Chemical Therapy Devices
This section details into what is known in Witzgall as "Chemical Therapy", and all assorted devices used by the "therapists." Most people know of this kind of device as simply a drug. Some nations view these as "bad" and deam them illegal, but we in Witzgall have found more....shall we say "constructive" purposes to these drugs than just seizing and destroying them. While some of these drugs don't really have a purpose in torture or interrogation, some actually do. Some, however, are used "just for laughs".

Heroin
A white, odorless, bitter crystalline compound, C17H17NO(C2H3O2)2, that is derived from morphine and is a highly addictive narcotic. Also called diacetylmorphine, heroin is a drug that is highly lethal. One dose can kill a grown man, but most of the time it just hits him into wonderland to meet with Alice. Heroin can be injected for maximum results, usually into the arm. It causes high hallucination and paranoia, and also causes a "low" after the dose wears off. Perfect for lowering a man's confidence in himself.

Cocaine
A colorless or white crystalline alkaloid, C17H21NO4, extracted from coca leaves, used as a drug for its euphoric and stimulating effects. Cocaine can also kill somebody in a single dose, though its 1-dose-kill rate is substantially lower than that of heroin. It can also cause paranoia and hallucinations, and can sometimes even cause seizures. Cocaine is a very dangerous substance, usually found in the powder form.

Absinthe
Ah, the wonderous drink called absinthe. Made from alchohol and an extract from wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), absinthe is an emerald green colored drink that is very bitter. The drink then turns into an opaque white as the essential oils precipitate out of the alcoholic solution. Absinthe contains thujone, which is a suspected convulsant. Thujone's mechanism of action is not known, although structural similarities between thujone and tetrahydrocannabinol (the active component in marijuana) have led some to hypothesize that both substances have the same site of action in the brain. Thujone makes up 40 to 90% (by weight) of the essence of wormwood, from which absinthe is made.

Thiopental Sodium
Thiopental Sodium is basically truth serum. A yellowish-white hygroscopic powder, C11H17N2O2SNa, injected intravenously as a general anesthetic and used in psychotherapy to induce a relaxed state, thiopental sodium is a great interrogation drug. Used by many militaries in several wars, thiopental sodium is the leading and most widely distrubuted (a while ago) by countries. Now, thiopental sodium has lost all "known exportation" uses, and many militaries/countries do not encourage its use.

Scopolamine
A thick, syrupy, colorless alkaloid, C17H21NO4, extracted from plants such as henbane and used primarily as a mydriatic and sedative, and to treat nausea and prevent motion sickness. Scopolamine is also another kind of "truth serum", which can induce a euphoric and relaxed state of being. During this time, a interrogator can ask questions and actually expect a truthful response. Although the drug is not as strong or as potent as Thiopental Sodium, it is cheaper and is ideal for poor or weaker nations, or nations that feel like saving a few bucks.

Hydrochloric Acid
A clear, colorless, fuming, poisonous, highly acidic aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride, HCl, used as a chemical intermediate and in petroleum production, ore reduction, food processing, pickling, and metal cleaning. It is found in the stomach in dilute form. We do not sell the "diluted form", but feel free to dilute your own. Basically used in physical torture, but still a chemical, hydrochloric acid can be used to eat off skin of a captive, put into their eyes to cause them blindness (permanent and/or temporary), and even to burn hair off of a scalp.

Physical Therapy Devices
This section details into physical abuse and the devices needed to make it really, really hurt. This section holds the things needed to beat the crap out of a captive, and to "persuade" them to speak.

Strappado
The strappado, also known as the pendulum, is one of the easiest and, therefore, one of the most common torture techniques. All one needs to set up a strappado was a sturdy rafter and a rope. The victim's wrists are bound behind her/his back, and the rope would be tossed over the beam. Then, the victim is repeatedly dropped from a height, so that her/his arms and shoulders will dislocate. We can cheaply sell you a strappado setup, premade, for a very low price. The Strappado is perfect for poor or cheap nations who still want to torture a captive.

Brass/Steel Knuckles
Ah, welcome to the olden days. Brass knuckles, now commonly replaced with steel knuckles, slip onto the user's hands and are used to add an extra "hurt" to his standard punch. Cheap and yet effective, even in modern society.

Teeth Shackles
Ouch. These little pests shackle onto a prisoner's legs, and have small ridged teeth that basically "clip" onto the wearer's skin, and basically rip it off after a while. This causes massive discomfort and pain to the wearer, and is another "old yet effective" tactic.

The Chance
This device is made to severly punish heretics and traitors. A small, standard coffin sized steel or titanium chamber, The Chance is a nightmare. The use of such object is not openly discussed by many, but usually the subject of torture goes through the following: You are placed inside of a coffin sized box, with hardly and room to move about. There are four holes, two higher than your eyes (about forehead level) and two lower than your eyes (about waist level). Water begins to pour into one hole. This water can either be severly cold, which will cause hypothermia, or severly hot, which will cause severe burns. Every time you answer a question untruthfully or lie, another hole is used to pour the water into. If all four holes are used, they are usually sealed and the captive dies in a short amount of time from either suffocation, hypothermia, severe burns, heart attack, etc.
