The blood has begun to run from the Pyramid of the Sun as the High Priest has begun extracting human hearts from victims.

Already 120 people have been sacrificed, and more will be.

Right now, 30,000 people are protesting the sacrifices and lighting candles down Main Road in the capital city of the Aztec Lands. The Emperor himself is overseeing the sacrifices, and security is tight.

The sacrifices will continue, day and night, until all 23,000 people are killed.

After heart extraction, the victim is thrown down the pyramid, where he or she dies of blood loss. The victim is then ripped apart by the crowd.

The Protectorate of Angelico, though troubled by this practice, recognizes the sovereign right of Aztec Lands to govern their people.

Despite my objection to this practice, as it has made attempts to gain entry into my nation as well, I have no intentions of interfering. “I found this slightly…amusing…” said Sub-Command Fires, handing off a PDA to Director-General Jonathan Davis, head of the OIS.

“Oh? Lets see here.” Said Davis, skimming the PDA, after only a moment, he barked a quick, harsh laugh, and looked up.

“You know, it takes a special kind of man to find humor in the sacrifice of 120 people, and more to come, by this method. That’s what being a high-ranking intelligence officer can do to you. People become desensitized to death, soldiers, police officers, and now, even your common teenagers playing video games. It takes a special kind of person…” he repeated and trailed off. He reached into the desk drawer, and removed a pack of expensive cigarettes, removing one and striking his gold Zippo, embroidered with the OIS’s seal, and lit it, taking a long drag, then tilting his head back and exhaling into the air.

“It takes an even more strange people to condone and allow such violence and bloodshed. 30,000 people, their neighbors, mothers, brothers, and friends, put to the sword like sheep to the slaughter. Then, and this is the disturbing part, torn apart by the crowd, like carrion eaters, sweeping in for a feast. Even if they're using prisoners of war, the mere fact that you’re ripping apart what once was a human being should be bothering someone morally.” He said, almost to himself.

Then he looked right at Fires, with hate and venom in his eyes

“Though, what do you expect from the unenlightened pagans and their false gods?” he sneered. He took another drag from his cigarette, “These people, that society, that entire culture, is a danger to modern, moral nations. Watch them, and watch them well. You never know when the wicked, and immoral may come to attempt to topple the righteous.” He concluded

“Yes sir, it will be done, SATREC will realign assets, do you wish for HUMINT to be established?” asked Fires

“No, no, people on the ground will not be necessary. ELINT and SATREC will be sufficient. I don’t want to know what secrets they have, only when and where they are moving forces. If the forces of Babylon come to knock on our gates, I want to be ready for them.” Davis flicked the cigarette into the ashtray. “Thank you for bringing this to my attention, you are dismissed, Sub-Commander.

“Yes sir.” Said Fires, saluting and departing

Davis leaned back in his chair and half closed his eyes, as he muttered
“Lets pray that Heavens on our side.”
