seat.

“Well,” he said aloud. “We’re here.”

From the back of the car, the teenager sighed. He looked out the window at the place, and set his mouth in a grim line.

“Remind me why I’m here again?” he asked the driver in a distinct English accent, his thoughts running over what a godforsaken place this seemed.

The driver smiled a little. “You know damn well. You’re father wants you to get experience in a more advanced military setting than we’ve got.” He turned in his seat and looked pointedly at the nineteen-year-old sitting in camouflage jeans and a leather jacket. “And if I recall, you didn’t have much choice, and still don’t.”

Daniel Vosselieu looked up at his government driver. “Gee, thanks Eric,” he said sarcastically, scowling at the man.

The driver sighed. “Look, it’s not going to be forever, and the experience should be valuable.” He smiled. “Come on, where’s that Vosselieu stiff upper lip we’ve all heard about.”

Daniel smiled a little. “It’s in my bag.” With one hand, he grabbed his suitcase and ruffled his dark hair in a defeated gesture. “God, let’s get this over with.”

Eric smiled. “Hey, you’ll do fine,” the man said as he turned to face the car and turned on the ignition. “I’ll see you in a while.”

Daniel climbed out of the vehicle and watched the saloon pull away into the distance. He watched the retreating vehicle as if the last train to paradise had pulled out of station without him. Then, turning on one heel, he began to walk into the base, where the main gate had been opened already.

Rossok trudged towards the military base, apparently having walked all the way from... well, wherever he'd been before. He wasn't carrying anything except a bad temper, and all he wore were some red shorts and a white shirt. Which stood in stark contrast to his green skin and yellow eyes. He was about as tall as an average man, though more muscular than most.

As he approached the entrance of the base his snout jerked up as he looked around.

"Greetings!" he roared as he reached the gate. "I am Rossok! If you direct me to the nearest explosives I will get started!"

Daniel climbed out of the vehicle and watched the saloon pull away into the distance. He watched the retreating vehicle as if the last train to paradise had pulled out of station without him. Then, turning on one heel, he began to walk into the base, where the main gate had been opened already.


Isabell saw a very handsome young man walk through the gates....
phew finally some eye candy she thought to herself, standing in line waiting to be inspected, flicking her eyes casually in his direction.

David walked into the camp, looking around. The main gate led into a central courtyard where, he guessed, drill practice took place. The buildings around him seemed rather decrepit, and David looked around the place with a degree of mild apprehension.

'Dear God,' he thought. 'What in the Hell have I got myself into here.'

After a moment, he spotted the group of new cadets, one of which was being harrassed verbally by what David took to be the Base Commander. David walked over to the two standing there. One was a thin, attractive girl who seemed by the look on her face to be questioning as to her being here as David had been earlier. The other man was a giant of figure, standing above David's 5 Foot 11 Inches and seemed to be more comfortable with his surroundings.

David dropped his case onto the ground in his place in the lineup and gave the others a casual salute that seemed more of an idle gesture than military doctrine. 'At least it seems I won't suffer alone,' he thought.

"How're you all doing?" He smiled slightly. "I'm Daniel. It seems..." he glanced at the Commander currently still attacking a kid who didn't seem all there. "...we will be going through Hell together." He turned back to them and smiled wryly, before a huge voice behind him made him turn and blink as he looked up at a huge, green-skilled reptile.

"Christ," he muttered, before nodding in greeting.

While the others arrived, Zack walked over to them.

Zack: Hi. You woudn't happen to have some... - he looked to the right and then to the left - weed... would you? I can pay.

"So, what're you in for?" He said half-joking, smiling at her.

'I am Isabell Penmark from Tres Bonne' she added, extending her hand.

'I believe we are sharing a dorm together'

Daniel took the hand and shook it firmly, nodding as he did. "Isabel," he repeated, and smiled. "Nice name."

'I am in to improve my intelligence qualities' she said, giggling.

'I was a surveillance reserve team leader' she said,

'...and I am only 17' she said, cutely,

Rossok noticed he was standing in the wrong place as a cargo truck nearly knocked him over, and he jogged over to the morass of cadets.

"I almost joined up as a tyre then," he snorted. "Greetings! I am Rossok. Am... I supposed to have a uniform already? And is there any food around here? I haven't found anything to eat in three frekking days."

'I am in to improve my intelligence qualities' she said, giggling.

'I was a surveillance reserve team leader' she said,

'...and I am only 17' she said, cutely,

Daneil raised an eyebrow. "Quite an accomplishment," he said in an impressed tone. He was starting to feel a little out of his depth around people with previous experience. He smiled a little, feeling a little guilty for some reason. "I'm just..erm...here for basic training, so you'll probably be above me straight away."

'awww' she said,

'I'll look after you' she winked sweetly.

Daniel grinned back. "I'm sure you will." In the back of his mind, the little voice reassessed the situation. 'This may not be so insufferable after all...'

He turned to the large green man, and nodded. "Hey, I'm Daniel. I don't think we should have a uniform or anything yet, so I think we just wait."

Zack suddenly awoke, looked around, and then looked at the other cadets.

