the construction of 10 supercarriers began today with the hull being laid for the "clinton"

specs: 1400 ft long 400 ft wide, tall as a 7 story building (not sure but heard that phrase before on the history channel)

Flight deck: 350 feet wide, 1300 feet long

Catapolts: 2

Planes: 80 F-35C, 5 KC-10s (helicopter), 2 recon U2's (they dont even need the caltapult to get airborne with there light wieght, tell me if you see any problems with basing a U2 on a air craft carrier)

Crew:3300 (100 pilots, 300 air maintance personal/ship maintance,2900 crew (gunners,midshipmen,etc.)

Purpulsion: 4 Nuclear M-1 powerplants (Revertromance designed) .76
million KW each, they produce more than enough power for the 5 propellors and 1000s of lights (flight deck, inner hall, tower, etc.)

Range: unlimited (nuclear) becuase of its ability to be resupplied at sea: holds stores for 4 month cruises

Stores: 10 million 20 mm rounds, 10 million 40 mm rounds, 120,000 5 inch shells, 70,000 SRMs (short range missles (defense only not attack)), food and supplies for 4 months, and 5 million gallons of avation fuel (all center of the ship and below water line (hello subs ;) )

Arms: 50 20mm guns placed in 2s, 70 40mm guns, 10 missle batteries (pods of 4)10 5 inch guns,5 miniguns (converted to 20mm) most of the guns placed around the tower and along the flight decks

Defense: (uh most most of what i just posted and 25 inch alloyed stell armor belts ontop of 5 inches of Tugsten

Beam:170ft

Draft 42 ft

Speed:32 knots

Displacement:150,000 tons

OOC; i think i covered most of it tell me if anything doesnt fit of make sense

production cost 5.5 billion (not including aircraft) plus another 1,600,000,000 for the 80 F-35c (there like 20-22m a plane) so the ship plus planes cost 7.1 billion a ship

running cost: 100 million a ship (mostly crews wages)

construction begins ASAP and the 10 supercarriers finish in 5 days time (5 NS years) so 2 a day......open to comments good or bad (though im not gonna pay much attention to the bad  )

You have 97 million people. How in hell can you finance 10 such huge ships. Unless this is your navy, army, economy, and airforce combined...

right i just throw it all in one bigass milatary money pool basically and the cost is only 71 billion. if im making 2 a NS year than that means its only 14b.....considering i have 54B total and my milatary is currently operating at 24.5 B i have a bit of money to blow on ships

It takes seven years to build a Nimitz-class carrier, and these are considerably larger. Plus your shipbuilders don't have anywhere near the level of experience the US has in building carriers, so it'll probably take longer. Certainly longer than the six months you seem to think.
The average annual operating cost of a Nimitz-class is around $160,000,000 - considerably higher than your overly conservative estimate.
Your crew is ridiculously small (Nimitz-class has a crew of 3200, plus an additional 2480 for the airwing), and the idea of having just 300 people maintaining 80 aircraft plus all the systems in use aboard a carrier is laughable.

fine

Changes IC:

the modifications have been made noting the increible size of the carriers it seems that the 6 month goal will be put back..............6 YEARS the news hits the Navy hard and the ships must be changed to fit a 5000 man crew airwing plus ship personal with so many more men sailing on these ships the running cost has been raised to 250m a ship and the 10 ships will be finished near the same time thanks to the public and commerical ship builders of Revertromance (i was getting at the point i have more ship yards so i could work on them at the same time, were as simply milatary i have only 1 shipyard)

and yes ive never RPed with you before, im an archapelo and if you ever seen my map youd see why a strong navy is important to me and my people: THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE US AT SHIPBUILDING

Yes, there is a problem with hosting U2s off a carrier that size. Unless the airframe was overhauled to have folding (there goes your light weight airframe) or removable wings (err...), it is simply not a good idea to even try. The U2 would need a cat because the wingspan would prevent it from starting from the rear of the deck because of the island type ATC tower. And i'm positive the airframe is not sturdy enough the way it is to withstand that type of sudden accelleration. Also, arresting the thing once it lands is too much stress. It takes the U.S. six years and over a couple TRILLION dollars to build a new Nimitz class. It would take your entire population to create one in six months, and then it would cost one hundred percent more. I'm sorry.

However, my nation may be interested in going in on building carriers with you, as Krobar is in need of a flagship. However, at this time, it is not financially possible for us to even committ to one ship. Maybe we could talk payment plans?

oh and going in on building carriers would be interesting if your talking about a storefront or if you simply want the carrier for your navy id sell you a few but it'd have to wait til i finish my original order of 10, your welcome to try and produce yourself as long as your not selling it if thats the case we could work out a payment plan for the production rights