Zack: Noone want to sell? Damn...

This might not be so boring Isabell thought, her heart racing already and she hadnt even started her physical.

He turned to the large green man, and nodded. "Hey, I'm Daniel. I don't think we should have a uniform or anything yet, so I think we just wait."

"Daniel!" he bellowed, roughly grabbing his shoulders for a few seconds. "A strong name! So, they wish to test our patience? I can wait, if they can stand the sounds of my STOMACH RUMBLING!" He shouted towards the end of that sentence, looking around as he did.

'So, Daniel, I see its just us two in the A block, because two others havent turned up' Isabell said, sounding slightly suggestive, but still looked so innocent and angelic.

David smiled at the girl. He was beginning to like this place.

"Seem so; I think we'll manage somehow though..."

At which point he was grabbed by the shoulders by the hungry green man. He grinned. "Seems to be a test all the time. What's your handle, fella?"

Isabell giggled softly.

'Howdy Rossok' she said, cutely from behind Daniels back, he was very tall in comparison to her

Zack walked over to the rest of the gang.

Zack: Hi. Are you here to be tornmented by that crazy dude too? I'm Zack, by the way.

'Hi Zack, I am Isabell Penmark' she said, extending her long golden arm.

Zack walked over to the rest of the gang.

Daniel nodded. "I'm Daniel. And no, we haven't been tormented by him yet." He grinned, glancing at Isabell and Rossok. "I get the feeling it won't be too long before he does though."

'If he starts on me, well.....' Isabell said, raising her slim eyebrows and winking at Daniel again.

Zack looked her over discreetly while shaking her hand.
Zack: Nice to meet you. Tell me, why are you here in this hellhole? And... you wouldn't happen to have any weed, would you? Its for medical purposes...

The Slivers could see a small line forming, and what appeared to be a non-human of some sort. The Slivers were intrested in meeting the scaly creature. Perhaps he would not be so frightened of a giant Snake, but not now. The Slivers flew into the camp, at the far end, well out of sight and decied to see if they could get closer.

Daniel nodded. "I'm Daniel. And no, we haven't been tormented by him yet." He grinned, glancing at Isabell and Rossok. "I get the feeling it won't be too long before he does though."

OOC: This is a character RP right? I am so bored of military army RP. The other RP I'm in is a little slow right now.

IC: There was a screech of tyres and a military jeep drove up and braked fast near the base. A man got out wearing goggles abouve his eyes resting on his fringe.
'Allo lads, this is the cadet training place innit?' He spat out a toothpick he had been chewing.
'Names Jeep.' He held out a hand.

'I am in here to improve my intelligence gathering skills' she said quietly.

Zack looked at her. Akwardly.

Zack: Why do you go in here volunteerly? I'm only here because of the court order..

Zack: Hi, Zack. Let me tell you.. That dude's crazy. He almost shot me dead just a minute ago! I need a joint. Do you have one?

Daniel shook his head with a smile. He felt a little sorry for the guy, if he was honest, because he seemed okay.

"Sorry mate," he said as he picked up his suitcase. "Never touch it myself."

He nodded to the others and caught up with Isabel. "Well, if we're in the same barracks, we might as well both chuck our stuff in there at the same time." He grinned at her. "So, intelligence agent at 17, eh? You must be damn good."

Zack looked at her. Akwardly.

"Court order?" Rossok exclaimed. "This is where we learn to do battle! Why would you need to be 'forced'?"

Jeep looked at each recruit in turn, finishing with Rossock
'Cor, big fella in't he?'

'well I do try' she giggled, standing unpacking her case alongside him.

'so i guess you have a sweetheart' she giggled.

'Actchally the ol' sarge offered me the choice to come ere. On the other hand the other choice was cleaning the entire camp three times.' He said in a cheerful cockney accent.

Zack: I'm only here cuz' I got booted from both my High School for accidentaly burning up half the library while smoking, then from the Military School for creating a fire-hazard by smoking in the laundry room. The courts ordered me here, or else I'm going to have to do community service. I don't wanna clean up old people! I don't wanna kill people! I just want to play guitar.

Are you sure you don't have a joint, or even a sigarette?

Daniel walked back from the barracks where he had left his stuff, allowing Isabel some privacy in getting her stuff sorted. He paused by the others, looking over at Zack as he explained himself.

"Y'know," he said. "You might just want to knock the weed on the head for a while dude, or that psycho is liable to knock you on the head." He inclined his head in the direction of the Base Commander's office.

He looked over the others - an unusual assortment of people to do Boot Camp with. 'Should be interesting,' he though with a smile.

'Actchally the ol' sarge offered me the choice to come ere. On the other hand the other choice was cleaning the entire camp three times.' He said in a cheerful cockney accent.

"Cleaning?" Rossok snorted, apparently disgusted by the very idea. "You definitely made the right decision then!"

"It is hard to hold anything in your mouth without damaging it when you have these," he shrugged.

Daniel looked across at the other man, and smiled. Daniel had a tendency to say little and think more, which sometimes made conversation a little slower in pace than usual. He looked at Zack for a moment, and judged him to be basically a nice guy in the wrong place. He clicked his tongue.

"Very attractive girl, certainly. Seems really nice as well. I'd like to get to know her a lot more. Mind you..." He looked at the other Cadets. "I reckon we'll all know eachother a lot better at the other end of this."

"That's not what the bartender in Germany said after I punched him in the mouth," Rossok said proudly. "Although it wasn't really my fault or intention, he was asking for it."

The Slivers could hear snipets of conversation they could not understand. The Green Scaly man opened his mouth to reveal an impresive set of fangs.

Zack nodded in agreement as Daniel spoke. "Well, I hope to be back home with Cath and Ginny as soon as possible. But I also think that we'll get to know eachother, yes." By now, Zack was fully awake.

"Ahh..." Daniel nodded. He should have guessed at least one of them was involved in the drugs Zack seemed so hooked to. Daniel gave him a sly grin. "For a moment, I thought you may have been boasting two women on the go or something."

"Yes they are, yes they are..." Rossok said, trailing off as he looked around. "Speaking of which, I don't suppose ale is available at places like this, is it?"

Daniel glanced around the courtyard again at the decrepid buildings in white-washed grey. "Frankly, if this place has running water, it'll have exceeded my expectations."

"Ahh..." Daniel nodded. He should have guessed at least one of them was involved in the drugs Zack seemed so hooked to. Daniel gave him a sly grin. "For a moment, I thought you may have been boasting two women on the go or something."
"Now there's a thought," Rossok said, followed by a belly-laugh. "I would be pleased with one, but two would just be... well, good."

"Frankly, if this place has running water, it'll have exceeded my expectations."

"That is what I thought," Rossok said. "I have seen some dumps in my time, but this one needs to be given an award. So long as they have some animal flesh I will be content, at least."

"Ahh..." Daniel nodded. He should have guessed at least one of them was involved in the drugs Zack seemed so hooked to. Daniel gave him a sly grin. "For a moment, I thought you may have been boasting two women on the go or something."

Rossok ran over and disappeared into the kitchen. He emerged shortly afterwards with an almost-cooked slab of beef hanging from his hand. Despite the billows of steam that blew from it he was happily tearing chunks of it away with his teeth, swallowing them whole.

"This is more like it," Rossok said enthusiastically, patting Jeep roughly on the back with his spare hand.

"Cheers mate. I owe you one. Perhaps you could aquire some weed or sigarettes too?"

Jeep wandered out of the kitchen with his suspiciously overfilled pack, he made his way accross the grounds and found what he was looking for.
He looked up at the huge hanger and grinned as he hauled open the heavy doors.
'Awwww, yea.' He marvelled at the large squad carrier armoured veical.
He had a happy glint in his eye as he pulled his goggles over his eyes.
He got into the viecal and revved up the engine.

Daniel raised an eyebrow, and looked for a similar hatch under his own bed. Sure enough, there seemed to be one there as well. Daniel shoved his stuff in and closed the hatch. "I like the way you think, Isabel," he said, leaning on the bed with his arms and grinning across at her.

Jeep laughed outloud as he heard the beast of an engine start up, he gently pushed his foot down on the pedal.
'Lets see what you can do luv.' The viecal burst out of the hanger with a screech of strained rubber against tarmac.

He tore round the base testing out the machines limits

Daniel stepped out of the barracks, wondering where the engine nosie was coming from. He quickly dived back into the barracks when a large military transport roared past a few inches away.

"Hell!" He cursed, getting up from the floor and glancing outside to make sure it was clear this time.

Eventually he slowed the carrier down, he opened the door and stumbled out with his hair messed up. He found his legs were not quite working right.

The Slivers thought a transport was landing somewhere, a chance to go home! Alas no, it was a very large truck. The Slivers quickly slithered out of the way, unfortunatly into the full view of everyone.

OOC: These Slivers are 3-4 feet tall, when flat on the ground and not raised, and 13-16 feet long. One is white, one is blue, and one is glowing orange. do not shoot the orange one because it would not be a good idea.

'Wait until we get to live fire,' he thought. 'We'll see how good he is with a weapon.' Daniel was pretty confident that the cheerful driving maniac was probably a dab hand with a weapon as well.

IC: Daniel looked around the camp once more from where he stood. The place, on reflection, didn't seem too bad at all. At least, that was the conclusion for now.

Feeling weary, Daniel suddenly thought that it may be a good idea to get some shut-eye before the Base Commander started the course. He wouldn't know how much he'd get over the coming times.

Turning, he walked into the barracks and lay down to grab some sleep before commencement begun.

The Slivers Slithered into a nearby corner, the night coming on strong. The Slivers were pleasently surprised that the people weren't scared of them. Now to understand them, and call home of course. In their corner, they Slithered over eachother until they resembled a tightly wound ball, their heads resting ontop of each other, and fell asleep.

"My legs hurt," Rossok said suddenly. "I've walked miles today. I am going to sleep!"

He wandered off to the barracks, slamming the door behind him. He saw his bed -- cushioned, as he feared -- and simply spread himself out on the floor next to it and started snoring.
